I tried it today, I agree, no Green Apple, no Tonka, no Amber and no Frankincense, they got replaced by Lavender, Cedarwood, Patchouli and Vetiver. They replaced the sweet and vibrant notes with woody notes. Also, it's quiet, not announced like the EDP, I think it doesn't project as much either. This release took a different direction, I don't see why it's called intense. They should've named it Dark for example.

I find the intense to be MILES better than the EDP and Parfum. The green apple is so screechy and immature smelling. Smells like a cheap shower gel. The Intense seems to be waaay smoother and more classy. Just depends on what you like!

What YSL is doing to this line along with other big fragrance brand makers is what’s making me go niche and move up to their more upper level frags (ie Tuxedo)

Thank you! As soon as you said this new version is missing what makes the Y line the Y line I was like wow exactly as I first thought when I smelled it. Edp intense is definitely a generic smelling fragrance.

Great comparison Man, honestly I'm not a fan of the EDP because like you said its pretty cloying. The EDT is my favorite. I do like the aldehydes but that green apple in the EDP just ain't for me. Traded mine for a bottle of DHI.

I own the EDP, and Le Parfum. I definitely wear Le Parfum far more often than the EDP. For the same reasons you mentioned too, it's just a smoother, less cloying fragrance. And even though most people rave about the performance of the EDP, Parfum is just as good off my skin. Definitely going to pass on this "intense" flanker though. Thanks man. ✌️

I agree the EDT 2022 is my favorite of the line, but the EDP is quite nice. Especially with that Apple.

fraiche is the best for the heat followed by EDT. The others would be too cloying.
