I think it's brilliant, the microphone is really good and the quality looks decent enough. This competes with Logitech brio for half of the price. Do you know if the settings are saved on the Webcam? So for example if I uninstall the creative software, does it still keep the settings?
Not that I've noticed, I use it without the software and it won't remember the zoom in level when you press the button on the top, unfortunately I can't install the software on the machine I use it on so I can't tell if I can save it there.

You could have demonstrated the zoom feature. I would tweak the settings on any webcam, no problem. Great price!

What keeps it from falling off ? Is the hinge spring-loaded ?
Standard webcam fold out support, no spring on it but it's quite stable
Does it mean that there's no way to turn off auto white balance on mac?
I don't have a Mac but I've not seen any specific downloads for it so it might be the case

Yes
If that's the budget kind we're in tough shape. The image quality is just flat out not good.
