NYC Subway: The Testing Process of R211A 4280-4284 (with 4285-4289)

Shown here is how an R211A set is prepared for service once it enters MTA property and is prepared in Coney Island & Pitkin Yards. The first clip is 4280-4284 heading to the Broad Channel test track to perform Speed and Brake Testing. The second clip is Simulated Stop Testing with the second part of the full consist 4285-4289. This is where the train acts as in service train by opening the doors on the opposite sides of all platforms to ensure announcements and other door functions can work properly along an entire route. The final clip is of the consist finally in service. Enjoy!
