This was very helpful, thank you. I still have one open question. When you open OneNote in your Teams Channel, do you know if there's a way to display the Sections and Pages menus by default without having to click on the 'book/library' icon first? If you know a solution, I'd love to see this video 🙂

Thank you! Great work around! Once the auto generated 'Notes' tab has been removed, do you know if there is a way to re-generate that specific view WITHOUT deleting the channel and re-creating it. For instance, I removed the auto generated tab/view from the channel but later decided that the auto generated tab/view would be more advantageous in a couple of the channels...can I duplicate that view without deleting the channel and rebuilding it??
Hi. I do not know of a way to auto-generate that view again. Adding the channel again is a good idea.

Not sure if it's because I'm looking at Teams a few months after your video, but I copied in an external notebook and created a tab and also tried opening a new tab onto the existing (default) notebook and neither of them allowed me to view sections.
HI. I just tested it again using both methods and it works for me, so I am not sure what is different for you. Check with your IT personnel incase there is a setting that has changed?
I just checked it on teams via the browser and it DOES WORK there. I had been testing it on the teams desktop app (pc) and it does NOT work there.
@@PeterBowers94 Mine worked in the desktop app. Not sure why the difference here for us?
We have the same problem here. We followed your instructions, but it doesn't show the sections via Teams.
@@vervoort87 I would have to see it to know what is happening. It works for me and all my tech is up to date. Sorry.
As of October 2024 this does not seem to work anymore. Not for new notebooks, not for reopening an existing notebook... 😞
I have tested this again today, and it works for me. Not sure what is happening on your end. I have created new notebooks from existing Teams, I have created new Teams and added notebooks - and each different way I do this I can still get the Sections to show. If you would like to go to my website and the contact page, book an appointment with me and show me what is happening for you. I'd like to see what the difference is. Thanks.
@@MissionComputers same for me. None of the workarounds available on the web can make those tabs appear. Might be related to the presence of private and/or shared channels in the Team.
