Javelin Missile ATGM: a Nightmare for Russian Tanks

Javelin is an anti-tank guided munition that can be carried and launched by a single person. It is made by the Javelin Joint Venture, a partnership between Raytheon Missiles & Defense and Lockheed Martin. Javelin missiles are among the items that have been sent to Ukraine through a series of military assistance packages. Russia has likely lost more than 2,000 tanks in its war in Ukraine, more than half of its operational tank fleet, The estimates suggest that Russia might have lost 50% of modern tanks such as the T-72B3 and T-72B3M and that its inventory of T-80BV/U tanks has been depleted by two-thirds.
