I really hope the George and Tammy series comes out on DVD for the simple fact my parents are huge fans of both of them and I think they would really like this series.
mikey has an incredible taste for movies. knives out, bullet train, the night before... glad to see one of the guests finally acknowledge the fact their interview isn't the only part of seth's show worth appreciating
All of the praise for Mike Shannon here is completely warranted, but I’m still here LMAO at Seth’s “that sounded like the wind going through a holler” in basically the most Yankee way possible 😂🤣💀🖤
Me and a bunch of people taking Second City classes sung Happy Birthday for him at Old Miller's Ale House in Chicago. I still have the video on my phone.
i'm from Chicago and he kinda exemplifies being a Chicagoan in a way I cannot put into words for anyone who isn't from/hasn't lived there. i'm delighted that now I can just show them this video
George was known as “no show jones” by roadies / concert stage crews I had been on … I found out why as part of a small (20) crew paid the 3hr minimum when his tour didn’t show up, like the stories
So glad Michael Shannon is being more widely recognized. Have to say I am surprised George Jones isn't the icon I always thought he was. The show makes it clear Tammy was more popular, even in the South. If hearing George sing "He Stopped Loving Her Today" doesn't make you a little misty, there's a real chance you've never known heartbreak.
Love Nocturnal Animals. Big fan of the story within a story narrative, and I don't mind a hood revenge flick, either. Could've done without the opening credits, though. He's also great in Take Shelter. If you haven't checked that out, I'd recommend it.
I like it when Michael has his hair nice coiffed with dark brown color and having his eyebrows trimmed , no facial hair. I can never understand when surrounded by hair and make up people that his brows arent always trimmed and hair styled nicely with part on the side.........
Funny how many of us seem to have a fascination with 1970s New York. With all the high crime rates and trash here and elsewhere, it had a grittiness and sexiness to it. Not to mention the music/arts scene and affordable housing back then.
my memories of NYC in the early '70s is not pleasant. two main points: it's the first time I was made aware of the unscrupulous trumps and hearing d.trump's name (with my dislike of him ever since) and a woman getting attacked/robbed/killed with something like 37 people hearing/seeing it for a period of time yet no one called the police to help her. I was a young kid for the lady and a young teen for trump so it scared me off of the place and crappy rich people lived there. of course, I now know it's much more than that but, to this day, I'm wary of the place and I'm from New England so it was a bummer to have that in my head
His little "He,He" laugh is so distinctive.
Met Michael Shannon. I was the sous chef at a little place in Shreveport and I cooked his meal. Very nice guy. Great actor
"There was some people who came up to me, I told them to go away" 🤣💕👍 Such a chill dude
He has such a distinct voice and presence..
I love this guy ❤ definitely a talent for the ages 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have zero interest in country music but I’ll watch this. I’d watch him in anything. Epic actor.
Michael Shannon is a shining gift to the world ❤❤❤

I fascinated with Michael Shannon. It's like I'm watching Peter Deuel at an older age.
Whaaaa I already respect the hell outa Michael Shannon, but if that’s his real voice I just gained so much more respect for him. Amazing
He’s sang before. I think he has a band.
@@Sharpe1502 Yup, it's called Corporal. Not sure if they still play together though. Perhaps the odd show here and there.
Michael Shannon ought to record an album telling children stories.
“Hey asshole, neither your parents or I like you and it’s my goal in life to see you hang” - Michael Shannon reading Hansel & Gretel
"it was legal." What a legend.
One of the great actors of our time. And effortlessly hilarious! Great talk Seth. Jackal approved. Jackal VERY approved.
Jackal approved huh, got to say, I'm thinking it may become a gold standard.
If they ever do a biopic on David Letterman, Michael Shannon should portray him!
👏🌟🔥💥💯😁
Can’t unsee it now, haha
i agree!
Oh my goodness! Excellent idea!!
I feel like they would go with someone who has the tooth gap
what a boss, i love this guy
Seth, please does us all a favor an do another day drinking segment with Michael Shannon.
Never thought that kid from Groundhog Day would become one of the greatest actors in Hollywood.
I knew he was going to be big when I saw him in Grand Theft Parsons. He killed that role opposite Jonny Knoxville.
@@WraithWriter my favorite will always be Boardwalk Empire. Good lord, he killed that.
@@abbycross90210 I'll agree. He's definitely dedicated to his craft. It's always a pleasure to watch him in any type of film. Cheers!
Wrestlemania?! No way!!!
Sorry to hear that.
What a total Dude. Loving it ❤

Now I'm curious. You mean in the way he carries himself? Mexican here BTW.
I have always admired Mike Shannon. Excellent actor! Great interview!
Love his character in Nocturnal Animals. Looking forward to this now too!
God I love him, especially his laugh :D
I like the work of Del Shannon 🤗
George was known as “no show jones” by roadies / concert stage crews I had been on … I found out why as part of a small (20) crew paid the 3hr minimum when his tour didn’t show up, like the stories
My first two were Sports by Huey Lewis and Stay Hungry by Twisted Sister.
Gotta keep 'em guessin'!
He's an excellent singer...at first, I thought he was lipsyncing to that George Jones song. 😊
Serious Michael Pera vibes. Love this guy.

Everytime I see him all I hear is his lines from Superman, "I WILL FIND HIM!"
Sorry to hear that.

He's a good actor. George and Tammy is similar to Walk The Line.
So interesting to see him on this show after Colbert. He is obviously a LOT more comfortable with Seth. Comes across very differently.
I think Colbert has gotten cocky and aggressive since he got to No. 1
Oh no, I miss the 70s in NYC!
My friend from Kansas called SNL "coastal Hee-Haw".
Blake Shelton called Hee-Haw SNL meets Deliverance
"It was legal..."
So, in the lineup at 4;20 waiting for the doors to open huh?
“I WILL FIND HIM!”

that is oddly specific, but yes well coiffed Michael Shannon is the way to go...........
Whenever I see his face, I relive the movie Kangaroo Jack.
I’m so sorry to hear that ☺️. Happy New Year anyways.
Sorry to hear that.
New York in the seventies: Dirty, trash in the streets, but ever so affordable! Crazy arts scene. I'd move back in a minute.

I ate by myself at that restaurant in Maryland.
Michael Shannon Looks Like An Older River Phoenix In My Opinion.
Bachelor party was an issue with Larry. He had ideas that didn’t pan out.
The bass he played in jazz band was a two-stringed bass. Check out more of Mike's early bass playing here: ua-cam.com/video/hOFvEfqFb54/v-deo.html
I hope he didn't get to fond of Richard Kuclinski while researching him, as he was, I guess, supposed to, before playing him 🙈

God he’s funny “ and wonderful “ but Walton should have been George and they should have hired a decent write g

I’m not doing another year of anything bc Anna BS. Non-starter & need a new plan.
