- Actor Christian Bale gave "Extra's" Renee Bargh his reaction to 5-year-old Miles Scott aka Batkid as well as his thoughts on Ben Affleck being cast as the Dark Knight.

Respect for Bale. He turned down a 50 million dollar deal to keep and awesome trilogy untouched.

When he says "It was time to pass the Man (Batman) onto someone else." makes me miss him as Batman/Bruce Wayne. He really dominated that character better than anyone ever has.

Everybody gives Affleck so much shit for Daredevil. It's hard to perform well for a character who is badly written with a worse script. It's not all Ben Affleck's fault. Look at Affleck perform in Runner Runner, Argo, The Town, hell even Dogma. He is a good actor

Remember, people doubted both Christian Bale and Michael Keaton when they were announced that they were playing Batman/Bruce Wayne. And they proved to do a phenomenal job in their own way. I'm sure Affleck grew in his years behind the camera and has the chops. Let's see what he brings to the table

What he said about Batman being a symbol was the exact, EXACT reason I think he's one of the greatest actors of our time. He's so humble and seems so caring. He understands that Batman isn't just a character, its something far more greater than any movie or show or anything else for that matter.
