Booker T Washington has been a historical figure within Black history and American history. Often touted against W.E.B. Du Bois, this book gives us details into early life and the creation of the illustrious Tuskegee Institute. As a historian, I finally dove into this book and gave an honest take on viewpoints and actions, especially for people who never read Up from Slavery. Join me as I review this historical book.
