Purtroppo per via della gravissima caduta è stato fermo 3 mesi e ha, oltre che rischiato letteralmente di morire, dovuto interrompere il suo programma di preparazione al tour.
Non può essere al 100 per 100, ma visto che pogi ha fatto anche il giro, potrebbe soffrire la terza settimana visto che anche lui è umano e magari neanche lui sarà al 100per 100.
Ricordo che l ultimo a vincere giro e tour nello stesso anno fu Marco Pantani e prima di lui solo in 7 ci erano riusciti.
Fisicamente è devastante, perché non hai praticamente tempo per allenarti visto che ci sono solo 3 settimane di stacco e sicuramente molti dei giorni serviranno per recuperare dalle fatiche del giro d Italia, che è anche più duro del tour.
Al giro ci sono salite spaventose e soprattutto molto lunghe, non a caso pogi lo ha stradominato.
Forse il tour di quest' anno però assomiglia molto al giro perche di salite ce ne sono come non mai.

Incredible! Thank you so much for sharing this documentary. Even though I prefer Tajej’s riding style, I can’t deny that Visma looks like the most complete team, and their documentaries are the best to understand cycling.

Look at Pogacar's age he's 25 and Vingegaard is 27 and will become allready 28 this year. Then look at palmares and then see who won the most, and most important races.. It's Tadej. Jonas exept for TDF can't win sh*t. He can't even win a classic like Tadej did. Even Evenepoel won 2x LBL too and is 24. Pogacar will allways be better than Vingegaard doesn't matter if he's first or second this tour. He can win big classics like Tour off Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen, LBL and Il lombardia) now he won a Giro too and all the 1 week races he participated this year.
Tadej is the GOAT! And if you can't admit that then you're just short sighted.

It is remarkable how well Jonas is doing right now, and unlike Remco and Pogi he rides smart, strikes accurately and we shall see the next two weeks

The only one that attacks in every single race is the GOAT Tadej Pogacar. He can win TDF, Giro to Monuments like Tour de Flanders, LBL and Il lombardia. And it the meantime win 1 week races and degradates the best climbers in those races. Tadej can win anything he set his mind on. Imagine if he would just ride the TDF and allmost nothing else. He would win 10times without bad luck. But no cycling is more than just TDF and Tadej knows that like every cycling fan.
Hope he's scared off bad luck and wins this years TDF.

at 12 minutes the Englisman says Tadej is desperate. He looked not desperate at all. JV team were very right: he looked great. Also I think without his pulse being broken this TdF would have been a lot closer all in all.

I believe Pogi took a serious hit at his ego at the 2023 TDF. But when I see the last two tours, the Strade Bianche, the 2024 Giro and the first TT of the 2024 Tour de France, I think he has stacked enough power to take Vingegaard by surprise on the last week of the TDF 4r. I'm not an expert so to speak but that's my feeling when seeing the gap getting smaller and smaller as the time goes by.
Jonas will crack the last week. You cant race full gas with that little training. Same happent to pogacar last year cause of the broken hand.
@@enej1827That’s a good point, but I think because JVG is really racing smart and conserving energy, he will be really strong in the mountains, Poggi looks anxious to race and there are some similarities with the last two tours, he gassed out, and big part of that I think was all the energy used in prior stages. Respect to both, my fav is Jonas but Poggi is a monster.

Pogi couldn't race for 6 weeks but he could train 2-3 days later - a level it took JV more than 2 months to reach.

I guess the trilogy will have to wait, but Jonas is still in high form, from what I've been watching. Anyone think Jonas or Tadej will attempt the Vuelta? I've seen online chattering/rumors, but nothing solid

I feel that Tadej needs to watch this.. Visma was really scared of him.. he just needs to stay calm and do not waste energy.. let visma do the work.. they need to beat Remco first anyway
Clearly the 2024 results contradict what you said; even with Jonas' post crash recovery, he was better than Remco, and Tadej put down the hammer this TDF. I actually watched the bike race where Jonas, among others, went down in that huge downhill crash. Watched the reports and hearing about the injuries and the timeline, I thought there was NO WAY Jonas would be ready for the TDF. I was impressed with his ability to do just that, and not only just "be ready", but clearly he thought he had a chance/opportunity to take the win.

@@simonbryld Because it's about Visma as a team that experienced the tour last year not just about Jonas. And Visma is Dutch team and that's why it was on Dutch tv.
Hmmm....It is a Dutch team. Besides Danes with some effort should be able to understand (quite a bit). I know a few who could when I was in Denmark as a Dutch so with some context for at least some it seems to be doable. I could read Danish with zero prior experience from my Dutch but agree that spoken it is not that easy.

Forme Pogacar is the best rider after Hinault (and on his heels), Vingegaard is not even close of course. To me in this age it is one Pogacar, two Van der Poel, three van Aert, four Evenepoel and five Jonas. But that matters little in the TdF. There I now rate Jonas slightly above Tadej. I think this tour inspite of a sad season start Jonas is there and what an effort that is!
Jonas has the best team that's why they can execute the best strat, while pogi in the other hand has the best but not as best as jonas

It wouldn't be a defeat, Vingegaard crashed and broke his shoulder blade, collar bone, 3 ribs, a punctured lung and blood in his lung, staying in the ICU for 12 days. This was not even 3 months before start of Tour de France. This is the only way Pogacar is ever beating Vingegaard in Tour de France 😎

Just shows the extreme techniques and plans Jumbo Visma had to do to get rid of a man with a much weaker team. If you go just one on one, Tadej will leave Jonas behind. This was a team effort. In 2024, the situation is reversed. Tadej has the better team. Let see what happens?
I think it was a team effort and also an individual effort to win the tour. What I mean is not everyone could win even with a great team. I think this year everyone already knows the winner will be Tadej. Let’s see how this plays out.
If Jonas was in top shape I would still think Jonas wins. Look at the TT etc - he was alone and made the difference himself completely. But he is not in top shape in 2024, so let's see

So 100 days out from the Tour a guy can take 30 days off, meaning NO exercise at all, and still be at the top. I guess the dope is now extraordinary. If you think this is natural then you have not watched cycling for very long.
