I have always loved this piece. It has always affected me emotionally even before I knew the history of the music. It turns out that my heritage is from this area; perhaps my DNA responds subconsciously. I usually listen to this music in a very quiet place with quality headphones and this is beautifully isolating. I am brought to tears just listening to these individual passages as they are being explained. I know I will enjoy every bit of this in a very special way. I may be saying too much, but you have provided a very special enjoyment, at least for me, so thank you very much, Kurt.
This was nice. I knew about the various parts of this piece, but I appreciate hearing certain parts being isolated to recognize how much thought was put into this piece. For instance, I got that the main Vltava theme represented water, but I didn’t pick up that the main theme was one wave, but the accompaniment was many smaller waves.
What a fantastic job of explanation. They should be done more often with pieces of a similar nature so that people can enjoy it more, and those being introduced to classical music can enjoy it more as well. Not to mention the romantic nature of this particular piece and it’s nationalism.
I applaud the charming conductor who explains this masterpiece so eloquently.
What a wonderful demonstration! Thank you so much Maestro Niemann and Qatar Philharmonic 🙏
And a big thank you to the kind uploader!

Music of the spheres. Magnificent.
