Eco tools sponge is amazing! I hated the RT sponge.

Anna Stella it rips easily . It's not as good as they first came out
They definitely rip easy. Mostly though it just seemed harder to clean than my other sponges and it turns a nasty looking grey color.
The eco tool cleans sooo much better!
I switched from RT to the Ecotools sponges - I love them!! Plus I find they dont mold as quickly in my humid climate. They are also great for cream bronzer & blush.
Are the Ecotools ones squishier and easier to clean? My main issue with the RT one is its so hard to clean, wet and wring out, I have chronic tendinitis in my hands and arthritis so it's very difficult. I don't have this issue with my Beauty Blender but I prefer the shape of the RT.
HannahOfferdahl I think they are slightly less squishy but farrrrrr more durable and easy to clean. It might be because i *think* it absorbs less product than RT. I find it’s also easier to wring out.

i was always amazed at how great your skin looked before you started accutane, i mean no offense by that just that you did your foundation SO WELL, even when it wasn't a good foundation, that i feel that if i wasn't aware or i wasn't looking for it i wouldn't know that you had cystic acne and now that you're on accutane and your skin is clearing up i'm just floored by how good your skin looks. it looks SO good!

I just got the purple L’Oreal sponge and the bottom of it kinda reminds me of the morphe one you liked. It’s very soft I like it so far. Elf has a new sponge that looks exactly like the la girl sponge. I’ve been wondering how they compare? The elf one is $4! Your skin is looking amazing. I just wanted to say thank you for taking us with you on your accutane journey. I think that’s why people love your channel so much because you have always been transparent with your skin struggles.

Also Marshall's has RT sponges a lot. I stocked up on the purple ones because I like the shape better than the orange ones (which is CRAZY, because it's definitely... shaped like something that should never touch your face, but it just feels better)

The Flower Beauty sponge is amazing. It's like putting your foundation on with a marshmallow. So soft and squishy!

The rt sponge has changed. The original was best but they’ve went cheaper n more plastic like n not as dense and soft. I will not buy anymore

Yes i feel that the RT sponge is really hard and dense. It doesnt soften and enlarge when you wet it. That's why i go back to my Beauty Blender
Tis exactly why I cant usually use the RT one, I've got chronic tendinitis in both my of hands and arthritis and I just cant clean and wring out the RT one all the time. Its way too hard and I will not go without cleaning my sponge every time. Tis why I've stuck with BB honestly, I prefer the RT shape though.

I am soooo glad you reviewed the EcoTools sponge bc I been wanting to try other sponges and so far I get either really soft sponges that just rip apart, or extremely hard ones that feel like briks!!! I've been hesitant about the Ecotools one, but now that I know it works, I will give it a try!!!

I purchased the Japonesque Kumadori sponge and I love it. It’s my favorite so far. It doesn’t soak up your foundation and it’s super easy to clean.
I freekiin love the eco tools sponge !!! it's also nice and big and easy to clean(no stains)
I've been using this one for a few months and have really come to like it a lot. I had a hard time finding the RT sponge for a bit and settled on this set. I was surprised how well it worked and wasn't disappointed. I actually just purchased a second one last night and have been reaching for it over my RT sponge.

I love that you did a battle of the sponges, I personally love my Real Techniques sponge but that flat edge on the eco tools sponge has got me intrigued.
I absolutely love that ecotools sponge! It’s the best sponge I’ve tried so far and you’re right, you do totally want to keep using it even when you’re done with foundation because it’s just so soft. I do use it to clean up eye makeup with concealer and it does a great job.
I loooove the flower beauty sponge. It is so freaking squishy which really freaked me out at first but it is absolutely amazing. The shape is not the best for under your eyes but because it is so squishy you can easily squeeze it to fit under there perfectly. You definitely should give it a try!

I have that one but I find that when I wet it I like can’t get all the water out? I squeeze and squeeze and ring it out with a towel but when I go to use it, its just still super wet and doesn't blend my foundation :( it works well when I just lightly spray it though
I love the loreal one and when I went to repurchase it I realized that the RT sponge was a better value for the two pack (basically the same price) and I forgot how much I liked the RT one!

I haven't used real techniques in over a year but the loreal one I saw a few people say that they got a new one and it was completely different and they didn't like it i got a new one and it is slightly different but idk if i think there bc I had that in my mind already I do still use it but open to new sponges

I recently got a L'Oréal pink sponge but it started to feel like it had a slime type residue, even after cleaning it. It just starts to feel slimy. I had to throw it out. The Ulta brand sponge is the closest to the actually beauty blender that I could find. I actually prefer the Ulta brand sponge. The one with the same shape as the Beauty Blender.

That's such a good idea to add a little touch of fit me concealer to the shape tape! The shape tape is great, but very dry so adding a more moisturizing concealer would work great in conjunction with shape tape. Btw, your skin is looking so good Taylor!

My first one lasted through many, many washes. The newer one ripped on its first bath. I reached out to RT customer service --- they put it all on me. Not a good way to keep a customer. Off to find a new sponge -- maybe in the house cleaning aisle!

Could you do a foundation review on the new wet and wild cushion foundation? :) The cushion can be popped out of it's case. Maybe they will do a refill or would create new cases with different designs.

I love the eco tools sponge. I purchased it when I decided to go cruelty-free with my makeup and I find that it works amazing, and I have repurchased several times.
Omg i love my ecotools I have the ripping easy with washing thing too but after my first two sponges I learned to handle it and no more rips!!! It's so funny she said I wish I had another face because I love the way mine feels to. I have anxiety and sometimes I put on moisturizer with mine just to calm me down... I use the real techniques cleansing sponge though for washing my face and that is the best too!!

*Haven't watched the video yet but did you notice the orange RT sponge is NOT the same?!?! They changed it and everyone else who has used the new one said they didn't like it. I could tell when I compared an old one with a new one side by side, the new one is not as bouncy, is a different shade of orange, & now has an "RT" logo imprinted in the side. Please let me know your thoughts!!! ... Also the L'Oréal one was changed too!! (Casey Holmes talked about this in a couple videos!!)*

Andrew R. I used the RT ones for about a year and then i tried the gray eco tools one and it was like apply my foundation with air! I’ve used the green and it’s soft but not as soft as the gray 😊 I have really light skin so using something too dense makes me turn red and then my makeup looks weird at first

The EcoTools sponge is my favorite. I like the squishy feel, the amount of water it retains and the way it comes clean. I have one that has lasted a couple of months and still looks new. It is holding up well.

For everyone confused... It's pronounced La Croy... For numerous reasons. It's a Midwest based company. We have the Saint Croix River. Pronounced Croy. It's based in La Crosse Wisconsin. Hence the La part. Their website literally says it's pronounced La-Croy because it rhymes with enjoy.

i bought the eco tools sponge at walmart right after this video. 10/10 i love it better than the real techniques ones. once its wet, it gets huge. it stays damp while my real techniques sponge starts drying out after 5 minutes and its tinier. Eco tools is worth it, i love it so much. thank you for this review
I recently bought a ecotools sponge and i love it!!! It lays down and soaks up the perfect amount, however it falls apart way sooner then the rt one. It makes since tho since it's plant based. But I love it, oh and I wash my sponge after ever use. I hope u have a good holiday!!!

I had to come back & give you serious props. Because as simple as it seems sponges are very different and I love and appreciate how you showed them dry , wet , squeezing them and applying foundation. I agree that the eco tools gave u way more Coverage. Mind blowing I never knew that between those 2 nicer quality drugstore sponges both damp would give different Coverage. Though I realize the RT sponge kind of dries very fast as I'm move to concealer I feel as though it's like half dry. Weird

I love the Eco tools sponge. I use it everyday dry actually since I only use a bit of concealer for my everyday work look and it works great. But if I'm going all out, I use the long flat side and round end for foundation, short flat side for concealer, and then the round bottom again for cream bronzer and blush (I have dry skin). It doesn't last the best if washed often, it tends to tear, and that's actually why I use it dry a lot but I think it's so worth it. I have the RT sponge but I really don't like it very much, it's too hard for me! Also, there's $1 off coupon on every package that you buy so that's awesome!!
The big one can be tricky when it’s time to clean. Use a solid cleanser! And that little is AMAZING.

the French pronunciation is la kwah, it means "the cross" . the company changed it so it would be easier to say, but if you speak any french you know how is supposed to be said and it's difficult to say it any other way.
I mean... If the company changed the name to be pronounced La Croy... Then it's La Croy 😂 French or no french.
She actually recently talked about how to pronounce La Croix in one of her videos.

The eco tools sponge is my absolute favorite! I have the real techniques, flower beauty, & beauty blender. The eco tools sponge soaks up the least amount of foundation compared to the rest of them! I love using it for my concealer. It blends out beautifully. I wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money on the others because I keep using the eco tools one. & I’ve repurchased.
