It is truly fitting that it's Superboy Prime that would be able to defeat the Batman Who Laughs. The entire reason that Superman would ever lose to Batman is only because Superman is too much of a boyscout and having a kryptonite weakness. Superboy Prime is not a boyscout, and he lacks a kryptonite weakness. He's the one Superman that NO Batman could EVER defeat.
When you realize Superboy-prime was always meant to of been the hero of earth prime but due to the crisis and Alexander using him as his lapdog and him seeing himself as a victim only made it bad
"Good is good in the final hour, in the deepest pit, without hope, without witness, without reward." A quote from Doctor Who that I believe applies perfectly to Superboy Prime.
Prime punches can alter or shatter realities. Not to mention he withstood a universe destruction blast in point blank range in the past. He's a silver age Kryptonian. Im surprised noone figured out it was Superboy Prime. I mean who could have done it out of all people? The boy so powerful he alters reality with his punches? Nah must be someone else, i wonder who.
Interesting tidbit, Prime is laying in almost the exact same pose as Superman when he died vs Doomsday. A bit of tribute, a way to say 'Yes. For all his faults, he died a hero.'
So basically: Superboy is redeemed by a dog he tried to kill a few times, goes and fights the main bad guy, kicks his ass (sort of), and is stopped from becoming a villain again by the same dog, and then becomes an unknown hero of this war by giving everyone a fighting chance, but sacrificing himself in the process. 7:43 It's strange how TBWL seems indifferent to Krypto's presence, almost as if he can't even consider a dog dressed in a goofy red cape as anything remotely resembling a threat. In TBWL's eyes, he'd probably just appear as a ridiculous little creature from a ridiculous little Silver Age reality. And he'd be right. Krypto _doesn't_ pose any threat to TBWL. It's what Krypto brings out of Superboy-Prime at a pivotal moment that turns the tide.
There are scans of krypto biting and making superboy prime bleed, he's literally superman level so he definitely posed some level of threat if only a small percentage.

So, what I gather is, the Batman Who Laughs became some sort of dark god-being, turned 52 parallel Earths evil, and used them to attack the mainline Earth, so they gathered a multiversal army of defenders of all stripes for a climactic final battle. And during this final showdown, Superboy Prime graduates to Superman Prime, sacrifices his life and his dreams to kill a god and restore what that god set wrong, and he will never be remembered for it in the comic multiverse, but his selfless act sent him to his home, his parents, and his girlfriend, with his powers intact, and they love him. ... That's a fucking awesome way to end the Batman Who Laughs arc, and finally resolve the snarl that is Superboy Prime.
@@santiagodiaz1879 Tbf, I think what happened here was some cosmic fuckery. Superboy Prime tried to kill BWL and died in the process, temporarily disrupting or damaging BWL long enough for the rest of the heroes to get their shit together, but from how BWL and Wonder Woman have their final battle, from what I remember at least, BWL did some reality shenanigans to reverse some of what Prime did. Not enough to change things, but enough so that no one would notice any of what went on after the fact. Way I see it, BWL wants evil to reign, so the heroes seeing a once thought irredeemable monster die a hero’s death would go against his plan. Does it make sense, course not - but beings on BWL’s level don’t give a fuck about linear time and reality, but Prime’s actions still mattered and they still helped win the day. It’s why he got his happy ending after all that, on his own world with his parents and his love, Laurie, where they all love him as the kind and hopeful boy he was, not the monster he lived as for years. He even managed to keep his powers, so he finally has a chance to be the hero he always dreamed of. Joker said all it takes was one bad day to turn a good man bad and he’s right, but he missed something when he said that: all it takes is one good deed to turn a bad man good. The evil Prime committed can never be undone, but he earned his happy ending and what is clear now is his own second chance at life, the way it was meant to be before he lost his world. It’s up to him now not to fuck it up, which is kind of the whole deal with second chances.
To everyone saying that Superboy Prime is weak. Just to point out. Superboy Prime has consistent fought on par with at least universal level beings like Ion and Monarch. He has taken on the entire Justice League and all of Earth's superheroes at the same time on multiple occasions. Even the Green Lanterns Guardians had a tough time against him. He was heavily nerfed in the fight against Captain Marvel and Black Adam due to extremely bad writing. But otherwise Superboy Prime's power level has been pretty consistent.
He only got stronger since then, the reason he lost against black adam and shazam was because he was under red sun exposure for a very long time and recently escaped finally when he fought shazam and adam.
In the end he proved he was a Superman. I heard it said a hero is someone who bares the loss so others don't have to. Over and over again Superboy Prime lost his world and any hope of seeing it again. The problem was he even after it was gone he just kept clinging to it. But in that final moment he embraced what it really is to be a hero, not to be loved for your great deeds but to let go of your own desires to make sure evil does not win.
Im 30 plus so i grew up to superman and prime is cool im very happy they gave him a proper send off dude had reality shattering punches every single of those blows can kill a verse thats insane and died in the end as a superman should a savior

I think DC wanted to say goodbye to Prime by acknowledging him as the old Silver Age superman and gave him that separate bubble outside the current multiverse where he can sneeze out his solar systems and all.
I love this redemption arch. Not only did he die in the exact same position as Superman after fighting Doomsday but the S Prime carved into his chest isn't visible anymore.
Just so everyone knows... Prime didn't actually die... he just went home to Earth-Prime. Like he always does. He gave a little stinger line at the end where he was like "lol I'm not gone for good". But I really do feel like it's important to point out how ridiculously op this storyline made Prime. Like even more than before. I mean Darkest Knight literally had some of the power of the Great Darkness and a negative Multiverse Doctor Manhattan and Prime still beat his ass.
Superboy(man) - Prime was never an actually evil character, he was just a sad person who lost everything and made many bad choices in trying to get back what he lost. Every time he made a bad choice he just got buried in more and more guilt and the weight of it all kept him from trying to do things in any way other than pushing forward even if it was over the bodies of his former friends. He had so much guilt he could never say sorry and ask for help, as you can see with Connor, they had already made up their minds about him just like how he made up his mind about them. "Why won't they help me?" - Prime, "He is just a crazy murderer" - Everyone else.
I actually cried a bit with Krypto and Prime. It hits so close to home that i saw me as prime. When you're so misunderstood that everyone around you loses faith, but usually something as innocent and simple as a pup can see past what everyone else is too blind to see past. Is enough to change your whole outlook on life
Superboy prime, the most hated one. I know Who laughs is not gonna be a challenge for him. But man.... That ending was sad. Superboy prime now is my 1 favorite superman.
So it is now that he is laid to rest a noble sacrifice that no one know he made the ultimate tragedy a forgotten hero. He may have more misses then hits in his tenure in comics I am in a minority opinion about like Prime. His origin is racked with unexpected tragedy learning that he is indeed his childhood idol only mere moments later having his life and loved ones ripped away from them forever wanting some semblance of them back. He saved the multiverse before but no one knew it and being 16 at most at the time just got to sit back and watch to see the other hero's get the happy ending that he thinks he deserved something snapped that day. Theres a lot of significance in his villain name SuperBOY prime even though his like 20 by this point originally just a stand in for Superboy classic in the original crisis its come to represent Primes psychological issues and tragedy that no matter how hard he tried he is not Superman his selfishness kept him petty and immature but here he finally moved past that letting go of his own dreams and desire to save everyone. He may have lived as Superboy but he died the person the Man he wanted to be. Goodbye Clark I don't know about others but I'll definitely miss you.
for something prime was always my favorite character. and it is also worth emphasizing that a dog in most cases gives you a chance to be a better person.
He always felt like the most human character in the comics and this is one of my favourite moments he has given up feels like everything is against him then krypto lifts up his paw

This was the best thing to come out of the entire dark multiverse, the true power of Superman Prime on full display fighting what is in effect an evil Dr. Manhattan.
This fight kinda backs up the claim that Superboy Prime has resistance to matter manipulation as I’m pretty sure many attacks that Batmanhattan was trying to use on him was intended to subatomically disperse him, it even has that special molecule type attack aura you see appear when beings like Molecule Man, Captain Atom, Regular Dr. Manhattan, and Sentry with void power use their matter manipulation. Most notably at 6:30 he’s goading Batmanhattan to try and kill him, in which we see him try to unleash some matter manipulation energy attack in his face point blank, we see SBP in pain but he clearly shrugs it off and shouts “kill me, I’ll kill you” meaning that attack he took was most definitely some attempt by Batmanhattan as a one shot molecular attack. Implying that SBP is somehow in a state beyond matter manipulation or this level of existence erasure at least. I’m certain higher level beings that are outerversal can most definitely erase him.
He's from our world where none of that stuff exists, same applies to magic. He's a Silver Age Kryptonian without the weaknesses, although he's more powerful though due to him being able to casually Retcon or shatter dimensions
Currently writing a novel about how being a hero is equal parts incredibly important and costly to oneself. One quote that I'm thinking of putting in that I think summarizes it fairly well is, "To be a hero is to be a fool, but it is to be a fool upon which the existence of the world will depend upon." With all that being considered, this video had me tearing up quite a bit near the end since I'm a sucker for thematic parallels.
He got isekaied, was the strongest, and became a hero. but wanted to go back so he tried to give it all up and failed. Until he finally redeemed himself here but nobody will ever know but that dog the ending for his story is great.

And he'd be right. Krypto _doesn't_ pose any threat to TBWL. It's what Krypto brings out of Superboy-Prime at a pivotal moment that turns the tide.
Well, also Batman likes dogs. That would include most of his evil versions.
There are scans of krypto biting and making superboy prime bleed, he's literally superman level so he definitely posed some level of threat if only a small percentage.
Prime was never a bad person, he was jus angry and confused. Seeing Krypto howl like that kinda made me sad. Even Superboy had man's best friend🦸♂️🐕🦺

Everything he did was to put back to what it used in his childhood, and hated everything that was different, so he lashed out at heroes of our generation, in a attempt to create the world of his choosing.
He was a lost boy who never got to put his powers to use in his own world, have his own adventures as a superhero. After all that, after Krypto showed him kindness, he did finally step into the role of a Superman. And after that, after his death, he's back home.

Well, BWL arc didnt even end, thing that i hate
Finally his redemption, we been waiting for decades
To everyone saying that Superboy Prime is weak. Just to point out.
Superboy Prime has consistent fought on par with at least universal level beings like Ion and Monarch. He has taken on the entire Justice League and all of Earth's superheroes at the same time on multiple occasions. Even the Green Lanterns Guardians had a tough time against him. He was heavily nerfed in the fight against Captain Marvel and Black Adam due to extremely bad writing. But otherwise Superboy Prime's power level has been pretty consistent.
Not to mention when he fought Ion he was weakned.
Superboy Prime is Multiversal+ so yeah he is pretty fucking strong
He only got stronger since then, the reason he lost against black adam and shazam was because he was under red sun exposure for a very long time and recently escaped finally when he fought shazam and adam.

Battard crying in corner
Superboy(man) - Prime was never an actually evil character, he was just a sad person who lost everything and made many bad choices in trying to get back what he lost. Every time he made a bad choice he just got buried in more and more guilt and the weight of it all kept him from trying to do things in any way other than pushing forward even if it was over the bodies of his former friends. He had so much guilt he could never say sorry and ask for help, as you can see with Connor, they had already made up their minds about him just like how he made up his mind about them. "Why won't they help me?" - Prime, "He is just a crazy murderer" - Everyone else.

This is your best upload seriously.
