Young dog musher takes part in his 1st race with the help of elder

In this video for the CBC Creator Network, Explorer and Filmmaker Felipe Gomez, a new Canadian originally from Chile, travels to Northern Saskatchewan to meet with young mushers Garrick Schmidt, 19, and Trevor Kequahtooway, 30, from White Bear First Nation.
Garrick and Trevor are becoming dog mushers, training with and learning from head musher and University of Saskatchewan professor Kevin Lewis.
