@megaluisdeth finally someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to Metallica's bassist. Rob by far has the best bass tone out of all the bassist. I was whatever about Rob till i heard him live. I jizzed in my pants when he played Ride the Lightning near the beginning of their setlist.
Can you guys here the sound starting at 0:23? there is a low sound coming from back and slowy fades then come again. Is that a bass effect? If that is ı realy liked it
@@Dubbag a bend? That I know of, I haven't seen too much live versions or from Rob's angle. For me it's a slide through the B string. I'll leave it to your criteria. Maybe you're right, or maybe there's must be a part on the neck in which he can bend down and slide through the string and come back over
@@Mati12Osorio Rob plays a 5 string, the standard tuning makes it a natural B. Given that the song is played in E, he begins the riff by already having the string bent up before hitting it, therefore allowing him to hit that low B then rise back up again.
Im not going to argue that this is not Rob playing but at very least I will say this is not the final bass track on the album. It does not stay clear all way through, to have a final take and of quality performance each note should be clear. Leave it to mixing to adjust volume ect
If we could mix Burton's creativity + Rob's technique + Jason's attitude we would create a bass god
Steve DiGeorgio???
Only a fool would leave Metallica. What attitude? His attitude sucks!
@@hellboundrubber4448lol
Wow, Trujillo's really choppin' up some licks in this one...
I can feel Rob's groovy play style in this one!

Sweet bass intro!!! Very groovy and heavy at the same time! Awesome job, Rob!
Rob is the best bass player metallica has ever had.
The bass line in this song is freaking sexy.
i want his bass and amps :D
this sounds fucking good. cliff was the best..bu rob is really good too.
Rob composed EVERY song in the Death Magnetic album.
death magnetic needs to be remastered so u can AT LEAST hear a some of this
groooovy !!
I adore Rob's playing, but IMO no one will ever be a greater metallica bass player than CLIFF BURTON.
@DooMERful just a regular emg j set on a fernandes gravity 5 that's what he recorded with in the making of death magnetic videos for this song
Fucking Beast
@86artist Me too Cliff was Epic, Jason was whatever for me, but Rob is probably the best bass player so far in Metallica.

No, it's a 5 string bass, Rob plays that slide on the B string
@@Mati12Osorio it's actually a bend.

heck yeah
Rob rules Bob drools X3
The clipped album kinda ruins this bassline. Thanks for posting this isolated bass.
I heard the only thing he had to do with Blackened creatively was the intro. I don't know if that's true, just something I heard.
@dogacan88 it's him going up and down on the frets.
it's actually a bend.
Rob ist ein Tier \m/
@SerenadeBX that´s for shure
He means the bassparts if i'm not mistaken
awesome job man. that u playin?
No, that's Robert Trujillo, bass player of Metallica.
How do you get this bass tone???
??? 240p - 360p - 720p ??? Missing link?!
anyone knows what type of emgs he is using?
Jason composed Blackened ;)
Ok, but this is not Blackened
@baranthalas
And Kirk.

Jason wrote Blackened fool...thats one of Metallicas best songs
what about WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE ;)
o i thought u covered em.
my bad.
dumb moment
thanks though
I think it dont make sense to argue about who is beter. Everybody has his meaning. i think cliff is no.1 rob no.2 and jason no. 3 ...
great man! rob is way better than jason... LOL... can u upload suicide and redemption's bass master track???

All the Metallica songs ruin Robs bass
