Im 32 been watching Tennessee football since before i can remember honestly Florida is our kryptonite it doesn't matter where they play they seem to always have our number. So if we can get neyland rocking and make it harder for them Florida boys we should win.
Vols are 2-17 against Gators in last 19 meetings, I've seen them flop against Florida so many times, even when Tennessee has the better team. Vols are 15.5 point favorites, seems way too high.
I guarantee you the reason that Billy is doing the two to one not based on performance it’s because he doesn’t want to throw away mertz future in the NFL even though he’s probably like a super late pick, but if he just benches him for lagway, he won’t get picked at all Mertz could possibly be a late draft pick if you sit him down that’s over and you just took that guys future away from him and I think Billy knows that. Honestly it speaks to Billy’s character even tho his job is on the line
Florida plays its best against Tennessee. Tennessee has serious issues on offense that start with the OL. Florida could easily walk away with a "W" today! Nico looks as if he's being discouraged to run up the middle.
I know Joe ran out of bounds against ole miss but people tend to forget the play before he threw a absolute dime that was dropped in the end zone by Tennessee
It's cause Heupel has scared Nico to death of throwing an Int. If he would tell Nico to just sling it, we would be 5-0 right now... In my soul I know that he has GOT to have faith in Nico's arm talent and stop holding him back for fear of a Turnover.
The season all depends on the offense it looks like to me… can easily be 8-4 l losing to FL, Bama, GA, and if they don’t watch out, it can turn into 6-6 by also losing to KY and Vandy
If we go 6-6 this year after starting 4-0, I will give you all of my possessions and move to Burma. A 6-6 record is NOT happening this year, I assure you. 8-4 is definitely still a possibility tho.

I predicted preseason that we'd be 9-3, and I'm still sticking with that. We have a RS Freshman QB who's played 6 full games in his career and a sophomore LT in a new system. That alone is recipe for at least 2 losses. Add to that our recruiting rankings (avg ~15th over last 4 years) and there's no way you're escaping with an 11-1 season unless u get very lucky. We were all just spoiled in 2022 by the uber-elite play of a 6th-year QB... Those years don't come often. I am done watching until we can win four straight at home. I have trust and faith in Heupel and Nico, but they have to solve the biggest problem, which is SEC teams have figured out how to counter the VOLS offense, and NICO, while talented, is not experienced to adapt fully to these changes. But it is a team sport, and others around him, must raise up and enable him.
Oline play caused a lot of the issues on Saturday. We had open routes but Nico was either being chased or sacked. He did miss a few routes. I counted 3 open TD passes that were missed because Nico had someone in his face. Hats off to Arkansas for pressuring him as well as they did. Oline has to give him some more time
It's not like they just all the sudden learned that a 3-4 is how to beat us. They were running 3-4 in 2022 against Hooker when he shredded, it's just that he had more time in the pocket AND he was throwing over middle of field. The real key to us unlocking our offense is Heupel telling Nico to let it rip! He's scared him to death of TOs and losing the game, when he should be building confidence by letting him throw these passes. It's only way he'll get better. I want to see Nico being uber-aggressive and just living with the results.
Im a vols fan but i can't pick them to beat florida. I don't see how we do because our offense is horrible and our O-lineman is the worst in the SEC. Nico has to get alot better, quick.
Man you're basing that off of 6 quarters of football... Heupel just needs to tell Nico to let it rip and stop playing apprehensive and we will score 35+ a game. It's not as gloomy as you make it.
