Love the idea of a forum, and the vlogs are great, don’t mind seeing all the setbacks and not so great days. makes it seem much more authentic and real, can’t wait to see the space when it’s all finished

Don’t worry Lizzy we’ve all been there. Once I was having a bad week and the thing that pushed me over the edge was dropping a bottle of shampoo in Boots. The entire thing spilled all over the floor and my suede boots I had a full on meltdown in the aisle and one of the sales assistants took me into the break room to calm me down. I was so embarrassed after but I can laugh about it now & fully empathise with how you’re feeling.

I’m sorry you feel overwhelmed and sad at the moment. I really hope you can find a way to gain some clarity. Feeling sad is so understandable, life is weird, and your frustrations are valid, even if it’s often about “trivial” things there’s always more going on. Moving house is SO stressful always. From my perspective I encourage you to slow down and take the pressure off. The house doesn’t need to be perfect straight away. I know I don’t know you and you don’t know me from a bar of soap! But I can tell you’re so ambitious and disciplined but maybe you need to find ways to be kinder to yourself? You’re young and fabulous and your future is bright. Try not to get bogged down in the details (I say this because I do the same!) xxx

Oh Lizzy, do the forum. That would be really beneficial. Also, it is a good step in starting up your own "brand" . I adore your style and would be so supportive of you bringing out a range. The forum could allow all of us to discuss style, fashion, sustainability, quality of clothing. I would be interested anyway. All the best with it and the new web design! x

please don’t apologise for not being in a good mood at the time - when you’re not in a good headspace you can’t help the way you are naturally going to come across as you said “not sunshine and roses all the time” ☀️🌹
I think some viewers need to understand the way that you are vlogging at the moment is different to what they’re expecting from you bc you’re in an inbetween headspace and I don’t think it’s helpful for you to have to read negative feedback when you’re feeling that way! Although I understand everyone has a right to share their opinions - I just hope that you’re feeling better soon xxxx

LIzzy the real reason we love you is that you keep it real. We all have set backs, days when things just done go right for us. I have meltdowns too, and I'm not as young as you lol. Just keep it as it is, be who you are, and don't always try to be perfect. Be Lizzy xxxx

One of the best gifts my mom gave me when I moved out was a little tool box with the basics. I have built upon it as the years have gone by (thank you Ikea and other retailers who send furniture in bits) but it is invaluable when moving and furnishing/re-furnishing your place.

Ohhhh, those days when NOTHING seems to be going right and you get all excited about 1 thing that can redeem all the frustrations and you’ve been waiting what seems like forever for it and you anticipate how good it’s going to feel to accomplish it and then even THAT thing gets effed up. Tears, lots of them, understand it well. Hoping that Box #2 for the desk has since arrived and you’re having some fun working out your office.
I read your Italy blog post a couple days ago and immediately liked the collage layout-the post felt like looking at your personal scrapbook, really like that. I think a forum would be cool. They’re interactive and conversational compared to comments. I’d use it 😊🤓

Disqus is a really great option for blogs. Manrepeller/Intothegloss lots of other bigger blogs use it, and you have your own id and page to see all your comments and peoples replies etc. It encourages discussion, i basically don't comment on blogs unless its Disqus!

Yes!! And ideally with the video setting on so you have constant light like a torch. Maybe the necklace is stuck to the radiator, Lizzy - my earring fell down the other day and it stuck to the back of the radiator (inside) as apparently this is magnetic.... didn't know that before but that's why the earring didn't fall down all the way but got stuck at the top and I managed to get it out with my tweezers :) xx

For videos or maybe even a blog idea, what about like thoughts for the month - so like look back on favourites e.g. restaurant, thing you did, clothing items, moods, what you've learnt etc. or setting goals ahead e.g. this month want to take up running, go visit this place, sort wardrobe etc. If it was a video you could film little snippets of random things throughout the month or snippets of outfits or meals, in those times where you feel uninspired for vlogging or dont fancy vlogging. The way you were discussing about the blog, more scrapbooky/collection of thoughts style- don't know if it would work at all but just an idea!

Oh Lizzy, I hope you’re feeling better now. I cried today as I was watching your vlog and I feel the same way recently. Just not good always on the verge of hysterical cry. Nothing feels right. Today my freshly repaired washing machine leaked water and just the thought of the hustle to call the repairman and deal with it again got me over the edge and I just started bawling. And I know it’s a stupid thing but I couldn’t help it and stop the tears of frustration pouring out 😔

Hi Lizzy, there's no need to apologize for being upset/sad! ❤️ And I absolutely know what you mean with things tipping you over. I've been dealing with having no heating in my flat for all of October (it has to work by law from Oct. 1st) and every night I lay in bed being angry and upset even though I've sworn to myself to not let it get to me but it's easier said than being done when you're stuck with a cold flat. 🙄 I'm looking forward to seeing your office, I really enjoy your taste in interiors and how you always seem to have a vision when you make your choices!

Hi. I go to your blog occasionally for outfit and photography inspiration and my favorite type of posts of yours are the My Week In Film ones. I’m a visual person so I prefer just looking at the photos and I’ll usually not read the text. I like when you write on top of the photos because then it’s just short and all there to look at. I’m really excited about this new grid layout that you’re doing, I definitely prefer this in websites/tumblrs. Yeah just wanted to give my 2 cents lol. Also! Yes to the forum! That’s a great idea. Man repeller kind of have a forum type thing going on in there comments and it’s really fun and interesting.

You’ll have to remember your pictures as Mias (Me, Linds, Laura & S - I have the worst baby brain so can’t remember her name now!) Totally know what you mean about the little things causing an emotional meltdown, completely normal - I do this too & then when I retell the story I realise how trivial things sound but when you’re in that moment and having a rubbish time everything seems much worse. Great enjoyable vlog as always & total diy envy of your desk efforts (I’m terrible at that kind of thing) can’t wait to see it up and completed x

Would you do a testing basics series on wool jumpers Lizzy? I watched your other jumper related testing basics, but was wondering if you'd do specifically one on wool jumpers? Every autumn/winter I wonder if I should invest in an expensive wool jumper yet when I go shopping, I personally cannot tell much of a difference between a cheaper and a more expensive wool jumper. If you'd test it out, that'd be so great. Also, I was wondering, if it's possible that would you space out the price of the items more evenly? I know that it is probably a cost thing and that it gets expensive, I'm personally more curious to see a true range in terms of cost, rather than 3 or 4 lower end/high street ones and 1/2 very expensive ones, the jump in between is quite great. I can already guess that the ones from the high street are similar in quality, with & other stories being slightly nicer than the rest. I'm more curious if you went contemporary/mid-range designer then slowly towards high end designer, how the item performs

You could try some magic tape on the drawings in frames. Might still be able to see it slightly but worth a try. Or you could use repositionable spray mount, so you wouldn't have anything visible in any corners or anywhere at all. I'm sure you'd be able to clean it off the glass with something if you ever wanted to use the frames for something else.

I would try a metal/ wire hanger or a skinny piece of stein wire to thread down to hook the necklace. You may need to have a second person assist while one of you lies on the floor shining a flashlight from phone up to help navigate the person with the hanger. Ditto on the vlogs. Showing your vulnerability is real life. Even though we are all miles and some of us , countries apart it’s a collective of friends who care and send heartfelt advice and virtual hugs your way.

The smallest thing can tip me over the edge when I'm hormonal. It's a horrible feeling like I drop a bag of rice and then I start crying with no control and feeling like my life is crap. And then I look at my menstrual app and I see that it's almost that time of the month. I don't know if anybody else gets this micro depressions with PMS or if your feeling of being sad has nothing to do with hormones. But for me knowing that it's a scientific reason helps me a little bit with rationalizing this feeling and not being hard on myself for having this breakdowns.
