Purtroppo per via della gravissima caduta è stato fermo 3 mesi e ha, oltre che rischiato letteralmente di morire, dovuto interrompere il suo programma di preparazione al tour. Non può essere al 100 per 100, ma visto che pogi ha fatto anche il giro, potrebbe soffrire la terza settimana visto che anche lui è umano e magari neanche lui sarà al 100per 100. Ricordo che l ultimo a vincere giro e tour nello stesso anno fu Marco Pantani e prima di lui solo in 7 ci erano riusciti. Fisicamente è devastante, perché non hai praticamente tempo per allenarti visto che ci sono solo 3 settimane di stacco e sicuramente molti dei giorni serviranno per recuperare dalle fatiche del giro d Italia, che è anche più duro del tour. Al giro ci sono salite spaventose e soprattutto molto lunghe, non a caso pogi lo ha stradominato. Forse il tour di quest' anno però assomiglia molto al giro perche di salite ce ne sono come non mai. at 12 minutes the Englisman says Tadej is desperate. He looked not desperate at all. JV team were very right: he looked great. Also I think without his pulse being broken this TdF would have been a lot closer all in all. @ 17:52 Jonas showed weakness looking for support but on his own...Shows how much of a team effort it is for him I think.
The fact that it literally takes and entire team of cycling all-stars to beat one other rider just shows you how incredible Pogacar is. I mean, I like Jonas, I like Kuss, I like Wout, I like Primoz... but Pogacar is just on another level. Which doesn't mean he is invincible. If he was, it wouldn't be exciting to watch the battles.
Forme Pogacar is the best rider after Hinault (and on his heels), Vingegaard is not even close of course. To me in this age it is one Pogacar, two Van der Poel, three van Aert, four Evenepoel and five Jonas. But that matters little in the TdF. There I now rate Jonas slightly above Tadej. I think this tour inspite of a sad season start Jonas is there and what an effort that is!

I believe Pogi took a serious hit at his ego at the 2023 TDF. But when I see the last two tours, the Strade Bianche, the 2024 Giro and the first TT of the 2024 Tour de France, I think he has stacked enough power to take Vingegaard by surprise on the last week of the TDF 4r. I'm not an expert so to speak but that's my feeling when seeing the gap getting smaller and smaller as the time goes by.

Hmmm....It is a Dutch team. Besides Danes with some effort should be able to understand (quite a bit). I know a few who could when I was in Denmark as a Dutch so with some context for at least some it seems to be doable. I could read Danish with zero prior experience from my Dutch but agree that spoken it is not that easy.

Clearly the 2024 results contradict what you said; even with Jonas' post crash recovery, he was better than Remco, and Tadej put down the hammer this TDF. I actually watched the bike race where Jonas, among others, went down in that huge downhill crash. Watched the reports and hearing about the injuries and the timeline, I thought there was NO WAY Jonas would be ready for the TDF. I was impressed with his ability to do just that, and not only just "be ready", but clearly he thought he had a chance/opportunity to take the win.
The Time Trial in TdF 2023 is one of 5he most disastrous moments in Cycling. Especially since Pogačar was at level beyond explainable. They brought back Lance Armstrongs “achievements” to life.
It wouldn't be a defeat, Vingegaard crashed and broke his shoulder blade, collar bone, 3 ribs, a punctured lung and blood in his lung, staying in the ICU for 12 days.
