I attended the same congregation as him for a good 15 years. I have to say, he was one of the most generous wealthy people I've ever been around, attended meetings regularly (when not touring) and gave very nice comments and TMS talks. Invited my family to his house several times and was a gracious host. Also happens to be one heck of a guitarist in case you haven't heard.

Oh so beautiful of a kingdom melody. One of my absolute favorites. Plus I've always loved Brother Benson's voice since I was a little girl. Heart-warming reminder of how true love should be. Thank you so much for making this accessible in this version. A wonderful way to end an evening.

So what man are they putting there trust in to be exact? if you put your jealousy aside this song is talking about the way Jesus wants us to be something you're definitely not doing.
JW's follow Jesus Christ through the Bible. He is the Leader. If we deny him as Savior we cannot please God his father. So where is your difficulty? Unlike the churches who worship an unscriptural trinity and follow a man, the pope, and other human leaders. These teach a mixture of paganism with sometimes basic Bible truth, but more often false doctrine contrived by man and not based on the Bible. JW's have those who teach, but they all teach. Also they don't rely on hearsay, but they confirm and study what they hear through God's Word. That is the Christian way. Does that not seem better than blindly following a man, never reasoning from the scriptures? God will take a people for himself from the nations, ones humble and teachable. Those who will obey Him in truth, in word and deed. This modern day Christianity was revived by initially a few serious Bible students in the late 19th century, and has since advanced greatly in understanding and in numbers around the world. Also a cult is usually destructive, often leading to suicide pacts or violent acts. Those kind of things are from the devil who opposes God and human life, his creation. Don't be fooled and become one of those. JW's are known for their love of life and peace, not violence.
A shame this beautiful song with lyrics based on 1 Peter 4:8 was no longer included in the 2009 songbook neither has it been in the new one. George Benson gives a lovely rendition here with tasteful guitar work intertwined. I love his guitar playing ever since he and his trio appeared on German ZDF TV with 'Breezin' ' - then got hold of his Jazz CDs and almost everything else. A fabulous musician.
