Firstly I would like to give credit where credit is due and say that this PMV is mainly inspired by Wolfythewitches PMV "Creature". Their art has inspired me for years and I hope you check out their work so you might become inspired aswell or just appreciate the absolutely beautiful art.
Secondly I want to give some background to this video. Since Techno himself didn't get the chance to give his character an ending his story has been left unfinished. The lack of closure has been tugging at my mind for a year now so I decided to try and give him some semblance of an ending so his character might rest aswell.
All in all a tribute to a man we didn't deserve. May he rest in peace.

I adore the references to his real life honestly. With the fact he was injured in his shoulder and had bandages there considering that was where the cancer had started and the scene with wilbur throwing down apples referencing Wil's story on how he accidentally beaned him right in the shoulder?
Absolutetly gorgeous. A wonderful tribute to our first year without this wonderful man.

Info came from the article "Technoblade To Be Honored by SFA with Courage Award at New York Gala" by the Sarcoma Foundation of America, which I think is the organization that Techno worked with. I didn't know this before, but I guess he was probably trying to downplay the severity to us. o7

I’m still baffled at how great of a person he was: he was talking about his ‘philosophy’ one time on stream and how he did things because he was told he couldn’t. He tried to make every story he was involved in to be the greatest, because he wanted to. Because it wasn’t a thing you were supposed to do.
So he decided to do it.
Genuinely one of the *Greatest* people I’ve seen.
That would explain his hijinks in MCM and Earth, he seemed to search out any way to break rules there was. I'm amused by how he was one of those "we didn't think we'd need to add this specific rule but because of _someone_ we do" people.
What stream did he talk about his philosophy? I want to watch it

I must confess that I usually prefer more hog-like depictions of Techno’s character. However, in this case, I love that you chose to depict him as a human because it makes for a beautiful homage to not just the fictional character, but the real, brilliant person behind it.
Edit: also, though this might sound cliche, this is criminally underrated; you did an absolutely beautiful job in creating this, and it deserves more attention.

Fair point. Link also isn't the only one to have blue shirt, short sword, a shield, ride a horse, climb mountains etc.
But yeah, you're probably right, these fanarts of technoblade look like some other character with long hair and elfish qualities and don't look like Link at all.

This has just made me sob, the tones and the lines, are perfected. This style is amazing, this tribute to Techno is one that he would smile upon. Also the fact you made so many frames of art and managed to connect them with the song while giving it story and depth. Is just amazing.

It's my favorite band and for some reason I always tend to link their songs to Technoblade. I think this video is an accurate representation of that mental connection

The ending… ow. The way you used Kristin as the Goddess of Death (pretty sure that’s her story) and Technoblade reuniting with her is just so beautiful. Techno wasn’t even sad at his death, he was happy to be reunited

The idea of his final moments being with momza is incredible. Both upsetting to leave but wonderful in that moment that he leaves knowing what he’s done for others. Absolutely amazing.
I started crying.. Not just because it's been a year and the song is bittersweet, but because of the care put into this video. Every frame probably took hours to complete. Why would someone go through such troubles for one video? Out of incredible respect for one man who's now gone.

I loved how you showed the wintery landscape and the forest, as if the cold times have passed and Technoblade has found peace in the springtime. Your artwork is beautiful, and the theme reminded me of Legend of Zelda.
Everything about this is amazing, the artwork, the song, literally everything. It is worthy of the Blade. I bet Techno would be happy to see all the incredible things people have made or done in his memory. I think we have many more years before this community even thinks about letting go of his memory, maybe even a few more generations. This is absolutely beautiful, I can't even begin to praise it enough! Your use of color and lighting is directly translated into immediate, physical emotions and that takes years to perfect. This is the Technoblade animatic equivalent to a groundbreaking Pixar movie. I don't know if you're in art school or going to college for art, but your professors should be insanely proud of you. Color, depth, perspective, lighting, harmony, emphasis, framing, you are using them all wonderfully and consistently throughout ever image! Keep making beautiful things, keep loving Technoblade, and keep on keeping on!
The extreme time and effort that went into this is visible through out the whole video. Every frame full of detail and care. Enough so to be a wallpaper or poster. And paired with the song and story makes it a emotional rollercoster. The joy, the saddness, the peace, that is shown through out. All in all this is a masterpiece. Techno never dies🩷

I feel like I don't have the proper words to describe the range of emotions this makes me feel. My eyes are watery, my head is full of memories and I'm grinning with joy of what we had with him, what he gave us and what you did with it.
Your art is breathtaking and although I reverently watched without pausing the first time, I'll take my time and enjoy each frame to its full measure. The lighting, the hues, the emotions you portray with the characters (Steve and Techno looking up to the sky with such contentment made me sob and laugh at the same time), the little references to what happened IRL.

this is beautiful. thank you for making this. Its so wonderfully drawn and the song is perfect. everything here is how I remember Technoblade, especially as I knew him through the dream SMP and character he played in it. A year since his passing, and I still have brief moments that I forget hes not around anymore, even when I'm looking at all of these tributes and thinking "I wonder what he thinks of this". I remember the day the news broke I was going into town and that morning I thought "I should really start watching more techno streams" it was strange. on my way home my friend messaged me to ask if I'm okay and told me to watch the video. I spent the rest of the ride home hoping and hoping that the title didn't mean what I thought it did. There's something so strange about grieving someone you never met and don't have direct contact with because to me it just feels like he's still around and that's hes just offline. and its kind of true. except now he's not around but he will always be online

Your art is gorgeous! I'm a new and very casual Dream SMP fan so I thought I'd mostly look at the paintings themselves without the lore knowledge but with your brilliant visual storytelling even I could understand what's going on.
And let me praise the art for a bit longer: the way you draw humans and the painterly look you get with different brushstrokes, the landscapes and the lighting in this PMV is magnificent!

p.s. the oh hellos are my favorite musical artists of all time, and glowing is such a perfect song for this. i highly commend you for that choice.

This was absolutely incredible! The colors, the attention to detail, it is so pretty. The parallels broke me, Techno's shoulder injury and Will in the tree picking apples with Techno, I recognized it immediately. And there are probably many more that I missed, it was all so well done and made with so much care. Every frame is a masterpiece, thank you for making this it is so beautiful.

Honestly, this is very fitting with some of the last images being him walking towards the Goddess of Death and wholly embracing her knowing why he can see her.
His accepting her also makes sense with respect to the DSMP with Philza likely describing her in detail to him and him recognizing it as her, overall this was beautifully done; good job.
I love watching stuff like this bc even though i didn't ever get to meet techno irl he still ment a lot to me. Its still weird to think that hes been gone for a whole year, it still feels like yesterday that he updated us about the cancer and he said that he would be just fine.

I think it’s so important you depicted techno as not a warmonger with a skull mask but showed a human side, not often shown throughout the animatics I’ve seen, amazing job I was sobbing at the end. 😊

There are so many tributes similar to this one on UA-cam, and yet this one has stood out to me time and time again. It's the emotion, the song, the story that you tell through, for lack of a better phrase, 'simple pictures'. The art is stunning. Breathtaking and moving and somehow alive. Thank you for this.

a beautiful testament to the man we respected, admired, and loved. How he accepted Death and hugged her with little fear, and lived his last weeks among his friends. I miss him every day, but I know he must be proud of us.

I actually never knew technoblade and all, i just see some people talking here and there about him and his content - but when his last goodbye video was uploaded.. I was just crying my eyes out, because no one deserves that end like him

The songs of Oh hellos always remind me of him. When he passed away i couldn't hear those songs again in the same way. Now i can't help but smile at them.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love how to implemented the tiny little details like the apple picking with Wilbur, from the story he told, the braided hair and flowers from passerine, and most of all the arm. You did an amazing job, keep it up, please!!! This made me cry thinking about how happy I am to see people still remembering him, through stuff like this.
I would frequently ponder the meaning that Glowing has, and imagine what I could create alongside the other songs of Boreas, but this here is the best possible art to ever accompany Glowing, this is perfect. I'm crying, I wanted to scroll back and look closer at a lot of frames but I know I'll see more when I watch this again and again, like I do Creature. This is gorgeous and a worthy tribute to a man I've only just been getting to know. I loved the environments and finding both Techno and Phil in them, faithfully together. I could probably find more to say but this about covers it. Amazing job, artist.
Edit, 7 minutes later: got my first rewatch in, saw so much beauty, understood some things, want to figure out more, and even though I knew what was coming I still ended up crying again.
Decided to leave a longer comment here, since Twitter is kinda cramped.
My favourite shot is still the top-view one with Techno on the horse, but this doesn't mean any other second of the video doesn't deserve praise or stopping by to admire it.
Because of the context, I feel like the whole PMV merges the happiest memories with softness and grief. The scenes in which Techno interacts with the others (SBI members) feels so warm, the happiness of those frames really tugs at my heart. Seeing the Goddess of Death appearing on screen was an immediate giveaway as for how it was going to end, and yet it ended beautifully, with such grace...
Another bit that broke me was Philza following him, soaring through the skies in many frames at the beginning. Two inseparable friends, in adventures and adversities.
Loved the character designs, the colors and your style as a whole. It's beautiful, even through teary eyes. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this video, the idea of giving his character closure is very nice.
Love the hint to Wolfy's "Creature" PMV. It was the song that dragged me into all of this, a little bit more than a year ago, and now I stand on this side, admiring art made in commemoration of an amazing person, living with all his fans the happiness, and the grief and, the goofy moments that keep living on through his videos, and the memories of his friends.
