This event didn’t actually take place 4 years ago, it happened millions of years ago. Light doesn’t get here instantly, you know. And by the time it does get here, the events that we see have already happened
@Omg Your Hairline Goes Way Back And the stars already merged and exploded a long time ago, it's just that it's so many light years away it takes a long time for us to actually see it. I'm guessing, because they said we will see the supernova in 2022 so that means it already happened so the light from the supernova is still travelling to earth😁
@@hotnidasianturi4494 Light is "really slow from that distance?" What does that even mean? In fact, the entire point of "the speed of light" is that its velocity is constant. So, no, the speed is the same at any distance. The event already happened, if it did, yes, but that says nothing whatever about the magnitude of the effects of the shockwave of said event. A supernova within our own galaxy could completely annihilate us with gamma rays. Easily. I haven't even looked into this particular thing yet though, so I don't know if there's merit to such a claim, but I'm certain we'd be well aware of any potential supernovae within the galactic radius. It would have to be at least near the galactic center, or on the other side of the galaxy, at the least, for it not to be a huge problem for us, were it to intersect with our swathe of space in any way.
Reanalysis of the data of this system in 2018 showed that they made a mistake in their predictions. It's likely that this system WON'T go supernova in 2022. Sorry guys. I'm as bummed out as you are.

2020: Coronavirus
2022: .. lets not talk about that
Its not gonna be that bad. The event already happend . Light is just really slow from that distance
Ok ill check my facts before i talk later
If u could travel with the speed of quantum entanglement ,u could barely see the Big bang theory on how our universe formed.
