Her equivalent “Dad, are we there yet?” at 5:50, lol. So precious. Enjoy these ages and every future chapter with those kiddos. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas!! (your US 260se friend)
Nice one Charlie. Its great to see your kids are loving your passion for seaplane flying. I bet they get to see and go to some magical places. What a way to grow up, amazing. Merry Christmas.
My understanding in the US only class bravo requires explicit clearance. Class C and D if they establish two way communication that implies clearance. In Australia only class D has abbreviated clearances. When I’ve flown in the U.S. found the radio work almost the same as Australia so apart from controllers struggling with my accent it hasn’t been too bad.
Beautiful country, I haven't been to the east coast yet. We're planning our first trip into Mexico in two months which requires a lot of documentation and preparation.... radio calls should be challenging, my spanish is no bueno.
Nice weather, really awesome house on the lake!!! Your friend has some interesting approach to let you fly. Apparently he doesn’t brief you at all. He seems to be a super nice guy nevertheless. No shoulder harness… 😱 I don’t get it why people fly without. Just totally unnecessary risk.

Have fun!
@ btw, got my first ride in a seaplane a few weeks ago through Seattle. A Cessna 195 on floats, I now understand the amphibious attraction.

There’s a lot that gets edited out Timm! Too much to include all the briefing that happens.
