Great video. I ordered one off of Amazon on 19 Sept and entered your code. Amazon accepted it and gave me the additional 10% discount. I received mine today. One video I watched showed a poor AC regulated output. I tested mine with a 985 watts constant load. It started at 110 volts AC and only dropped to 109 volts AC. That's a one volt drop in voltage. Mine works great and a one volt drop is expected. So no complaints on my end. Amily.....you sold me on ordering one and I am a happy camper. Even my wife gave me a smile when it came and I told her what it was going to used for. Thanks,, Barry G. Kery
Nice 2 see you back M! Since you guys seem to be in good terms (which I highly admire and respect) I think you should keep the same channel name (as long as it doesn't make your life difficult); I mean it will still be Emily and Clark's Adventure(s) and we are all used to see mixed content from both of you; so for us it will be business as usual :) Anyways, just food 4 thought.. all the best to both of u!
Thanks for everything Emily and Clark. You've provided us with some great education and entertainment. Glad to hear you're both still friends and I hope you're able to navigate your own lives well into the future.
Calling it a battery box, I thought you review and entirely different type of product. These things are industry wide known as solar generators or even power banks. I’m not familiar with that particular brand, but they all work similarly. Just depends on your preference in features, capacity, price and reliability.
Solar generator is a misnomer. Nothing about these boxes generate anything. They store and deliver inverted power. Battery box is about the best descriptor for these things that I have heard. It's a box with a battery, charger, inverter and connection points.
@@davidalbright7335 go to google and type in battery box for search. Then search for solar generator. It doesn’t matter how accurate the name is, it’s the universal industry name for this category.
@@TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk Yeah and the masses call QHD resolution "2k". IU like "Battery box" a hell of a lot better than "solar generator". I was calling them battery banks but battery box is what I may start using. They should never have the word "generator" attached to them without an integrated solar panel.
@@ohhwelltestchannel8550 I get your sentiment t, but here is the thing…. Google it Seriously. If you google battery box, you get a box to put a battery into, like on a camping trailer. If you google solar generator, you get the device displayed in the video. It’s irrelevant how you feel about it because when you are looking for it, you will use the name that has become standard.
Sailors like to be able to service our equipment. A battery, inverter and small solar controller is not only cheaper, but serviceable. These are bad for the environment. One circuit fault and most likely the whole unit is discarded.
Yep. I agree but for some people and in some circumstances it's the right idea. Its advantage is portability. An installed unit can't go from camper to small boat to cottage. -C
Prepackaged "systematized" batt/inverter/charger appliances cover a vastly wider audience than DIY'ers. No doubt more than a few of these types of batteries will fritz out due to internal failure (could be something simple like a connection or complex- an IC chip) & will get tossed. But for places with unreliable power, as Emily described locally, they are fairly ideal.
> One circuit fault and most likely the whole unit is discarded. Not really, the electronics are still pretty simple, and modular. Depending on the brand you can probably figure out what is wrong and fix it... There is a video of a guy replacing a capacitor on a Jackery version of this product but smaller.
Emily! I'm new to your and Clark's channel. I'm an aspiring ocean crosser and you guys have been invaluable in my preparation. I bought a proper blue-water sloop a couple of years ago to do it in. I'm 65 and into my 41st year of marriage to a beautiful little lady not unlike yourself and she's fully behind my insanity, but she won't be on the boat for the "boring" stuff. All the best to the both of you and the road ahead wherever that may lead.
Brilliant coffee is a brilliant idea anytime. I was waiting for the full monty destructive teardown, complete with smoke like the Elefast battery, but the 47 simultaneous kitchen appliances approach gets the basic job done. Thx, & best of good luck with the shop & etc. ahead

😊Great start Emily. Keep it up and ignore the nay-sayers. I like that the title started with your name so we know at a glance who is doing the video.😊

Can we get back to sailing content or Clarks DYIs. 😢
Soon.

Thank you for the review. Hoping for more sailing or adventure content. My best.
Thanks for the review Emily. Not in the market right now but you never know. Keep the good stuff coming and say Hi to Amy.
