Who doesn’t like Tiff?
I like how rarely he says “umm” or “err”, he just knows what he’s going to say and presents the story to you perfectly.
I agree but don't you think you're a bit meticulous?
It's the difference between a pro and an amateur. A pro says what they have to and if they ramble a bit, they cut to some B roll and recover.
An amateur, cuts and hacks sentences together word by word if they have to. Doug DeMuro is a case in point.
He definitely needs to join the boys on The Grand Tour
@@NiTeHaWKnz I agree! They are both quite professional. But I will say in live speeches/conversation umms seem to indicate thought/thinking according to a couple studies. So dont worry if you feel like you're using them sometimes
the key is to talk slower
Tiff needell just comes across as a really decent and humble guy.
They say don't meet your hero's, but I met tiff last year and he was just the man I thought he'd be, one of the nicest guys I've ever had the chance to meet and speak to 👌🏻
Same here he drove me round thruxton in an M4. Lovely genuine guy and very charismatic.
Yeah, his genuine on camera persona seems like he's simply being himself. Where'd you meet him? Goodwood?
does it matter...? Tiff is nice guy...
He creeps me out, did he know Jimmy Saville?
I disagree.. But he was probably having an off day.. Spoke to my partner but completely ignored me. I do like him through a computer, TV or phone screen though.
Right before filming tiff removed the chav spec bodykit from the corsa.

Had a Renault clio m2 the sun roof used to pool water so in the moring I would get a free shower
All corsa’s leak from the brake servo, sealed to the bulkhead and it’s a pig to reseal effectively without removing it.
Tim Donlon. And also from the body control module cover seal. Ref the brake booster, remove as much trim as you can, makes it an easier job, done loads at our dealership, it should have been a recall to be honest.
Your correct I've seen a van been done and it is a big pain
Ive done the exact same on my corsa, its a common issue the footwell to fill up with water, ruined my carpet, so i cut out the carpet drilled a hole in the floor and glued down a new rubber mat down. didnt want to take apart half the car to fix it or pay someone to take apart half the car to fix it, so a stanley knife blade, a rubber mat and some gorrila glue, and a my electric drill had to do the job, worked great for a year and a half.
Tiff, my hero! My daily driver is my ultimate dreamcar; The 2001 Audi RS4 B5 Avant. In 2000, Tiff did a review on this car, and I ndever forget his face in the side mirror, saying: "This car does 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds. Sounds impressive? Let me show you!" And that review made me fall inlove with that machine ever since. I was dreaming about it for 15 years, and then I finally found one and bought one. Thanks Tiff!

Then watch "Love Cars" channel
Love Tiff. Such a professional. A little bummed he doesn't own any exotics, he definitely deserves more. If he was on Top Gear today, I'd definitely watch it.
On public roads I bet he would have more fun in that Corsa than any 'exotic'.
Financially it is actually a very sensible move not to own any "exotics' especially as he gets to drive and run so many as part of his job.
Would be kinda like buying yourself chocolates from Sainsbury's when you work at the Cadbury factory...
When you give top cars to test every week why bye look. Most racing drivers don't own supercars
@Reggie Cyde what?
He doesn't need any... he,s nothing to prove. If you know his history and pedigree that should be enough.
Tiff still has it.
I feel like I know him, watching him since the early 90s!!
Keep on delivering Tiff, so down to earth
I have a sneaky suspicion Tiff is "careful" when money is concerned !
Jaaaaaaaaaag driver. ;-)
No point buying new cars when in Tiff postion. He gets them weekly
in real mans words, a scrooooooge macduck !!
Money's in the house obviously. That's how to invest your money. Nice to see Tiff is a down to earth bloke as far as cars are concerned. Hammond has been doing some videos, but they're more like "look at all the cars I've got"
If I was Tiff I'd just drive cars sponsors leant me.
Can’t imagine the guys face at the scrap yard when tiff turns up asking if he has any scrap Corsa’s. Must of thought it was a hidden camera tv joke.
I'm pretty sure the dude give him a tricked out Vauxhall Astra VXR engine to fit in Tiff little Corsa.. ;0)
He sounded like he was keeping his voice down for the neighbours though I imagine they’re not in close proximity. Legend of a man with a down to earth collection of cars.
Love that he's modest, because let's be honest: we don't need new cars every couple of years!
If u change car every 2 years
U might buy a better car
If you want a different car every two years, just buy a $4000 used Toyota, drive it two years, and sell for $3500. New cars easily lose $10,000 - $30,000 value in two years.
@@questioner1596 in singapore a 10k pound car in uk cost 68k pound in singapore
@@DarkwearGT, it seems like you pay significantly higher tax to register your car (certificate of entitlement) than we do in Canada or they do in the UK.
I think the original point about not needing a new car every 2 years would apply even more so in Singapore. My point was that if you're easily bored of cars, frequently buying and selling used cars can be much more affordable than frequently buying a brand new one. Would it be the same for you in Singapore, do used cars hold their value better than new ones?
I only buy new cars as I can get the VAT back on them because I’m paralysed, I wouldn’t bother otherwise. Getting past that depreciation is the biggest thing.

I like his humbleness. I like the fact that he is got a replacement engine for the Corsa and still kept it, unlike the wasteful mentality of motorist these days, where cars are hurriedly scrapped at the first sight of a mechanical defect.
It's hard not to like Tiff, he has such a calm, easy going demeanor.
The ordinarily extraordinary guy. One can hope to be humble like him.

Petition for Tiff to take over Top Gear!
He'd still have the same problem he's had before, that while everyone likes Tiff, he's shoved in next to someone that makes most people switch the channel or program.
Tiff, Jonny, Chris. Honestly, I'd watch that.
Tiff, Mat Watson from Car Wow and Alex Kersten from Car Throttle. Perfect TG team. I suppose Chris Harris can stay too.
I second Alex but all three car throttle guys deserve a show. They should just keep doing car throttle :)
I don't think Tiff deserves to be shoved in a car sitcom where you have to make it look like you had an argument and then kissed and then decided everyone likes their own car in a challenge. Tiff for me is a proper car reviewer, Top Gear stopped being a review show since the relaunch by Mr Clarkson.
Tiff seems to be really proud, that all of the cars he has are petrol powered in this video.
Does anyone out there remember Tiff driving the McLaren F1 road car on Top Gear?
As much as i loved Clarkson, May and Hammond, Tiff's 1994 Mclaren F1 road test was the definitive Top Gear road test.

All the classic Top Gear guys obviously drink a lot. And over time, you can see it wearing them down. Tiff must abstain a lot. And probably eats a lot healthier than Clarkson. Hammond looks ok for a guy who drinks so much. And May, well, he's looked the same since 1925.

Great video. It's actually great to see how happy and healthy Tiff is - and how humble. They've got great value from the Corsa and X5. A barn full of exotic cars won't make you happy and probably clean you out financially. I do love Harry's Garage though. Would be great to see Tiff on the telly more - it's a shame that TV has got so ageist but great that UA-cam is a new platform for him.

I've only just found this. How i used to idolise this man on top gear, so much enthusiasm, so much genuine underplayed knowledge, a genuine racing driver AND an all round nice guy. He's the sort of guy you just want to give a big hug to, and then get thrown around the track. Followed by a pint
Tiff is a petrol guy. I mean all of his cars is petrol, even the X5 (that mostly diesel powered)

Bollocks to the daily cars Tiff, they just need to work, it's the house where the money has gone! What a beautiful property!
I completly agree with the lighweight, FWD, manual cars, my little 1.1 Saxo in zest yellow would pitch around corners on the outside wheel nicely, whilst maintaining about 5,000rpm, little joys. I equally love the thought of owning a large barge Merc at some point.
I completely Agree with you, real estate is something you should really invest in. My family has an old 2005 Nissan Sunny N16 sedan because we bought two houses in the span of just two years, and are living of the rent we receive from those properties as well as others. And it is really helping us out as businesses are closed due to lockdowns and such.
The Old Nissan doesn't need that much of a maintenance, just regular maintenance. The fuel economy has deteriorated over the years but reliabilty is what we really want. Just after 2-3 years, we get it touched up and such. We drive it to rough roads and such. Also carry a bunch of load when needed and it's doing pretty great.
And, if you blow the engine up in a cheap little hatchback, it's not a big deal because you can get a nice fun little car for a grand easily, and if you're willing to part out the old shitbox you can make most of your money back.
Tiff is such a treasure. I could listen to him talk about the most mundane cars for an endless amount of time. Protect this man at all costs.
Always liked Tiff over the years. Great Presenter
The most telling comments here are,
