I love the realness of Loach's early work, but why does is anybody who isn't on the bottom rung portrayed as a nazi? it's really odd.
I mean the villains we see in Land and Freedom (1995) aren’t Nazis. Quite the opposite. They’re Stalinists.
@@Anti-CornLawLeague yeah, I didn't mean it literally. Land and Freedom was good anyway. It's his more recent work with Laverty that I think is too simplistic in its binary approach to problems.
Sorry, We Missed You (2019) is probably his most depressing film.
