Very underrated actress. Yes she stutters and stammers and trails off her sentences and is awkward...but that's what people tend to do. It just means she's not phony.

The hair shows how dedicated she is to the movies she does. joan jett. and i lovvveee that about her. she could have done a wig. she dyed her hair blonde for another movie a long time ago too. i love the dedication. the make upand outfit is amazing! i have that whol shirt and blazer type thing.

Her hair and makeup is like this because she was in between filming 'The Runaways'. She basically had to self-project herself into her character, to live breathe and talk like Joan Jett. She had to portray Joan thru everyday life in order to get into the character.
I think this is an excellent film, with amazing music and a very god job of the actors, they do their work so profesionally. I loved this movie :D
I'm not a fan of Kristen Stewart, I think it's because she doesn't have many facial expressions when she acts (just my opinion) but I admire the fact that she has her own style and her own look. Such a refreshing change from all of the other celebs. =] Go Kristen!

i love her! okay to me, this seems like Kristen's best interview-like i mean, confidence wise. like she seems pretty confident and more...lively in this one. Like in some other interviews, she seems awkward. I think she's getting better! But whatever! I love Kristen!

Actually this is one of the best interviews I have seen of her..not only because of the interviewer but because of her.. she is stuttering a lot but she makes sense.. I think she usually gets very nervous and that's why you can't really understand what she means sometimes
i used to not like her in interviews because of her 'awkward' way of talking and thinking before she says something and the whole touching her hair and stuttering thing, but now i really love her for that. shes not all hollywood and i like that. it makes her seem so real i love her.

I have watched most of these interviews and I have noticed that no one seems to like this intervieviewer that much...
i don't get why people don't like her. she's down to earth, a good actress, and she's beautiful. I wish more actresses were like her.

Well, seeing as your the top comment, rapturous applause due, I didn't have to look far. To be honest I haven't seen any Twilights or any film she was in bar Adventureland where, according to the word of others, she is true to form acting wise. Bland, emotionless, yadda, yadda. I needed to see how she was in real life. Well, the real Kristen Stewart is devoid of any personality whatsoever and is another part of the unanserable puzzle to why Twilight is so popular.

It was 2009 when she cut her hair for the Runaways. She'd just wrapped up production on New Moon. I hope this helps.

@sammi0202 Just because she's "awkward" and occasionally stutters when she speaks, that doesn't mean that she in any way sounds uneducated. If you watch more interviews of her, you'll be able to recognize the fact that she actually possesses a highly extensive vocabulary; she's also able to clearly convey whatever she's saying during interviews. There is really no reason to be so critical of Kristen, especially when she sounds far more intelligent than basically any other actress her age.

Have to say I have respect for Kristen Stewart. She's very smart, and seems to think so well on her feet. Her answers here are eloquent and descriptive. I'd love to find a woman on her level both in terms of looks and wit.

Well it's slowly comming back. Right now she's got it dyed strawberry blonde for her next role in On the Road. It sounds like an interesting film and I'll definitely check that one out. I just saw The Runaways and she was awesome in it.
actually, she has chosen to be famous. no one knows who is goin to be a star but when you audition to a film like Twilight for example, there´s always a chance that soon the whole world is talking about you. and everyone who acts knows that. i´m sure she has passion for acting, but if she wouldn´t want to be famous, why not do theater? just wondering...
