Beautiful colors in those forests. Truck looks great. I've got an '06 Yukon XL but I love that old school look.

Bench seat of an 86 Chevrolet. I did many miles with my dad in just such a place. He had an 86 C20 pickup that he used for work and everything else. He bought it brand new in 86 and put over 450k miles on it when he traded it in in 1993. Yep 70k/yr!!! First vehicle I ever "drove" around in a field with him. Squarebodies have been in the blood ever since. He had some before the 86 but the 86 is what I remember most. You're so fortunate that you and your dad get to share these adventures. Unfortunately we lost my dad in 2018. Cherish every moment you spend with yours. I did with mine. You'll never be able to make up for lost time. So don't waste any of it. :)
Love the overland suburbans that you build. I just picked up an 86 GMC k20 4-spd suburban in hopes of doing a mild overland build on it. It's kindof a pile currently but is complete and I didn't pay much for it. But I just had to have it because it was a manual. Going to be watching your channel for ideas. I just saw the big green build and am inspired.

Thanks for doing these videos! Last year I got a 89 3/4 4x4 that I plan to use for family road trips, snow runs, camping, exploring and mild wheeling. Your video gives me a little inspiration to get moving on mine. Kids not getting any younger you know? This video shows exactly the type of things my family will be doing in mine.
My burb is a 1/2 ton body on a 3/4 ton frame and axles that a previous owner swapped. (3/4 and 1/2 ton frames are different) Tbi 350, 700r4, np241. It came with 6" lift springs all around and almost new 37" Humvee Tires.
Plans include dropping to a 4" lift and swapping to a 35" tire. I like the 37's but I know going with 35's will make everything happier. Engine, tranny, gears, brakes replacement cost, and the loudest problem of them all a 5 foot spousal unit. She has a hard time getting into my stock height Ford highboy on 37's. And besides the usual road trip/exploration equipment I'd have I'd like to set it up for snow trips so I need to figure out a way to keep it toasty while playing in the snow and going on cold weather road trips. Anyone have any pointers on setting up for the cold?

Thank you for the video. I enjoyed it. I Bought an 89 GMC V2500 a few months ago and I'm working on similar stuff. I'm looking forward to a 4" ( not sure what type yet) and 34 or 35". I have barn doors as well. 350 CI with a 3 spd TH-400.

I put the biggest Monroe Gabriel gas shocks on as possible. It's a 2 wheel drive so have to be on solid ground. Work in progress original owner since 1998. Will never get rid of it.

Your take on a 2 wheel drive. I am making a 1992 GMC 2500 to pull a trailer. I also need to live in it on weekends as well . I am on the gun show circuit selling custom knives in Texas. No plans to off road it this would be a daily driver hotrod to gain attention for my store.

You can do a lot with 2 wheel drive but I always suggest going with a 4x4 suburban. The minimal added cost is worth it.

The intro music is popular with UA-camrs. Heard it on a couple other channels.

You’re going to motor by Railroad Ridge? Seems like the perfect place to prove your vehicle.

How do you like the KYB'S as opposed to Bilsteins? Do they make them for a three inch lift? I have an 87 V20 4x4 Burb. Love the channel al all Suburbans!

We like the KYB's a lot for the 91 and older rigs. I think the Bilstein 5100 has a shock for a 3 in and maybe the KYB Monomax.
