    Hey buddy, loving the videos... a quick tip; it would be helpful for your viewers if you put all the products you use in each video in the description. Good luck with your channel! Respect

    Oh no! I think you accidentally use the CG brush on the caliper cover at 8:28...that sounds harsh because it has clear coat on it. Man you really made me nervous. Have you notice any fine scratches after it dry? Please let me know.

      Hi, No there are no scratches on it. As far as I'm aware the calipers are powder coated from the factory (it's not a cover, it's the caliper) as it's resistant to brake fluid and high temperatures, also the brush is soft enough to use on them.

    You should use jack stands for safety work.

      You should 👍, I don't know why I didn't, I must have forgotten for some reason.

    Why is your Ferrari brake rotor so rusty? is that normal?

    • @MySupercarLife
      @MySupercarLife  8 років тому

      Hi, Yes it's perfectly normal on any car. It's just surface rust that build up when you don't drive which gets scrubbed off when you brake. They look shiny after driving then turn like this the next day.

      Oh I see, thx for a fast reply. Im going to buy the CarPro Hydro2 to seal my wheels. But some ppl say don't spray on the Rotor? the Caliber is fine, just not the rotor. But if I accidentally spray on the Rotor, would it be ok? thx

      No problems. I did my Range Rover Sport a few weeks ago with the wheels still on the car and just sprayed the hydro2 on to the wheels then washed off. It would have gone on to the rotors and the car still stops like before. I think it would wear off the rotors quickly so I can't see it causing a problem. Might be worth sending an email to the guys at carpro, but personally I didn't have any issues with it.

    Love these videos you're putting out, such high quality videos and correct information. Glad to see a new youtube detailer in the scene. I'm about to winter prep my '16 Toyota Corolla.

      Thank you so much. I'll be uploading some more soon, just busy with work at the moment. Great idea doing the Corolla, if you start now whilst it's new it'll be in better condition in the future.

    What would you recommend for getting rid of salt from wheel arches and underbody. There's been a lot of salt on the roads lately and I sometimes wonder if washing it off actually washes the salt into all the seams etc.

    • @MySupercarLife
      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому

      It shouldn't wash it in to the seams to be honest as they are generally sealed from factory, but it's something I'd never though of and I can see you thinking. I would use a strong mix of APC (All Purpose Cleaner) to remove it, maybe even a wheel cleaner and stiff brush. If you're really concerned and have the equipment and skills then remove the wheels and use hot soapy water. This way the warm water will dissolve the salt crystals and residue that will be in the wheel arches. Rinse and scrub well, and it should all dissolve.

      Yeah I think you're right. Wheels off and plenty of soapy water. I've heard of people using white vinegar or Chlor-x to get rid of salt but I think they both may be quite harsh. Wheels are coming off next week to be refurbed so I'll get up under there with the brushes and soap. I just get fed up with my cars getting bubbly rust in the arches (I keep my cars for quite a while)

      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому

      Hmmmm I'd be wary like you about using those. Sounds like a plan! Wheels off brushes, soap, rubber gloves and expect to be cleaning dirty oily crap off yourself for days!
      I would recommend maybe spraying some stonechip like featured in the video in to the areas of concern, that should stop the paint from coming off and will stop the rust, plus if you get something with added waxoyl then it'll help prolong the water damage for longer. What car is it you have?

    Would you be able to send me a link of all the products you use? I use most of mine from autobrite but that jet seal looks good

      Sorry for the late reply mate, Just getting back to normal. Do you want a list of the ones in this vid, or a list of things in general. The Jet Seal is great. I've IPA stripped the whole car today and re-done it in Jet Seal. The gloss is better and it's so easy to use. Let me know what you want and I'll sort it for you.

      +My Supercar Life well I aim to prepare my white Volkswagen polo for winter so was wondering the best sealant and stuff in general and window cleaner as autobrites is fairly greasy and leaves marks, no worries about the reply
