In the 90's Aqua were absolutely the kings of cheesy yet unforgettable pop songs that have all become classics. This was proof that they were much, much more than that. And listening to it in the second half of 2021, not only is this song still timeless and still one of my favourite songs ever from one of my favourite movies ever, it sparks a yearning in me to turn back time to the 90's when the world was a far better place.

It's sad, that Aqua didn't live up to their true potential. This song is an absolute evergreen. Beautiful voice of Lene and exquisite music of "Turn back time" prove, that it was a terrible choice of Aqua to make "cartoonesque", silly and not ambitious music. If they chose high quality pop instead of cheap disco, they would probably still be popular.

Heard this song on MTV... decided to buy the casette because of it. It was the summer of 97/98 (southamerica) . I was 15. Curious about this film. It was released with different name here so never found it. Yrs later, I was 23 we got the film thanks to internet. It was a full circle now, also the story was touching. I am 40 now everytime I think about love fantasies and memories of my youth this comes to my mind, after 2 decades. It is a powerful song.

It's sad, that Aqua didn't live up to their true potential. This song is an absolute evergreen. Beautiful voice of Lene and exquisite music of "Turn back time" prove, that it was a terrible choice of Aqua to make "cartoonesque", silly and not ambitious music. If they chose high quality pop instead of cheap disco, they would probably still be popular.

Heard this song on MTV... decided to buy the casette because of it. It was the summer of 97/98 (southamerica) . I was 15. Curious about this film. It was released with different name here so never found it. Yrs later, I was 23 we got the film thanks to internet. It was a full circle now, also the story was touching.

I saw them perform this song on TOTP with my school pals must of been 14 years old at the time. 90's were a great time to be teenager days before social media, you can be free and do stuff that no one would not known.
