A phenomenal reel. You can do either or. BFS or power BFS. I used it heavily last year and still holding up. Using the deep spool with 10 pound flouro for ned rigs on a medium rod.
I got the twin spool version, 7.1 speed and I've enjoyed it so far. Very smooth retrieve. I've only used the deep spool and have enjoyed tossing jerkbaits and small swimbaits on it for bass. I intend to try the shallow spool before too long. Not sure how long it will last, but the low weight, extra spool, and smoothness make it a great deal so far. I think I paid around $65
I've got the earliest variant of this reel as well, known as the Dark Wolf Ultra, and it's 2.5 years old. no issues. And like you, I've mostly used the deep spool as well. Really good, budget friendly design.
Amazing reel for the price. Very smooth and has good cast with 1.6-1.8+ gr. I have kstng kestrel and ve2 but love Acura better for smooth rotation. I have two 7.1 and two 8.1 reels. 7.1 has 62-63 cm per rotation with 45m of the #0.8 braid and 8.1 has about 68 cm.
I managed to snag this from AliExpress at $30. It was such an awesome deal that I ended up buying a couple more. I have it paired with a Kingdom KingPro and it has been such a blast to fish with at my local ponds. Definitely my favorite budget BFS combo so far.
@@AaronHuntFishing just got this one and 1 other and havent tested. Gbc200 is other new. My others are both kastking, valiant eagle 2 and zepher. Love my valiant eagle for 3 gm up
Hey Aaron, I need the deep spool for the Doviello Acura Hicc-50 and can’t find customer service for the company anywhere. Searched Google, Amazon, etc. Any tips for contacting company? Thanks!
@@AaronHuntFishing you rock! Like an idjit I didn’t keep the spare larger spool in the box and so it now resides in some dark corner of my incredibly cluttered and disorganized tackle room, which serves as a metaphor for my life, basically. 🥹
I haven't tried the BMC, but I think the Acura is the better all around reel from what I've read. The BMC or "Brownie" is a little larger and heavier. So it's probably got a low limit of casting somewhere between 2 and 3 grams. The Accura can pretty easily get down around 1 gram. Adrian over at the Constant Angler has a great video on the BMC: ua-cam.com/video/5P3ZZjieEOM/v-deo.html
If you're regularly catching fish that can actually pull 20 lbs of drag I wouldn't expect the gears to last very long. I always cringe when I hear high drag numbers. Most baitcasters aren't built to handle that kind of force through the gears. It's pretty easy to damage them just by pulling out of a snag.

I'm definitely going to push the power BFS side on this and see how it does.
I’ve got a few bfs reels now but by far the Acura is the king of my collection it’s smooth and cast incredible 30yds easily 1/8
yes - definitely an amazing reel for the price.

100% agree. So far I'll take this over anything Kastking for sure.

Yeah - it's crazy how good of a value this seems to be, especially when on sale.
Really liking that reel and can't beat that price.
Yeah - that's why I had to try it out and give it some channel time. Appreciate the comment.
I weighed the shallow spool at 5.5grams with bearing on it. Really light
Overall a great budget reel. I don't think the deeper spool costs me much distarnce. It's pretty surprising.
Picked it up and was wondering what rod you recommend to pair with it?
I've been using Daiwa J-braid most of this year. Anything from 6# to 10# has been awesome. amzn.to/3QHpbs3
I have 4 bfs reels so far including this one.
What are the other three? How's this one stack up in your opinion?

Ignoring the deep spool, how would it compare to a Soloking BMC 100?

They "match" pretty well with the St Croix Mojo Trigon
Cool - thanks for sharing.
Bfs so addicting!! I own 6 bfs setups 😅
yes it is! I had at least 12 this spring, sold a few but adding others... :P
Another color option like black would have been nice.
The Dark Wolf Ultra is Matte gray... :P Like I said, i think all these reels are trying to stand out, but it's not always good.
@@AaronHuntFishing very true
If you put 4x7x2 or 4x7x1.8mm handle bearings instead of what is found in the handle it will spin like a pinwheel
Appreciate the tip.

Hai sir iwant this reel how to buy this reel in India
probably AliExpress is your best bet. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEVMnbv
This is not shipping in India
Amazon only has left hand models single spool and your talking $70
Sounds like the prices are changing then. But they often do. Aliexpress had it on sale last week for $27!
This one and dark wolf are all made by doyo
That's why they're called the clones. there's probably at least 6 different "brands" that sell a very similar reel.
Yeah 20lb drag x4 is 80lb line it would be geared for
Thats just nonsense
yep - i think it was just a conversion error. Math is hard.... ;P

I think it's a translation error. They took the Soloking pounds that had been converted from KG and then covnerted them again. That's my guess...
