    I think many people here in the states hope this is an opportunity to get a new KTM at a deeply discounted price more than they’re concerned about the brand going away..

      Exactly! Can't wait to get back to pick up a 25 XC300 it's about 2k cheaper then it was

      Here in Australia the KTM has always been a bad bike brand like they just wanted to be like Honda and Yamaha but never came close they always brake 🤦 now KTM is going down noone will want a KTM and you will probably get laughed at if you ride one 😂😂

      @@zackiaryruddick701 Another dumb story from a hater. Go buy a 2 stroke from Honda and see what you get. I bet you piss your panties just being near any motorcycle.

    I get sticker shock every time I come back from Europe. Especially when it comes to food… our average food is so bad compared to practically anywhere in Europe. You can literally get better coffee and pastries at a truck stop in France or Germany than a coffee shop in the US.
    I find that people in Europe live simpler and with less stuff. Their housing, food and healthcare costs are much lower, so they can get by on much lower salaries. And people focus on a single hobby… so someone into bikes might have one motorcycle, not a half dozen like we all do in the US.

    My personal experience is that the level of service in Europe is much below that of the US and even South America. Employees in Europe usually receive no sales commission and the salaries are low.

      The service are extremely high mainly at Hotels, Restaurants, not so much elsewhere. And the salary are really low probably that's why people are not as nice as they are in US.

      @@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv I dunno. Motorcycle shops do not pay much around here, in nor cal.
      If you cant afford a good sales person, guess what? Sales suffer. I go in and I end up knowing more about a bike than the sales guy does. Most dealers end up having 4 brands trying to survive, they sell EMTB's, they sell chainsaws, side x sides, surrons which are a 5K toy. The money is hard to bring in.

      @@bradsanders6954You said it. The sales people NEED to know everything about the bikes and which bikes to actually SELL to the buyers. Dealers need training on staffing.

    Awesome to see, I work with many Europeans and the culture is so differn't also the salaries, even for the same job as me are often way less, very strange.
    Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy new year! God Bless and enjoy you vacation!

    You can't figure it out? No one is just a KTM dealership. They have Japanese along with triumph along with anyone else then you have to be a certain distance from another dealership to carry the franchise of red white and orange. That's why. This place you were at was nothing but a KTM dealership with them via gusta gas gas and husky.

      Yes I did. I also noticed one thing which is better in US then in EU which is the factory KTMs comes with a cone valve suspension in USA (👌) but the bikes are not set up with it here. Also most of the 2025 bikes have some emission valve system set up on the left side which this guys say one more thing need to be removed before using it...

    Thanks for the look around over there! Our local shop dumped KTM bikes a few months ago. Business wise - KTM was never fair to it's US dealers since they want corporate. That's why!

      Thanks, I thought something was off when I saw this dealer. I just don't understand why they are like this the money is in USA and not in Europe can't believe they cannot come to agreements with the US dealers. If they would do that a long time ago they may not be in this big of a mess now...

    • @casmitherz
      @casmitherz 19 хвилин тому

      @roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv this had to have been a VERY preferred dealer / distributor as well. In the states here they wanted independent dealers ONLY for each brand! Insanity.

  • @bradsanders6954
    @bradsanders6954 6 годин тому

    No dealer here in the US would have gas gas/husqvarna/KTM..............................they're all the same bikes in different colors.
    If I want to try boots on? Good luck. It would have to be the biggest dealer in a very big city.
    KTM is done with MV, as we all know by now.

    I find Europeans to be more concerned with elegance, presentation and culture... Americans, are more about "take the money, give me what I bought and do it fast". As for the business practices of KTM, I have nothing to say except, look where the company is now 🤔.
    There must be some real Baboons running KTM... How does a company, that corners a market, because they make the best product in the world for that market, run itself into complete and massive insolvency???

      Because the boss has a BIG ego & wanted to have Global domination, It didn't work for another Austrian born person i can think of ;) He's ego is that big he didn't read the market before he went in to take over mode.

      But they dont make the best product in the world , they have bought the perception of that and you and millions of others , it has worked . Your perception of the best in the world ! Expensive that Marking , billions . Reality always catches up on poor quality in reality it just does thankfully . Buying a perception is lousy when not backed up with reality, 2nd rate quality parts and electricals since the beginning of the Media saturation . ktm has become worse not better and as i say thankfully because those who put importance on quality proven should be applauded , applauded without having to contract Multi Million dollar marketing packages . Like this Europe toss experience its just a perception once you have constant failures ongoing across millions of customers for 10 years plus now .

      @@motozz8258 You're right and wrong .. KTM produced purpose built motorcycles and kept off-road riding and racing alive. The machines were so capable they brought forth the sport of "hard enduro", along with its offshoots. KTM instead of capitalizing on this, took the wrong path due to plain stupid management and overextension, digging themselves into a massive hole.

    This is what 3 billion in debt looks like though ? I say to ktmhuskagas bike people be careful what you wish for , as they say. Manufacture a good product and forget the luxury experience. Luxury and no R and D on reliability dont match up long term. Internet wishes and realities are not the same for expectation . Live in a world of 3 billion debt , what do you think that experience costs nothing ?

      I still cant figure out, why so many cheer KTM going away? What is the point?
      Its just dumb human nature loving seeing someone suffer? KTM is built on enthusiasm and racing, so why hate em cause they made mistakes?
      Harley is 7 billion in debt, I dont see anybody bashing them like they bash KTM.
