What a lovely apartment, calm and serene. I especially like the way the hanging clothes rod performs the function of both closet & room divider; everything has a place and everything in its place. Yes, we should always be kind to everyone; so true.
I really like her place, so airy, bright and natural. The brick wall and purple velvet sofa are my favorite elements. Glad she finds comfort in her apartment.
Trying not to judge the five people that gave this video a thumbs down. I love this space. The light really dances off of the decor. Also, she seems like such a beautiful soul. Sending love and positive vibes.
Her appartment is beautiful and so serene. I have Crohn's disease and get some of my meds through an IV; she has my full support and understanding! I also happen to love dachshunds too. I would have loved to know her, she looks like an amazing person! Thank you for this Appartment Therapy
What a cute place! so well-designed. Love the old brick wall exposure. Lots of light. The best part is how you divided the room with the hanging a clothes rack and bookshelf.
What a beautiful cozy, home you have, very nicely decorated the exposed brick is amazing, sorry about your colitis, I have chrons disease ,that's the small intestine, so I can really relate. Keep well, and thanks for sharing.
Your home is so beautiful. When you love yourself and your home it shows. Creating a safe warm inviting atmosphere is important to our health. Your beautiful you care and it shows. Many prayers for you. Thank-you for sharing.
Such a calming space. I agree that you don't know what someone is going through. I have Chron's disease and I look healthy on the outside. :) Blessings to you.
Hugs... I like what you said about bring kind. I always say that, too, for decades, I am 57, in remission from cancer. I am sending you good energy...hugs...
Love this place and love that she is Warrior against Chronic Illness. I battle SLE and have for 20 years now. Much Love. Great design and overall place
I believe in kindness first and always. You seem very kind, sometimes I think that people who go through bad stuff are more sensitive to the kindness factor. I hope you can get another of the doggies you love real soon. Enjoyed your video. 🌻
Love your apartment, and I so agree with you on having a safe place and restful place. I have kidney nd and liver disease and I look healthy. Thanks you for the video and sharing your story sometimes it feels lonely dealing with health issues. God bless
You are an incredibly beautiful and inspirational person! Thank you for sharing your space and your dreams with the world. My favorite part is your tribute to your fur companions - I can relate- I also have one. May happy memories warm your heart. ❤️🐕🐕
Sending you my heartfelt prayers. You encouraged me so much, as I am currently also facing severe health challenges. And you are so right, sometimes you look ok on the outside, and people make all kinds of assumptions. I wish you all good things.
Very cute apartment. Ye that chronic ulcerative colitis is hell to live with be careful with what you eat and keep a good emotional balance in your life. God Bless You.
Hello! This is Hayley from the video! I am just finding this on video UA-cam three years later (I had only watched in at the AT site before). Thank you all for so many heartwarming comments and prayers for health. How beautiful to read all of these so many years later. I wanted to address a couple things in comments that the video fails to mention or go into. 1. Yes, this apartment is really big for Brooklyn, but it is a shared space: I had two other roommates during the 6.5 years I lived there. I paid between $700-750/month during those years, which is pretty much unheard of for such a large space. It was basically a "studio" but with a shared bathroom and kitchen. 2. The video fails to address my privilege of race and class in order to put my illness into a more appropriate context. I am able to work on art and design my apartment because I am white and from a middle/upper class background. I have a Master's degree in Urban Planning and work as an urban planner, so yes, I have a good job with good healthcare that takes care of me and allows me to afford my medications. However I do have a ton of student loans still!! 3. My privilege has allowed me to help others. I run an arts collective for disabled and chronically ill artists: Lutte Collective @luttecollective / www.luttecollective.com - feel free to check it out! 4. You can follow me or read more about my art on instagram: @hayleycranberry or hayleycranberry.com
Hi Hayley.. i have a severe form of Fibromyalgia and a painful blood disorder.. ive been sick for 21 years (im 50 yo and got sick thru blood transfusions qfter delivering my son.) I live in a house, but my master suite is my safe and comforting space and i love it.. i spend a lot if time resting here over the years.. i have a crafting and pen pal area.. Btw i love urban planning - i was a civil engineer who did site design.. until i went on disability in 2006. I tgen became a SAHM.. i love it.. i hope you are able to work many more years.. and i hope you are happy and comfortable wherever you live now.. ❤
Después de los años vuelvo a ver este vídeo y su casa sigue pareciéndome preciosa.Me pregunto cómo será ahora? #apartamenttherapy no estaría mal visitar alguna de estas casas y ver su evolución.☺️
love her message, I myself suffer from an "invisible" autoimmune disease and I find having a safe, warm, and peaceful space to live in makes all of the difference. Also what's with the finger in the pot?
All my best to you. You seem to be a sweet young lady with a very nice apartment. But doesn’t the sun wake you up in the mornings before you’re ready to get up? Love your Monstera.
Lovely except the clothes showing. I would install sheer courtain to let the light through without showing all those hangers. Looks cluttered. Be well, live long and prosper
What a fucking stupid comment made from your health privilege.... do you even know what it is to be chronically ill? I would live in the streets if I could be healthy in return. Uuuugh, some people.
Dude, what in the serious fuck? That's like saying that because someone is a millionaire, they shouldn't complain about having cancer. Fuck your worthless degrees. You probably still couldn't afford this, even with them.
Once more, proof that having a degree does not mean you will have any grace or empathy or class. With that attitude, I would say it would take a miracle for you to be successful no matter how many degrees you have. Empathy, sociability, getting along with others, teamwork, go a long, long way in your search for success. BTW she lives in a one room apartment in a small building. This, where she actually lives is not one full house, dumb ass. Didn't you notice her living room and bedroom are separated by her clothes rack hanging from the ceiling?
Seems like she’s making the most out of life in spite of her condition, and that she’s got a great support network. That’s the best part ❤️
Beautiful apartment. I wish the owner a long and happy life. She seems such and interesting and kind-hearted person.

I live in NYC, people usually give thumbs down, because they don't understand why New Yorkers pay so much for smaller spaces..they are bewildered..😊
@@bambinyclady It's the perfect place for a young single person, or a couple.
Kadiyah Lodge, I cant believe I’m just looking at this video and realized we use to work together. You’re right this is pretty nice space.
same here her home is warm and cozy, she seems so sweet and honest
This is one of my favourite places on this channel, I keep coming back to it for inspiration.
Sending you positive and healing thoughts.

Haley!!!! My son and daughter in law are BOTH urban planners. Cool
Clever way to divide the space, small narrow bookcase and the hanging clothes rack.Love it.

I’ve got Crohns and whew I relate! i think personally constantly decorating my room can give me a sense of control with such a restrictive illness.
May you continue to be well, successful and joyous!

Loved it! Really cute!!! Your surroundings are important to your mood. Enjoy!!!
Like the apartment, especially the dark blue velvet couch, I'm getting one similar, also like the plants.
Very nice space. I think more often illness are invisible to the naked eye and that is why we should not be judgmental.
Bless you sweetheart such a beautiful HomeSweetHome ❤🙏
Great home, I currently in midst of transitioning my home into a healing space to.
I love her place and that couch is the truth 💙

This apartment is a dream😍 one day!!
love the open concept of the apartment
Be kind and compassionate. That's it. That's the comment.
I love your home.☺💝

Lol..i had to go back to see what you were talking about. 😂Finger in the pot. So..she's got a sense of humor. 🌺😂
Would love to know what the rent is on a space like this 😊
Beautiful apartment!
I like your style
Sweet apartment! Great job! Extra love for you.
I like the house. I just wonder if it is possible for her to have a tiny closet for the clothes hanging near the bookshelf.
Fo sure..we don’t know what people are dealing with. Compassion is key.
That finger at 1:45 freaked me out
Beautiful apartment. Praying for your complete healing in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
I have a standard wirehair dachshund

TIL I've been pronouncing daschunds wrong

Was that a severed finger in that pot

The parts that I find most interesting like the kitchen and bathroom spaces are neglected in favor of a lot of personal information.
Taking care of a plant doesn't compare to taking care of a person or a animal! 🤨
too tiny!
BS
Nice house.. Dirty socks. Sooo maybe mopping time?
Haha! I think that my white socks were just stained a bit! -Hayley
When I was her age I couldn`t afford such an house although I have my degrees. So she should not complain about her illness.
