Right! he literally had to learn how to sing and dance just for this movie. On top of that all, multiple shots for each oompa loompa. He goes down in history 🙌🏼
What an amazing set! Tim Burton’s imagination is magical and the hands that created that reality are truly blessed. All of the actors were perfect and Depp’s portrayal of the socially awkward, passive aggressive and thoroughly weird Wonka is superb.
What an amazing experience for them kids to literally be put into a fantasy world. No CGI it was all created by professionals and it shows. No expense spared. Bet they had an amazing experience while making it and will remember this time until they are old and grey themselves lol. It looked really fun while making it.
Wow, so cool that the sets were real and so were the squirrels 🐿 Thank you 🙏This has always been one of my favorite movies that I watch over and over. Not every day of course 😁
Okay, I have to admit, I really disliked only one bit in this movie and that was the Oompa Loompas, but after watching this actor bust his a$$ working so hard, I will really have to take another look at this movie with my Karen lenses off. He really was outstanding in his efforts. Everyone really working hard. We really lose sight of the efforts put in. I am reflecting.
Man. It's so wild seeing people do VFX on such old computers. To think that those must've been brand-spankin' new at the time, or at most a few years old. Man, how times have changed and yet stayed the same.
If it were a Disney movie, it's entirely possible that some of the sets would be on display as the movie's making its run at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. Sadly, as is with ALL movies, these sets needed to be demolished to make way for the NEXT project. Come on, Warners; where's YOUR El Capitan?
I saw this movie in theaters at 13. I had seen the original one from 1971 in 3rd grade during music class. The original will awlays be better to me but this one is kinda cool too.
@@watermelonqueen1755you probably read something about the original because the 1971 version used real chocolate this one just used their own mixture that looks like chocolate
What did they use for the chocolate river? Even if it is water most of the time it looks so viscous. Do you know if they used chocolate at all for big scenes like the temple thats melting?
Comments are turned off on your 4K trailer, so I thought I'd ask here. Where did you get a 4k version of that trailer? I thought it might have been upscaled but watching it, it seems it might be legit. I've been waiting for a UHD Blu Ray release of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, which I'm guessing they're prepping for next year to go alongside Wonka's release in theaters.
For some reason comments were disabled on the 4K video but I turned them on now. I was never able to find an HD version of the trailer but on the Apple TV app, when you go to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and preview the trailer, it was the highest resolution I had ever seen. I don't know if it was 4K or not but I screen recorded the trailer in 4K. I also truly hope they release the movie in 4K UHD. My thinking has always been that they would release it this year or next year to tie in with the Wonka prequel (and then maybe they can even do a 3-film 4K set). It's one of the most popular movies to not yet get a 4K release, so I'm hopeful a release is imminent!
@@coatsorkeys Ahhh ! Yes, indeed, Apple TV, when you have sufficient bandwidth, is some of the highest quality you can find out there. Thanks for the answer ;-)

Such an awful movie, but you gotta respect all the visuals and effort that was put in to film it!! If we could have the 1971 film but with the 2005 sets, that would be amazing...
The one guy playing the oompa loompas had to work hard
Praise Deep Roy.
why can't you spell oompa loompas right?
Right! he literally had to learn how to sing and dance just for this movie. On top of that all, multiple shots for each oompa loompa. He goes down in history 🙌🏼
@@wonkvii7008 thank you dear
I don't know if I would call that work but he definitely had to move his arms more
The Oompa Loompa actor is literally a hero

Well, they used CGI for some takes and shots, but for minimum use, otherwise everything would look too rubbery and green screened.

The kids are such wonderful actors. 👏great performance!
They taught the actual squirrels??????? That’s amazing
Yeah , they used real , robotics and CGI squirrels combined 😆 nowadays everything will be just giant green screen and lots of CGI magic .
deep roy is that guy in the project group that do all the work, so the whole group get the A+ grade ❤️😂

This is one of My favorite movies Thank you Tim Burton
I'm pretty sure Deep Roy did more work in this movie than any single other person including Tim Burton! Dude played like 10000 characters! 😆
thanks for sharing this awesome material
Deep Roy put a whole lot of work into his role, hats off to him.

I always like to see the movie first then look up how it was made, you could never do that 70 year ago, great movie also.
