I got my first Cricut in 2012 with the cartridge feature and wow have things changed. I just purchased the Cricut Maker 3 yesterday and immediately ran home to follow your videos. I will be using my Cricut to create my bridal DIYs and I’m happy to allow you into my home and workspace so I can be taught all the features and capabilities of this device. @@JenniferMaker Can I ask you a quick question? I did a search for how to erase part of an image or shape in design space and everything I find says to use the magic wand tools (magic wand, eraser, and crop). It says it is in the top left corner, but I can't find it anywhere in my design space. Am I missing something? I see it when I upload an image (before I put it on the canvas) - just like in one of your videos, but what if I'm designing something on my canvas and want to do it from there?

My Cricut joy was a surprise for Christmas so I don’t yet have all the things I need. I followed along and just used two pieces of vanilla colored card stock. I did resize thinking I had to for the joy. Somehow my yellow card color disappeared and o couldn’t change it back… didn’t figure it mattered but I obviously changed the cut function so mine drew the card and stars so I just cut it out!
You do not have to resize for it to fit on the Joy -- it is already sized to fit on the Joy. Try again... it's a great way to learn! Congratulations on the Joy!!

That is a good question. Do you have 2 Makers registered to your account? Mine were all different machines.

Jennifer, great videos, thank you. I have a question about using the 'more' pressure setting - using more pressure clearly ensures the cuts are good, are there any side effects such as damage to mats or backing?
Every machine can cut a little different. I do notice lines in my mat but they are not meant to last. They do need replacing because on the stickiness does fade.
The end project on all five cricuts was awesome. Question for the Cricut Joy once we select our joy will the dimensions of the card be automatically set or do I have to set it? Thanks, that was loads of fun.
Design Space will tell you if your cuts are too large. 😊🌻

Go back to settings to change it back.

If you want to make 4 duplicates of same front or back of card do you highlight and copy and paste? Do you need to change any settings?
You can just hit duplicate for what you have selected and it will be the same size.

just got the explore air 2, where can i get affordable vinyl for making stencils? what vinyl would you recommend, brand etc?
I mainly use Cricut vinyl. Siser is also good quality. You can go to your local craft stores, cricut.com or search the affiliate links of favorite finds. www.amazon.com/shop/influencer-c673d212
While in design space, I'm having problems knowing how to zoom in and out. You did this easily to see the design up close or further out. Can someone give me information on this? Thanks in advance.
On the bottom left corner you can find the zoom. Hover over it to zoom in or out.
Hi Jennifer. I have a Maker 3. I've been following your kickoff videos, which have been incredibly helpful. I have a problem, however, with accessing the 'contour' feature. It is always grey. I don't ever get the chance to use it, even when I follow your instructions.

This may not be where to ask this. But I’m about to attempt a shadow box for a very special family member who is graduating. I know the idea I want but I’m so nervous about how many flowers and the size they need to be for the shadow box. I want it to turn out so good. I have a 8x10 from Michaels. Please help. I need to know a good size to fill it and how many to roll. And I love love love your channel! You’ve helped me so much and that’s why I’m here now asking 😊
