Also forget that there are most likely many people on that plane who are allergic to cats. It's not just the person sitting next to you who is affected
I flew my three disabled cats from China to the US. I took three different trips so each one could ride in the cabin with me. Each trip was about 32 hours one way. I didn't give them any drugs though, just used feliway spray. You're not supposed to directly spray it on them or put them in with it for 10 minutes after you spray though, so I sprayed a small cloth and then after 10 minutes would put it back in the carrier. Most cats don't meow loud enough to be heard over the sound of the plane engine. My deaf cat does, but she also responds really well to the feliway, so she kept quiet most of the time. I didn't take them out of their carriers during the flight; the most I did was stick my hand in the carrier with them - and even then the flight attendants would sometimes tell me to close it.
@@PlagueDoctorCosplayer Opening a zipper on a soft carrier just enough to fit my hand inside isn't there same as opening a door. Gabapentin was part of our “hospice” drug plan for my elderly dog. If we didn’t get him outside to potty soon enough after taking pills, he’d be weaving around like a drunken sailor! It’s an amazing medicine but can be a silly time
I guess it's the most sensible one to prescribe. I can't speak for when it comes to animals but in terms of a sleep-aid or sedative it's probably middling. Promethazine or pregab are certainly stronger so i can see gab working well for floofs
I think the secret sauce here is WHY gabapentin works on nerve pain. It actually slows the nerve signals down! It has much the same effect on pets - slowing them down. My big orange cat boy (15 lbs of part Maine Coon) had a rough start, and has a lot of PTSD because of it. He needs the gabapentin to cope with the stress of the vet! I took gabapentin for years for nerve pain in my back, and I learned a lot about the science behind it. It's a very cool drug - even made my tinnitus quieter! Unfortunately, it made my brain work slower, too, so I eventually had to taper off of it. But I'm still glad I found out how it works!
Gabapentin did the same thing to me, especially mixed with those lil plane cocktails and the high-pressure happy and talkative and then out like a light with slight drooling😂

Its not the worst thing you can do, but you need to be aware of the risks of it if you're going to.
Also forget that there are most likely many people on that plane who are allergic to cats. It's not just the person sitting next to you who is affected
If I was on a flight when a cat was meowing the entire flight I’d be so happy 😂😂😂
This is now on my bucket list
Three separate flights just so your cats could ride with you in the cabin? That's amazing. You are clearly an amazing pet owner. ❤
Yh it's not good to open the door, due to sudden turbulence the cat can easily die
@@PlagueDoctorCosplayer Opening a zipper on a soft carrier just enough to fit my hand inside isn't there same as opening a door. And Korean Airlines has a rule that any pets who make too much noise have to be stored in the overhead compartment - now that's what can actually kill animals. The Korean Air leg of my trip was only 2.5 hours but they were nerve-racking. Thankfully my cats couldn't be heard over the sound of the engines.
@@AdeleiTeillana the overhead compartment?? fuuuck no. that’s insane. you’re awesome for sticking through six long flights to ensure your kitties were with you!! ❤
Naaaahhhhhhhh i would never do that for just an animal..... invite friends next time and make it one trip.
This is how my cat is, even without drugs. He's literally like a dog. Always wants affection and head butts 🐈
aw how cute and adorable
I just love to see you having a strong connection withuno ❤❤❤
You don't even know how much I appreciate such responsible pet owners, it's so nice to watch ♥️
Who take their cat out on a plane??
@@nineteenfortyeight6762 Someone who wants to take their cat to another place or cannot leave it at home when flying abroad, there are various reasons.
@@nineteenfortyeight6762 exactly, like the rules don't apply to them.
@@nineteenfortyeight6762 I used to be a flight attendant and at times it just happens and it’s a long haired chihuahua and it’s too cute, too cute and you melt.
Uno is more chill than some kids on planes. I would appreciate Uno as a neighbor at flight
Children need gabapentin on a flight 😂
I also flew from the east to west coast with my baby and he was such a good boy. He didn't meow at all and didn't need any drugs and sat in my lap the whole time
Awww...such a precious void baby! Cats on gabapentin are the sweetest, funniest thing.
Gabapentin made my cross-country move go smoothly. ❤ My cat gets VERY stressed in the car. I’ve been working on desensitizing her, and she’s doing so much better! I have the same travel litter box, and then a habitat that takes up the back seat. She can lay down in her cat bed and chill out, and the litter box is available whenever she needs it.
I’m glad you had a successful cross country move with your cat 😻🫶
I used to take gabapentin. Now I take pregabalin (Lyrica). It's just a stronger prescription for the same thing: I have neuropathy. Nerve damage in my legs. Both meds work wonders to dampen the pain, and it lasts all day. Your cat was probably feeling a chill that sunk deep into his bones, lol. What a beautiful kitty.
@@migangelmart im sorry to hear that, but glad that lyrica is working for you. It's very popular on the streets. Its not doing that much good for me, but im trying different things, been through most painkillers on the market for chronic nerve pain due to severe nerve damage
I was prescribed Gaba for my nerve pain. Didn't know it was antianxiety.
@@migangelmartGaba did very little for my C3 referral pain, and i was cycling OTC on top. I wish i had known of this before I turned to alcohil to almost anesthesize myself until i could get treatment.
Moisturized. Unbothered. In his zone.
Lol the love for uno is amazing! I LOVE YOU UNO!!!
You are the best Mom for him! ☮️🐾💜💚🤎
Uno would make anything better 😊❤
The flight of my dreams would be if the person next to me had a cat, I would volunteer to hold the cat as much as allowed!
A few years ago I was at an outdoor event where someone had brought their therapy-kitten-in-training in a backpack carrier. I swear, the best part of that *whole* event was when her owner, a stranger I had met the night before, asked me if I could hold her while she got in line for food at the BBQ. I’ve never felt more blessed or trusted before nor since. That cat was so chill and just loved everybody. 🥰
May you too be blessed by snuggly kittens one day, internet stranger.
My daughter and her hubby flew with their cat 14 hours from US to northern Europe. Said she was a trooper the whole trip.
Thank god for gabapentin. I give it to my cat the day before and 2 hrs before his mani/pedi appt at the vet once a month. This kitty is adorable.
Dude I feel like it’s not discussed enough that cats sitting on your lap is so cute and comfy that it is a fully engaging experience. Like I could be entertained on a plane for at least 3 hours straight with just petting my cat Trinity (she’s so soft and so precious 🫶). And especially if I don’t have to worry about anybody being bothered by her, I’d absolutely love to have her along in the airport and on the plane!
i've met about 3 cats in my life and none have sat in my lap, and i've only pet one. i hope to get a cat in the future though 🥹❤️
Gabapentin makes me goofy too Uno!
if Uno does gabapentin, everyone loves him and gives him lots of scratches, but if I do gabapentin, I get fired from my job
@@deemah3602 Oh No!! Thats not fair! My doctor had to just lower my dose and now my arthritis is under control, with turmeric. That doesn’t seem fair. Im sorry that happened to you. I freaked out when my vet had my dog on Tramadol!! Switched over to a canine chiropractor and with adjustments, lasers, and CBD he was out of pain it was amazing. And im no hippie dippie holistic person, i just know what pharmaceuticals can do to me so way leary on giving to my dog. Is gabapentin even a “controled substance”? Its not an opioid, how can you get fired? That just doesn’t seem fair at all!!! Kinda makes me mad!!! 😡
@deemah3602 What job would fire you for taking Gabapentin?
@@PeteyThePenguin Could be some kind of machinery operator. Granted when I take too much of the gaba I definitely wouldn't want to be driving a forklift.
I love you and your 🐈⬛️
Uno has no enemies
Dog was tryna turn Uno into Cero-
The way I laughed out loud reading this 😂 touché
I'm so glad that Uno had a successful trip!😊
The rabid like foaming at the mouth is so relatable. My cats do that every time I have to give them any medicine. I usually end up with the drool all over my clothes when they shake their head or rub it on me. 😂
What a lovely kitty. I take gabapentin for my hands. It relaxes you.
What a kind and considerate lady. Too bad parents don't think about bothering other passengers.
I hope Uno had a good flight along with mommy. ❤️
I love it when I get to meet pets in the airport. Especially friendly beans like Uno. 🥰
Gabapentin relieves nerve pain and can make people a bit sleepy. It may have a more pronounced effect on cats.
Coming out here like a mr.beast intro like "MY CAT JUST DID DRUGS!"
As a nervous flyer I would be absolutely overjoyed having someone's chill cat sitting next to me on a flight ☺️
Have a cat to snuggle with makes literally anything so nice!❤❤
Having my cat in my lap would make flying 100 times better
I'm glad Uno made it safe!
i’ve only known about uno’s existence for a minute but i now love him
My anxious cat would take SO much gabapentin to be this chill. He takes 100 for the vet and it just paralyzes his rage.
And 6 that’s your baby so you gonna hold him😂
Gabapentin did the same thing to me, especially mixed with those lil plane cocktails and the high-pressure happy and talkative and then out like a light with slight drooling😂
I’d love it if my plane neighbor had a cute cat with them that I could pet throughout the flight.
He has a wonky ear. It's adorable. He's adorable~
Cats and dogs help make our lives beautiful. I wish more people would expose themselves to the love of these fuzz muffins.
That’s a cute lizard
Kitty got a bong hit, got munchies, get petted, relaxed into an aerial nap. I’d say that was a good trip 😂❤
That’s so cute! I’d be so happy if the person beside me on a plane had a cat with them. Just watching him would make the flight so much better!
Ahhhh!!! Had to wind back, I KNEW I recognized that sign!!! Thank you for repping Milwaukee!! Also, Uno's a boss. 🐾❤️🤗
awww uno is such a precious little kitty and you did such an amazing job w your kitty flying glad you had safe flights w u and Uno 🐾🐈⬛✨️❤️🌅🛫☁️
What a beautiful cat. Thank you for this
You thought of everything for him. I think you're fantastic 😊 and Uno too!
Oh my gosh a cat being in the airport would relax me so much. Maybe there will be one for my flight to Amsterdam 🥺🙏
I love cats that are THAT CHILL
I have never had the balls to sedate my cats for travel, it terrifies me even though it shouldn’t. Glad Uno did so well and had a great time meeting all his airport friends!
My allergic dumbass still wanting to pet him😂
I only get a runny nose and itchy eyes and normally it's more of a minor annoyance but if it wants pets then goddammit it's getting pets
Bro im crying rn bc my cat uno had passed some time ago and seeing this just made me cry i miss her so much 😭
Omg
Uno i love you🤣
When I take drugs to deal with stressful situations I "have a problem" and "need to seek help".
This cat does it and everybody loves it fml 😭
cat's chill af
Such a good cat
I flew cross country with my two 12 year old cats, and it was the best flight ever because I had them with me!
Yes! Our animals are not luggage! They are our family! They belong to cabin with passangers where they're safe. That's an amazing airlines you've had👏
