Yeah... I feel like One Piece should be really careful with how it uses clones. Would really dampen the story if it was possible to manufacture Yonko level fighters from a lab.
I definitely agree the twin seems more interesting then the clone. We’ve seen through stussy how clones are their own person and just follow their orders. A twin would open so much character writing for shanks and his family. The parallel between twins growing up in different worlds one following the sun (nika) the other following the moon (garling)
I'm suspicious the garlings are either blood related or blood copies of the pirate joyboy that were started as a project way back in the ancient kingdom era, probably as something similar to the current seraphim s-clones, but with classic red blood like we see with Germa. Introducing replicas with Joyboy's face and similar haki in a battle? That could easily have been a tool to flip the sides of joyboy's crew (like whatever zunisha did). If not, Shanks & Stabs still might be Garling clones because he's the CD's goat. Or that family has the strongest genes we've seen so far in the series.
I’m glad you made the video that you had mentioned! It seems the rest of the community is on the same page as me: no more clones! (Unless Oda puts a cap on it by letting us know the actual number of people that are clones whether successful or “failures”)
Im going to just say it and call it a prediction. Garling was one who gave Whitebeard his scars and thus Shanks have Whitebeard the chills. This character is not a twin. Its either a clone of young Garling or Shanks himself. The evil twin idea is shitty writing and a tyipical trope used in story writing. Oda is better than that to pull a stupid twin out of his ass. He will shock the world and people will be in denial by the end of the arc when we truley find out who it is.
He’s not pulling it out his ass it’s been setup for a long time and the twin trope actually has alot of potential in this case coz it’s going to take a look on the parallels between these brothers and how they were raised led to their lives. A clone would be bad coz their completely different people like stussy for example that’s less interesting
@odysseusdadon1234 it's the most common trope that's overly used in story writing. We dont need parallel bullshit to see that being raised under the world government is fucked. Oda is going to ruin the story if the twin theory is real.
@ not at all I like it and most of the fandom does too. It doesn’t ruin the story at all. Just watch how oda cooks with this coz he’s been planning it for a while. The god valley incident, why shanks didn’t go after one piece all these mysteries in the story will be revealed
@@xploringangel Cap, you cant write something without tropes, tropes are everywhere. A show is a mixture of tropes. It's not about what trope you use but how you use it.
I think it’s interesting that S-Croc has Crocodile’s scar. It appears this other Shanks does not have the trademark eye scar. This could further prove your point
I personally think a lot of the aesthetics with the Seraphim are just stylish choices made by the Vegapunks, like their clothes and weapons. Not sure which of the Punks decided to have fun with designing them lol
For him to be a clone Vegapunk or other MAD needed to have Shanks's dna. Unless the WG gave them shanks's dna when shanks was still a baby, which I highly doubt it, there's no way that the shanks look alike is clone
Well if they were doing cloning for evil shanks they have the DNA of both of shanks parents on hand and thus would be able to do a guessing game till you get the right baby
It’s possible that it could be either. But, a clone is most likely the best explanation. Firstly, clones don’t have to be babies. Secondly, Shanks is one of the most powerful characters in the series. Thirdly, the World Government had the technology to clone people. They hired Vegapunk because he was so far ahead of his time. Also, it’s likely that this clone was created during the timeskip by using Vegapunk’s research or it might have even been created by Vegapunk. What point is their in giving Shanks a brother? It wouldn’t really help the story. Shanks having a clone who works for the gov makes more sense because it makes the antagonists appear more mysterious and threatening which is what the story needs.
Tbf, could still be Garling's clone I suppose
Garling doesn’t have red hair
@mattc4266 his younger version did
@@bubbles583blonde hair
One piece is so different now. We went from 5 guys fights fish people to clones. It’s kinda crazy.
its always been crazy
We have cities on the moon and space pirates since Skypia
if it’s a clone that would be a repetitive gag we have too many clones already
Yeah... I feel like One Piece should be really careful with how it uses clones. Would really dampen the story if it was possible to manufacture Yonko level fighters from a lab.
If I remember correctly Garling before the hunt on God Valley began he said "pay attention *children",* and we know shanks was there
The only other thing I can think of that the children could be referring to is the holy nights being rookies but not sure that makes much sense.
