    About Modellers Workbench:
Run by me - Scott. Aimed primarily at plastic scale modelling, but I also do model with other materials. I do have a bit of a passion for Large Scale Planes in 1/32 but I also model Armour and Vehicles and well whatever else I feel like. I am also in the process of building an n scale model railroad layout so I enjoy modelling scenery and dioramas.
Expect to see Tamiya, Airfix, Trumpeter, Academy, HobbyBoss Walters and other scale plastic model kits. Build videos along with some tips and tricks I have picked up.
I have been modelling on and off for decades now, but got back into it seriously during lockdown.
Be patient with my editing and youTube skills - I am a learner :)
If you have any comments or questions I would love to hear from you!
    Scott

Thanks! It was a nice little combo and from memory the price was pretty good.

I like the old Hasegawa 72nd scale kits. I usually scratch build a little extra detail in the cockpit interiors but I actually enjoy that part the most!

The old Hasegawa kits are good value, probably one of the best for scratch building since they provide a good base to work with. Thanks again!

hi, the undercarriage arrangement was because they wanted the wings as slim as possible, they achieved this by putting the retracting gear inboard like the spitfire, compare the wing thickness for example to a hurricane

That makes a lot of sense. I know the Spitfire undercarriage is not that much better. Thanks!

The camouflage pattern is called the " Splinter Pattern, it is the same as the Wehrmacht !
    The Bf 109 E started manufacturing around 1938 !
