Awesome pieces can’t wait for you to share your craft space with us. Uff my “designer mind” It was seeing so many beautiful decor and storage. I know everything is going to look gorgeous.
Thank you Maria : ) I am so excited to put everything together. I'm especially excited to display the beautiful purple denim pocket display piece in my new room : )
I have one of these. It was used in the military for bench stock. Those labels look like they are for screws: "tap" being the type, with the size of the screw. Bench stock was used in the AF to keep parts for aircraft repair. I know this because I spent over 30 years in, 20 on aircraft, ;) These things are awesome for storage. I painted mine a dark purple and use it for a bunch of small parts, etc.
I love these. I call the library or school card drawers. Love them also ...The shelving is awesome. You got some great buys. I understand completely how excited you are. I can’t wait to see all your updates on your craft rooms. The wood is gorgeous. I have to start looking on FB again to get repurpose items for when I move. Oh, btw.. Love your p.j. pants. Purple is my favorite color. Glad to see you again. I have to play catch up on your videos. I miss them. 😍
Yay another purple person lol : ) I have a few sets of the old library card catalogs. I'm switching up the items I'm going to keep in there. So it will be fun to reorganize all of my supplies. I'm so happy that you're enjoying my craft room videos. I will definitely keep them coming. Thank you again for watching and for leaving me such lovely comment : )
OMGosh how old and tatty and rusty are these 😍. I can't wait to see it all put together in your craft room when it's all done. I love the old and industrial look too. You have some amazing pieces here and I love the idea of the grain feeders being used as storage too. You have some amazing ideas and I'm enjoying watching what you collect to use. TFS xxBerne from the UK
Love those drawer units!!! Omg and Thank you for NOT PAINTING them!! Esp old beautiful wood pieces! It hurts my heart to see them all funky colored and (to me) ruined.. :) Yes, I have run into both types. The good home ones & the "just get this ugly, crappy thing out of my house. Lol I want to do this with my house, but my boys wont help me cuz they dont like it & dont want to redo it if & when it is theirs... probably going to sell and buy a cabin somewhere. Lol You can get clear (or tinted )varnish to brush on , in the places you can't reach to spray. I love this! I want to come play at your house! :)
Hi Sheila : ) I couldn't bring myself to paint these or my card catalogs sets that I have. I did mention in reply for another commentator but I do have an old hardware storage bin unit, sort of like the taller one in this video but a different shape. Anyways, it is an ugly brown with yellow on it and I don't care for those colors, so I will more than likely end up painting that one but it will stay as it is until I decide for sure. Your sons sound like my daughter lol. She has jokingly asked me how much she could get for all of my craft supplies after I'm gone lol. We laugh about it from time to time : ) Thanks for the tip regarding the brush on clear varnish. It might be more economical to do that. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave me such a kind and informative comment...I truly appreciate it : )
Hi, I just rediscovered your channel. Omg, we love the same things. My studio is full of old metal drawers and stuff like that. I also spray the inside with clear paint to stop the rust. I had a small stash of patinaed barn wood once. I saved it from the burn pile and told my husband to leave it alone. Well, my brother in law threw it in the burn pile. I'm still mad about it. I'm drooling over all your cool storage. How fun to find someone else who loves this stuff as much as I do. Cant wait to look at more of your videos. :) Diana.
What great finds! I wouldn't paint them or remove the really old stickers either. There's a rust inhibitor that you can get at the hardware store that you could wipe or brush on the rusty parts, but since they'll be in a dry area you probably won't need to go to that extreme. I think I'd leave part of the grain bins on the belt just for history of it. Your barn wood is great, too. Thanks for sharing these.
This is a wonderful cabinet I love the Used aged look to it, Love the shelve's Love the grain bins will be awesome on the walls for storage, It Is going to gorgeous.

Abby yes I’m moving to Waco. My daughter moved two years ago. I’ve been three times. Twice to Silos and the grand opening of Magnolia Table. You’ll have to go to the original store it’s reopened for sale items and slightly damaged. In my world it’s called distressed lol. Hope you have more good days than bad. Daily pain is no fun. So thankful for art. 🙏🏼❤️

Hi Eva : ) I really love the way they look as its part of the attraction for me, having them in their original state. Now I do have an ugly brown old hardware store parts shelving unit that I'm more than likely going to paint. Its brown and yellow....not my taste at all lol : ) Will you be close to where Chip & Joanna Gaines are? It is on my bucket list to go visit their silos. My hubby said that we'd have to rent a Uhaul for everything I'd want to buy lol. Safe travels to Texas when you make that move : )
Hi Judy...lol no worries...each person is going to do their thing with the items they purchase. I do have a vintage auto parts bin storage piece and it's an ugly chocolate brown so I will be painting that one for sure. Your magazine rack idea is brilliant. I would die for those drawers. But I would have to paint them. Sorry. With the grain feeders, I’d use one for a magazine rack.
