    I recently did a bible study where a similar concept came up and it begged this question: what makes you think you'll be willing to die for Christ, if you're not willing to live for Him?

    Joking about persecution is also incredibly disrespectful to those who are ACTUALLY persecuted -- forced away from their families, denied their rights and at worst, killed.

So Hearing that this is a trend is alarming. The devil is a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. Careful what you speak out of your mouth . He will grab it and make it happen Sis please renounce that please and repent 🥴😭

      You're not alone sister, and your words are truth: The persecutions of the Christians in China, the middle east and India are horrible right now, so our minor afflictions pale. However, I too have been facing persecution for walking the Lord's path. Three times this year I was asked to leave a church, once violently for praying for people in the Holy Spirit without the churches permission. Most recently, I was lied about in a local church and asked to leave as the Christmas service was starting.
      So, just yesterday, the Lord revealed to me that I needed to forgive those people and to pray for them. I didn't realize I was letting bitterness into my heart. It had actually interfered with my relationship with the Lord all week. Thank you for posting this comment. The Holy Spirit fill you sister and all who read this in the name of Jesus, peace on you.

    Unlike most Christians, I can be honest and say that I am scared of persecution. I do not have that level of confidence, boldness, courage, strength, and even faith to go through it yet. But that’s why I’m trying my best to build my relationship and know God as much as I can. So that when persecution does come, I will have all of the strength and boldness God has given me to go through it.
    And although I am saved, I will admit that I don’t think I’m ready for the rapture yet. Because there’s so much I don’t know about God and I feel like there’s so much to discover about him. So I just want to try my best to know as much as I can about him and to live for him.
    EDIT: Thank you to all you have replied and understand where I was coming from. It is so nice to know that I am not the only one who feels this way. However I have seen a few comments that think otherwise.
    I just want to say, that I love God and Jesus my Savior, I have faith and trust in my Lord. By me admitting that have fear on certain areas does not mean that I have no faith in God. I am still learning so much about him and trying to improve my relationship with him day by day. So pls, instead of judging me, please understand where I am coming from. My level of faith may not be as strong or high as some Christians, but both God and I know that I am learning little by little. Thank you and God bless all of you.

      It's not always easy to stand up and proclaim our love for the Lord. I know how I felt at the very beginning, when the Lord lifted me up- it took all the courage to tell the world that I love Jesus with all my heart. But it got easier, the more I practised...the more I was sharing my testimonies in the street, the more I was carrying a board, sharing the Gospel. What really helped me was a sincere prayer (for courage). " Ask, and it shall be given you" Matt 7:7

I force myself to read every day, anything I can get my hands on. I read the Bible, and yes it was very difficult. I went online and looked up the summary to every book of the Bible and read and understood those summaries. By doing that I got an idea as to what I was reading in the chapters. Do not let Satan continually tell you you have a learning disability, you do not! You just learn slower than others. Or you might see different words that you cannot comprehend. Or comprehending what you read is a sign of some type dyslexia which is beatable. You will be in my prayers my brother because I know how difficult it is.

    As someone who as faced light persecution as death threats and threats of violence to even my children, had windows of car broke out, tires slashed for for preaching the gospel to a certain group that identify as "antifascists" in my community, I can say that it isnt some fantasy role play or some "I'm this super brave hero" video game. It's real life. It hurts your soul bc you love these people and don't want to see them perish. It can be scary if you aren't focused on Jesus & eternity. Its not some TikTok meme, and it takes a toll on your spirit if you aren't spiritually prepared and firmly grounded in Daily prayer & The Word. I'm thankful I have a wife that understands the cost and the cost, but I had people that were ministering friends that abandoned the cause when the persecution happened and I'm afraid this will be the sad truth as true persecution grows in the US. We have it easy in America, and it has made soft Christians, but if you can't even sacrifice your day to day cushy life by making time to pray, read The Word, and spread The Good News- when the time comes- you will fail bc you haven't done the basics to take deep root & establish a firm foundation to endure and be humbly bold.

      To the mature adult behind this post:
      There are two types of Christians:
      1.-Those who strive to SERVE Christ, despite their shortcomings, sinfulness and weaknesses: ua-cam.com/video/pbOzYh9n4OA/v-deo.html.
      2.-Those who PRETEND to use God to SERVE themselves, make themselves feel better about themselves in any way, shape or form.
      There is only one way to do the first: Renounce yourself and carry your cross.
      There are as many ways as there are people to do the second: Idolatry, creating a false God in your OWN image to serve your own Ego. That is, the essence of the Original Sin. Remember, God is GOOD and He is watching you.

      I have more than one time thought about leaving the good fight, but the one thing that kept me going is the fact that. We have a God who not only sympathises with our suffering, but He himself suffered and died and still forgave his persecutors and died for them.
      This fact helps me endure all things, knowing that we will have pain now, but in the end, a crown of life.

I have learned from a lot of missionaries the horrendous things that the world has done to followers of christ. What I'm trying to say is that if this person was persecuted at the level that people in Eastern Asia or the middle east, she wouldn't not say that it was fun. She should be careful with what she says, especially online, and especially if she represents Christians. In America people are so blessed, even if they aren't persecuted with death and imprisonment, and that is great. We should do God's work, whether we are persecuted or not. Being persecuted tests your patience and your love. It is very hard to love those who mock you, laugh at you, spit on your face and threaten you. It's harder to find the right words to use in those moments, because you try to hold your peace and be long suffering, just as God is, but by doing that we are going against our nature, which tells us to mock right back and spit on them. I wouldn't ever want to face persecution simply for the fact that I'm scared of how I would react, because I'm sure I will disobey God and fight back when he tells me instead to give them the other cheek when they strike me.

    At that age, being raised in a typical westernized/democratized environment, a young persson can't possibly have a non-abstract realization of what being persecuted for being persecuted as a Christian in places like Africa, RoC, the Middle East is like.; much less under what's to come. It's not her intent to minimize or devalue the horror of the sacrifice these people are going through; she is, in fact, attempting to show her devout belief, and good for her. It is good to discredit prosperity preaching that falsely promotes ideas of worldly gains without worldly sacrifice. But it's hard enough to get through to share the Word with a world that increasingly is raised in homes where biblical values and knowledge are instilled and known less and less, without possibly making someone's first impression of Christianity is that it's all about physical persecution and suffering. Being imprisoned will be the worst of it as a minimum. But, I believe her heart is good, and in the right place. We just need to lovingly emphasize to our young people this is not going to be a romantic adventure, like being a resistance fighter in a movie.

      Start by looking at your youtube Avatar, as a fan of the original Witcher game and ANYTHING Polish way before Sapkowski even wrote the first book I must say, that that is not helping your relationship with the Holy Spirit. I made the exact same mistake, until the Holy Spirit told me to stop.
      When you look at it in the Spiritual warfare plane The Witcher in the Polish historical context is the Pagan counterpart to the "Scientific Materialism" imposed by the Soviets and the Polish Catholicism so deeply rooted in Polish history. A remembrance of a time in Poland before the years 900, the Prusian side of things.
      Look no further than the evidence of the downfall of CD Projekt Red, its founder a considerably privileged son of Polish communist diplomats who could travel outside Polish borders(for Communist country standards that is). Once the success of Witcher III came along, God left that company to its own devices, like it says in the Bible he does to punish human wickedness again and again(separation from God's Goodness as the source of anything worth is Death, the wages of Sin). And what did they do: exploit and overwork their employees, alienate them and produce a crappy product about a dystopian future where the world is entirely sinful and dehumanized. Cyberpunk failed miserably, and the message is strongly clear. It wasn't supposed to fly. CDPR got hacked, probably influenced by one of those alienated employees, directly or indirectly.
      Consider that God is the Ipssum Essem like Thomas Aquinas described and it all makes sense, you can just go to The Book of Kings and study the patterns just for that as well.
      It isn't Good, nor is it for the Glory of God. You can start with that, instead of thinking of being persecuted, or not.

    • @jakobfel2
      @jakobfel2 2 роки тому +4

      @@einarabelc5 I would have to firmly disagree. In fact, the Witcher series has helped me understand human nature and the depths of depravity we go to without the Holy Spirit. God can and does use anything to teach us things. Sapkowski's work isn't Christian fiction, I'll give you that, but evil, magic and other things are never glorified. The series is more about how dark and evil humans are: in a world where there are lots of monsters, humanity is still more monstrous.
      As for your complaints about CDPR, that literally sounds ONLY like a bitter individual making conspiracy theories because their unrealistic expectations were unfulfilled. Oh, and speaking of Cyberpunk, that franchise is even better for teaching similar lessons. The franchise creator, Mike Pondsmith, directly stated that the dark future shown in that series is a WARNING, not an aspiration. It's a warning against our current system, telling us to change our ways or else the world will only continue to get worse. As we know, the Bible tells us that it will but it doesn't tell us we shouldn't continue to fight it by being lights in the darkness. In fact, the Bible continually implies we should do just that: be the lights in this world, fight the encroaching darkness. We know the world will sink to its lowest depths during the Great Tribulation but that doesn't mean we shouldn't resist.
      You are free to do what you want. If the Holy Spirit convicted you to not enjoy the Witcher franchise, you should listen to Him, but the Holy Spirit convicts us of different things. Just because the Witcher series may not be right for YOU, that doesn't mean everyone else needs to stop. That's how art must be treated in general: listen to the Holy Spirit. If He convicts you for indulging in a certain piece of art, you should stop, but that doesn't make the art evil or sinful. It just means that art has nothing of value for you as a follower of Christ.

    Speak on it!! The mind is powerful and we need to get comfortable with the fact that ppl disliking us because of our faith is a given. Now that doesn’t mean be rude, but respectfully saying your truth is what we’re called to do. As long as God is pleased with you, who else is there to worry about.
    But again easier said then done, so let’s all show each other love when we step out in faith 😊

    As long as we are being soft saying things like "you do you" and "to each his own" or "I won't judge" we will not face persecution. A Christian who wanting to be bold for Christ doesn't care to fit in this world, they don't promote the toxic self love trend, they don't try to get famous off being a Christian and they don't joke and make fun of God the way that young lady did thats not ok its not mature and I've made jokes but im done with the jokes. If you are unafraid you will face persecution even in the U.S. Most Americans simply aren't Christian most who claim to be Christian simply aren't Christian. We aren't the main Characters and when you're a persecuted Christian sometimes you're the 1 no one notice it won't be like Hunger Games where everyone's eyes is on you the hero...no it'll be like you're being bullied everyday but you can't fight back except with God's word and when you use if they don't repent they will laugh at it. Being persecuted happens to the humbled in heart.

    Honestly, in the midst of serious depression and stress sometimes me and my family kinda laugh out of stress though. We think we've been through poverty this and that now we're gonna have to go through more of it that's gonna be serious.
    It's easy to say "hey be serious about this!" When you have a home and money and comfort to be serious.
    But lots of us our losing our minds many in poverty and some start too laugh a bit to cope.
    Yes we know it's going to be very very bad, but thinking about how bad it's going to be all the time? Didn't God say not to worry?
    Didn't God say no matter what do not worry or fret?. Being overly worried and getting mad at others for not being super serious, when they could just be using a way to cope, they are trying to not worry.
    I know people don't wanna hear this. But the homeless that beileve in God the poor are trying to keep some hope so we laugh a bit.
    I don't think she meant it as a full joke. I think she meant it as *this is going to be awful and suck so I'm gonna try my best not to go insane cause God doesn't want me to worry*
    I know where your coming from and I know it's a serious matter. But just from my point of view I try to cope in certian ways so I don't worry cause God told me not too worry.
    People are going to be myrtered, it is going to be very very bad, just as the groups that already have got myterred. It was awful. Even when we die we are not to worry.
    We shouldn't be worried on image of being too serious to make sure people know we're one of the serious ones, or too laughable or too this or too that. We should ONLY be saying ok what can I do to please God today and not worry no matter what comes my way.
    I think it's time we all get off the internet and focus on God. Not tik Tok or UA-cam or how to be more serious, and how to be less joking cause none of that matters . We should do our best to do God's will. Speak to God have relationship with him laugh with him know him love him. Not worry about how we can please the world to show that we are serious to the world. Show God your serious about him not the idea of BEING serious in general.
    I like your videos btw, this had nothing against you just to be clear lol. I just think it's best everyone stays off the Internet, I'm staying off it now since I realized yesterday why do I feel so confused everytime I see different videos saying different things of different this and that of God.
    If it feels confusing it's not of God UA-cam in general I mean.
    Edit: just to be clear I didn't mean this as in don't worry about being faithful. I'm saying 100 percent be faithful but don't drive yourself insane trying to please the world with your seriousness. Only please God.

    I don’t think some people realize that Christians are having their throats slit for practicing their faith in certain parts of the world. I find this trend of glorifying persecution to be pretty disgusting. Instead of hoping for persecution and downplaying the hardships that Christian’s are facing throughout the world, how about we live in gratitude that we live in a free country where it’s safe to practice our faith. Let’s use that to spread the gospel and let’s continue to pray for and support our brothers and sisters who are facing real persecution.

      Your disgusted with what the Bible says then? Because it clearly says being persecuted is a blessing.
      Matthew 5:10-12
      Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
      Just one example

    • @paigerenee4173
      @paigerenee4173 2 роки тому

      @@BaconPizza it’s a blessing because of their reward in Heaven. The Bible is not saying that we should be really excited to be persecuted or killed for our faith. People die for their faith every day and it’s tragic. But God sees their faith and will reward them.

    • @BaconPizza
      @BaconPizza 2 роки тому

      @@paigerenee4173 is it not? There’s so many examples in the Bible where it speaks about delighting in persecution.
      2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
      Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
      For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.
      But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,
      Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
      If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
      I could go on, but you see the picture

    • @paigerenee4173
      @paigerenee4173 2 роки тому

      @@BaconPizza I think you’re missing the point of those verses. The point is to rejoice in persecution because we have the Lord, and in Him we can rejoice in all circumstances. Persecution is a sign that we are not of the world which is a good thing. Those who are persecuted are not striving for things of the world but rather they are striving for the Kingdom of God, and that’s a good thing. I don’t think the Bible is encouraging this kind of behavior where people like us who are blessed to freely practice our faith are desiring to be persecuted, harmed, killed, etc for our faith because it sounds exciting. Again, Christians in certain parts of the world are dying every single day because of persecution and yet here we are blessed with religious freedom and we’re desiring persecution and making a joke out of it. Like Isaac said in his video, we think we would be brave and strong in the face of persecution yet a lot of us even with our religious freedom can’t share the gospel to one person. I speak first and foremost to myself here. I think we all need to work on this- not desiring persecution but rather using the freedoms we have to spread the gospel and to support our brothers and sisters facing real danger.

    I think Peter and the disciples thought like this too. Like when Peter responded to Jesus by saying:
    “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.” (Matthew 26:33)
    all the disciples then agreed with Peter when he said:
    “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” (Matthew 26:35)
    But not too long after that all the disciples abandoned Jesus and Peter did deny Him three times.
    And not too long ago I also "fantasized" about persecution and the tribulation, but then one day the Holy Spirit hit me with that conviction and basically said "what are you doing?!?!" so thank God for the Holy Spirit

    Have you ever been beaten until you couldn’t stand? Have you ever been starved as a means of manipulation and control? Have you ever been locked in a closet for days on end, or literally been in jail unjustly? I have lived through all of these. It’s not a joke. It’s not fun. And it’s absolutely not something to aspire to. I pray that God gives me mercy, and I would be so very blessed to never have to experience any of those things again in this short life.

    The sad thing is that these people don't understand what actual persecution will look like. It won't necessarily be thrown in prison. For many, persecution over their faith is public beating and execution, mistreatment through a violation of all basic human rights, and so on. A good example is how Christians are treated in the Middle East, India, China, & North Korea. We are so comfortable in the Western world that we have no idea what it is truly like to be persecuted. I'm not excited at the thought of being persecuted; I am thankful that if/when persecution comes, it is because I am standing for Christ.

There are so many Christians who focus so much on works but they focus so much outwardly where they're trying to serve others outside their home and across these and yet they're abusing their family members or mistreating their roommates.
