      Obviously never seen any David Cronenberg or Brian Yuzna movies. They did effective body horror years and years before this and much more intelligently.

    it is messed up and crazy, but as a woman, oh boy did i relate. and it was really beautiful and hearbreaking to me. and to lots of women. i don't see the nudity the way a man would maybe... so to me it's from a different lens... it's about deep things that maybe not everyone catches.

      That's what alot of people were saying and it was not like the fly it was like a old hag from witcher the ending was garbage but i did like the rest of the movie i was expecting a monster at the end like the fly but nope what a let down.

    What I remember from the behind-the-scenes of this movie is that Qualley's tatas were fake in the movie. Her tatas looked bigger here than in other movies where she appeared topless. It was a realistic prosthetic & a bit of makeup.

    I'm still reeling and trying to process and digest this movie, as I watched Tyrone's review, I'm laughing uncomfortably because his review is spot on. There are so many layers this movie and I was on board for all of it. But that ending though, Can't un-see that. Nope. You certainly can't un-see that. 😵

    I would say one of the best movie reviews I watch on UA-cam.
    And I was laughing out loud when you mention females hairy parts.
    I also like it when you came inside your room, sit down on the chair say nothing for a few seconds and that facial expression say it all.
    I was laughing.
    Man you make professional films podcasts critic's look like amateurs. Great job 🤣🤣👍

    Easily one of my top films of the year! Great theater experience, but yeah it does go off the rails a bit at the end lol most notably "splattering" sequence. That's the one part of the film where I felt it was trying too hard. But aside from that, it was masterfully crafted

    under the skin was Johansson's full nude flick. the substance was a super crazy version of Jerry Lewis movie of an old collage professor in love of a young student and took this potion to make him young to get her.
    I liked it for its u-neckless, its total out of there approach, its stab at the not only Hollywood but the world focus or treatment on youth and beauty. this movie stands out for me and is a very unique part of movie history.

    Exactly! The movie was great till it went to hell with the excess at the end. Stuckman and Jeramy Jahns said not to eat while watching; I ate while I watched on purpose and was not grossed out. A part 2 done well could score.

    I really enjoyed this movie. One thing that kind of bothered me though was her younger and older self only remembered some of the things they did and acted surprised when they saw the messes each other made.

    I completely agree with you Tyrone. The movie went on too long and just got so ridiculous in that last 30-40 minutes. I admire its creativity and ambition but it went way too over the top in the end and it became silly and pretentious. Great performances by Demi and Margaret though. And I’m still happy I watched it.

    I loved it, including the ending. In fact, that's probably the reason why i can handle hard gore like the Terrifier or cabin fever or hostel and many more if you're sensitive to hard gore or nudity or just out of control endings then don't watch it

    To give people who haven't seen the movie a comparison.
    The body horror in this movie is best described as a cross between David Cronenberg - especially The Fly - and Frank Henenlotter (Bascet Case).
    It's gross, but not as gross as, say, "Society."

    This is unlike any movie I've seen before, and for that alone, i gotta give it props. The acting was superb all around, and i never found myself bored at any moment. Do i recommend this movie? I really dont know how to answer that. If you're a movie buff, give it a watch unless you're squeamish, then dont lol.

    I took the third act going nuts as being a representation of the process itself, as it ‘splits and replicates’ itself into absurdity. May be giving the writing too much credit, who knows. But I definitely loved it as a massive fan of The Thing, The Fly, The Blob, even The Stuff. It’s a very 80s style horror flick

    @TyroneMagnus Yeah it started off strong and then flew way off the rails in the last 40 minutes. For me it was a one and done. There is no need for me to ever watch this movie again. I just can't justify sitting through it ever again.

    The excessive nudity was the only part that I didnt like. I understand that some nudity could add to the movie/theme but just dont knownwhy they had to show the same couple of people from every angle multiple times. And the ending was more comical than anything but I did really like the final scene.
