Sin is conceived in the heart, so if there is no evil motive in your heart, and it is done for you or your spouse, or a family photo, or to look nice for someone's wedding photos, then I do not see the harm. If you wearing makeup was causing another to sin or you did it with a sinful motive in your heart (to commit adultery, fornication, or otherwise with intent to seduce someone), totally different story. If you are referring to the book of Enoch which most likely isn't of God in the first place...I'm pretty sure that the book also says fallen angels taught men how to make weapons for war and men of God were led by God in war so what's your point.
@@foreverdreaming8999 both the angels teaching women to seduce men with makeup and jewelry and the forging weapons of war was both wrong. Not meant for mortals to know. Hence the abundance of moral evil on both examples today, as in the days of Noah, back then at that time. Book of Enoch? It is included with the dead seas scrolls. Dated before Christ, so it's established. Its, of scripture. You can count on it as truth This reply. His point is. Knowing this, why even mess with makeup? What is it's allure to not count the cost. Just don't wear it. Literally that easy.
Like I dont understand people logic at times I am a man and I also wear makeup but we are also humans that's why we ought to maintain our skin because it develops bumps ,pimples and your skin will just look disgusting that's why modesty is in line with enlightenment because when you use a foundation or concealer it helps to blend to your skin tone and that is modesty, looking modest isnt about brining attention to yourself its about using all your makeup, dress, jewlery to make yourself look nice but not to make yourself look like an ICON in society you can draw a line on modesty the guideline that God gave us that we shouldn't dress in a way to please our freshly desire of men or with the inteiton to seduce men , if a lady wears her hair short, long or whatver length and with makeup the aim is that she should look modest and you can't draw a line that because u see someone appearance that they will go go to hell because they expose or show parts of their body that are meant to be covered because it might draw the attention from men, every society have what their level of modesty is, that is why God dowsnt send people to hell for their outward appearance but is based on their intention to do things like are you wearing makeup to make all the guys chase you or to look sexy or like an icon when you eneter a church thats when we as Christians ought to speak to her and tell the lady that she doesn't need to draw ntion to herself that she can still look beautiful in a modest clothing is not about saying that if they add a lil bit of concealer to cover their pimple of tribal marks that it will send them to hell with immediate effect, preach on modest dressing and in now society women can look modest even of they wear makeup, jewelry, wigs, hair extension or anything they like but must wear it as to not be of the intention to seduce men or make them expose certain parts of their body to please them, I've seen how makeup looks on older women even if they wear hair extension and makeup and they look beautiful and dress in a way that doesn't make me get distracted by their body ,they look like themself in a modest apparel.
The art of makeup, perfumes, sensuality etc... Were taught to women by fallen angels. That's the origin of makeup. I'm not religious but I've read the Bible.
I have a guilty feeling when wear a pomade like I did something wrong like too focus to my appearence and make me guilty, and make a promise to God to never buy that thing again but later I found maybe I was wrong because, I just want look clean to others because my hair like coarse hair type and this pomade help my appearence to look better, and fresh.. is it wrong to take my promises again because I dont really really sure or understand at that time?
He's a nice guy but it would be nice to have more Bible scriptures and seeing what the word of God says, it was basically just a philosophical conversation
Fact, makeup has no hygienic purpose. Fact, grooming is hygenic. Fact, makeup was designed for attracting others. Fact, a married woman doesn't just care about the opinion of her husband, if she wears makeup publicly, because she is attempting to display sexual appeal to others. Given the former fact, she is unfaithful to her husband and therefore to God. Fact, this guy is nice but he has too many opinions with little to know facts. Fact, to conceal is to lie and to lie is a sin. The devil is God of lies. Lies are accompanied by pain and pain is misery but misery loves company.
But yes i agree, make up is a act of unfaithfulness to God and our husbands, i am unmarried and i dont wear make up if my husband asked me to wear it indoors i would ask him and I to pray to God as even then i dont think it is right. It is all sex appeal and to lead us to sin.
I like wearing makeup cuz Its fun for me and i like how i look, for me, me...but obsessively thinking about my own looks would distract me from what's important. I don't obsess just enjoy it
@Taylor Hattley and I've prayed and prayed..God never rebuked me about makeup .so no... I get corrected by God when I dress immodest (unintentionally) but this makeup thing..Never. Everything is different for everyone.
Wear make up to not be repulsive. Sin for some women not to wear makeup. Priceless statement brother. Though, men? No there's some ugly as sin and repulsive clan...what about them? Stay clean and dressed up,and, not made up. No attractive masks for others pleasure to look at. Put all that effort in your spirit to share. Be the way God made you " Beauty is fading, flattering is vain and deceiving... Yet a quiet gentle spirit in Christ beauty is always attractive in a women of God."
Did you just equate brushing teeth to wearing makeup. We brush our teeth to keep them from rotting and our mouth smelling fresh. Your comparison makes makeup a solution to a horrific situation. That's some thought right there.
Ikr. What is he talking about? Makeup is specifically a vanity thing. Oral health is related to other diseases within the body. Taking care of your teeth is necessary to help promote overall health.
Here is some scripture, in case you are having trouble finding it: Jeremiah 4:30 And you, O desolate one, what do you mean that you dress in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, that you enlarge your eyes with paint? In vain you beautify yourself. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life. 1 Peter 3:3-4 Do not let your adorning be external-the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. (Is makeup not external?) 2 Kings 9:30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. And she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out of the window. Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Revelation 2:20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. There is a difference between proper hygiene and vanity. Implying otherwise or comparing the two is just poor education.
in peace i say this, yes we should have god as the center of our lives, no question about that. however, make up cannot change that, if you dont let it. imagine, if someones heart is rotten does makeup change it, no! so, can makeup change a person from good to bad no. See, everything god told us not to do, we shouldnt, like obssesing after makeup, adultery, stealing, lying and others. but thos he say we cant wear makeup, no, he say we cant obssess over it! im assuming you wear clothes, correct me if im wrong. when you go to a store dont you pick the one that maks you look the best, even though thats not your skin. so thats disguising you body to be beutiful, and makeup is disguising your face to look beautiful. See, if we were to apply this logic, we should not bathe bc thats not how we were born, we should not do our hair cause were changing how we look, we should not brush our teeth cause it wont be as yellow as it was before. And brother(or sister), can you find me a quote in the bible that specifically say Makeup is FORBIDDEN? Not it shouldnt be obssessed over, no, that it is forbidden! please find that and reply. Also understand, the bible tells us what not to do, not what we can do. the bible doesnt tell you to breath but youre breathing, it doesnt tell you to wear clothes but you wear clothes, bible doesnt say translate the bible and share with other but people did. Yes, the bible tells of jezebel wearing makeup, but can we confirm that no other christian of that day wore it. what is on the inside will show on the outside, it always does. May GOD BLESS YOU!
Dont let people ruin anything for you. The Bible is real. Despite of what any human says. You don’t want to be in line on Judgement Day and be like “oh.... the Bible was real....” God loves you. He will accept you right now and you can ask Him to show you how real He is.
@@jesuslovesyou2946 I would love to be in line on judgment day and ask that question. I think I deserve an answer. Bro the origins of make up say it all . It was taught by fallen Angel's according to The book of enoch . Do a bit more research before you simply air your personal opinion . That is just advice .

If putting on makeup is insecurity....then putting on filters is also insecurity(your youtube profile pic)..Don't get me wrong ..I'm not saying you're insecure. I'm comparing makeup with filter according to your opinion. Idolizing makeup is obviously wrong...but just applying it is not wrong. No bible scripture says that.
And sean leonard ...your wife is not an object. The first line of your comment makes it sound like you are treating her like an object. I don't know what your intention is and what you meant by that line, but it obviously doesn't sound "Christ-like" The bible orders men to love their wives with a christ like love. And if Jesus christ would have married a woman, (he didn't..im just giving an example) he would NEVER say ,"My wife is to please me indoors with her beauty". You should read your bible more often.
@Canada Soccer sorry brother..but I'm not obsessed with makeup. Nor is makeup my idol. It doesn't affect my spiritual life. So..yeah. The below passages are taken from biblereasons.com. Wearing makeup is a gray area in Scripture. We should love and respect others who refrain from wearing makeup. If you do desire to wear makeup you must examine yourself. Do you have a doubting heart? Would it be going against your conviction? Wearing makeup should be done by faith and a clear conscience. Romans 14:23 “But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.” Although it might sound cliché, God is more concerned by your inner beauty. He wants you to be confident in Him. He wants you to know how beautiful you are in Christ. Christian women are free to wear makeup. However, it should be done in modesty, with pure motives, and in moderation. Always remember that God cares about your inner beauty and that should be your main concern. Our confidence should not be rooted in jewelry, hairstyles, or our clothing. These things fade. Our confidence should be rooted in Christ. It is always better to focus on developing godly character.

My heart goes out to you because I used to have terrible cystic acne. Fortunately for me, mine cleared up around my mid 30s but I still have some scarring from it. I don't wear makeup all the time, but I do on special occasions and once in a while to look nice for my husband.
I am scared of long painted nails, I see prophetess wearing those nails; I don't know I don't feel good abt long nails and y they wear it I don't understand
I wear a tinted moisturiser and a little amount of brown eye pencil. It takes me 1 minute to apply and I am done. I hate lipstick and lipgloss. And I never put colour in my hair I was born with light gold hair and I love my gold eyebrows. I think a smile is all I need. 😊
Pastor Chuck from Calvary Chapel once said regarding wearing makeup: "If the barn needs painting, then paint it".
What about makeup artists? I want to become one and that's one of my biggest tallents, doesn't God want me to use my talent and help women feel good on their wedding day or some special occasion?
That's something I wanna know too because I really love wearing and doing makeup as a form of artistic expression. And I also wanna become a makeup artist someday, but I still keep questioning if it's dishonoring to God
Same except I’m a hairstylist! I do wigs and weaves. I need answers. I know i remember God telling me i should be a hair stylist but then someone said even blow drying your hair is a sin. I need answers before i go to cosmetology school for hair nails and makeup
1 Timothy 2:9
@Lara Gravenor hey my love. Quick update: I’m actually not a hairstylist no more and have accepted it is a sin. I am recovering from hair loss. I just wear a turban. I suggest doing the same. So your eternal life shall be saved. God bless.

This is not Christian because you are only stating your personal opinion; you are not considering Timothy 2:9 or 1st Peter 3:3.
It was taught to paint the eyes by a fallen angel, shouldn't that be enough for you not want to do it?
If you are referring to the book of Enoch which most likely isn't of God in the first place...I'm pretty sure that the book also says fallen angels taught men how to make weapons for war and men of God were led by God in war so what's your point.
no
@@foreverdreaming8999 both the angels teaching women to seduce men with makeup and jewelry and the forging weapons of war was both wrong. Not meant for mortals to know. Hence the abundance of moral evil on both examples today, as in the days of Noah, back then at that time.
Book of Enoch? It is included with the dead seas scrolls. Dated before Christ, so it's established. Its, of scripture. You can count on it as truth
This reply.

😅,,, I do loved wearing make up but just very light to brighten little bit of my face...
Just be sure that your heart is not sinning against God. Get right with Jesus, seek the kingdom of God first.
Your attempting to blend Gods will with the hearts of man . When only one is correct.

I turn down breath mints because the majority of them contain aspartame, which triggers my migraines. I do practice good dental hygiene.
I dont chew gum breath mints are ok for me buts gum i dislike.
He's a nice guy but it would be nice to have more Bible scriptures and seeing what the word of God says, it was basically just a philosophical conversation
He's a bit mealy mouthed, as in he's afraid to say anything to offend people, which is cowardly of him.
Lies are accompanied by pain and pain is misery but misery loves company.
god of lies and God says when he was speaking through Jesus Father of lies.
God is our cretor
god is the devil (god of this world)
But yes i agree, make up is a act of unfaithfulness to God and our husbands, i am unmarried and i dont wear make up if my husband asked me to wear it indoors i would ask him and I to pray to God as even then i dont think it is right. It is all sex appeal and to lead us to sin.
I like wearing makeup cuz Its fun for me and i like how i look, for me, me...but obsessively thinking about my own looks would distract me from what's important. I don't obsess just enjoy it
What if you have bags and look sick without makeup wouldn't make up then be practical and not for attracting anyone?
@Taylor Hattley and I've prayed and prayed..God never rebuked me about makeup .so no...
I get corrected by God when I dress immodest (unintentionally) but this makeup thing..Never.
Everything is different for everyone.
wisely spoken.
Be the way God made you
" Beauty is fading, flattering is vain and deceiving... Yet a quiet gentle spirit in Christ beauty is always attractive in a women of God."
No. Make up usage is wrong. Period
Excellent points. This carries way beyond the makeup.
This is awesome so true
Did you just equate brushing teeth to wearing makeup. We brush our teeth to keep them from rotting and our mouth smelling fresh. Your comparison makes makeup a solution to a horrific situation. That's some thought right there.
Ikr. What is he talking about? Makeup is specifically a vanity thing. Oral health is related to other diseases within the body. Taking care of your teeth is necessary to help promote overall health.
Here is some scripture, in case you are having trouble finding it:
Jeremiah 4:30 And you, O desolate one, what do you mean that you dress in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, that you enlarge your eyes with paint? In vain you beautify yourself. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life.
1 Peter 3:3-4 Do not let your adorning be external-the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. (Is makeup not external?)
2 Kings 9:30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it.
My lovers don't despise me, they keep calling me at midnight to on come over.
The fact that people have to debate this affirms why I don't believe in the Bible or it's so called God. Among other things of course.
Dont let people ruin anything for you.
The Bible is real. Despite of what any human says.
You don’t want to be in line on Judgement Day and be like “oh.... the Bible was real....”
God loves you. He will accept you right now and you can ask Him to show you how real He is.
@@jesuslovesyou2946
I would love to be in line on judgment day and ask that question. I think I deserve an answer. If God wants me to know he is real why should I (or anybody else for that matter) have to wait until after death to get an answer? I should just blindly go through life believing something with no proof? And when I die will be condemn to an eternity in hell because I didn't believe. That's sick to me.
@@shericebsperspective you have sinned and I have sinned. We all have fallen short. God already knew you and I weren’t going to be perfect. Which is why He became man and had to die for our sins. He didn’t want you to take the punishment. He took it on himself. All you have to do is accept it. But if you deny that He took your punishment, you are telling Him that you would rather take it on yourself. He doesn’t want that but you have free will.
I would love to talk more to you and have a peaceful conversation with you and we can ask each other questions.
I have a really really strong feeling God is highlighting you to me. I feel that He wants to use you as an intercessor for your family. Maybe even a deliverance minister.

Bro the origins of make up say it all . It was taught by fallen Angel's according to The book of enoch . Do a bit more research before you simply air your personal opinion . That is just advice .
The book of enoch is not scripture.!
Satan was also the author of music, does that make music inherently bad? Or is it the type of music and the intent that one has when listening to it? If you make something an idol, it is sin.

Book of Enoch is literal trash but since you wanna follow it doesn't it also say that fallen angels taught men how to make weapons for war and war with one another? God led his people in many battles so according to your logic you might as well day that God promotes sin.
Galatians 3:1-10, Galatians 1:4-12

It’s not vain unless you make it so

@Canada Soccer sorry brother..but I'm not obsessed with makeup. Nor is makeup my idol.
It doesn't affect my spiritual life. So..yeah.
The below passages are taken from biblereasons.com.
Wearing makeup is a gray area in Scripture. We should love and respect others who refrain from wearing makeup. If you do desire to wear makeup you must examine yourself. Do you have a doubting heart? Would it be going against your conviction? Wearing makeup should be done by faith and a clear conscience.
Romans 14:23 “But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.”
Although it might sound cliché, God is more concerned by your inner beauty.
It all depends on how much is worn.
It depends on how you feel when u wear them
