Corrections:
You do not need an Adobe subscription to operate the Lightroom app, but having one will unlock the image sync through Adobe and a few niche functions like the healing brush.
The symbol at 0:20 should be a "greater than" symbol, NOT a "less than" symbol. The point I was trying to illustrate was that smartphones are advantageous over DSLRs in certain regards, such as size.
Smartphone photography is becoming increasingly relevant in this day and age, so I thought I would make a video about it. To start off this series, I unveilved what are in my opinion, the four best smartphone photography apps currently on the market. Also, I plan on creating a second channel for landscape photography, and I will reveal more details in my next video. If you have any other apps you would like to recommend, make sure to comment them below, and of course rate the video and feel free to share this with other smartphone photographers you know! Thanks for watching, everyone, and thank you for the continued support of my channel. I will continue to work hard to bring you the highest quality tutorial content on UA-cam.

Hey, guys. The next video will be a bit late, since I have finals this week and next week. It will be covering equivalent exposures, and I am hyped with how it is turning out! I hope you all can understand. Over winter break I should be pumping them out at the usual rate, maybe even faster, and I will be getting the landscape photography channel going.
Sutter speed is not Working in Phone 😪😓
man those are truly some great apps for smart phone photography
always love your insight! thanks for sharing this great content with us!
loved watching this!
Very informative. Waiting for the next channel ☺️
Hi Vincent, as always a lovely video, do you mind telling us which software you use to create these gorgeous animations? I have to say that they're extremely professional.
Great content and a great concise delivery that is enjoyable to view.
Thank for the feedback. What you said is exactly what I hope to accomplish with my videos, so I am glad you enjoyed the content and its delivery. Stay tuned for more soon.
Very helpful video. Keep it coming.......
You can also shoot full manual and RAW in Lightroom App, which is quiet convenient.
About to buy the pixel 3, so the timing is great for me .
great video, Treblinka to the apps would be nice, I know it would seems like they pay you and we can look them up ourself, still would be nice to try them directly from here
Nice job
superb job
Thanks!
great video thaks so much for the review. I realy appreciate reviews that show how the app works not just judging it.
I agree. Thanks for the feedback.
Its great and all this video was made but as a semi-pro photographer who uses a phone for digital work you should have mentioned Apps like Filmic Pro and Pro cam 6... and you don't need an adobe subscription to use adobes mobile app you only need it for sync and healing you just gave miss information there you should also have focused on the RAW format (.DNG) more since that's the most valuable thing you have on any camera.
Pro Cam 6 isn't cross-platform which is why I didn't include it. These were just the apps I found most useful to me, but I plan to write up an article that include more, like Filmic Pro. You are right about the Adobe subscription, and I updated the description to reflect that fact. Thanks for watching the video and for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Sometimes I make mistakes and it's important for people to point them out so I can correct them!
@@Apalapse Hay man if you want a full video on mobile photography / videography lets do a collab because i use apps like filmic pro in a production grade workflow and i treat my phone's like DSLR's. (also Apples API is something that needs to be talked about)
Please also make a astrophotgraphy guide from smartphone (maybe using nightcap for iphone).
Good idea!
Thanks ♥️
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Brilliant, thank you - Cheers #iSpike New sub and big like here. Take care everyone. Western Australia
Thanks!
Hey buddy!! There is no need to download retouch app.. the same function is available in Snapseed named Healing
Retouch has a more advanced algorithm. I believe it's a proprietary tool similar to content aware in Photoshop. But, if Snapseed does the job then yes, there is no need for Retouch.
The first two apps are a must the other two I say(no), there are better ones out there. Plus the ProShot app has a 3.4 rating and most of it is full of negative comments. These are just my thoughts. For the pro shot option, you can use the Moment app.
This is it chief 👀
lol
The less than sign does not coincide with the message at that exact time in the video.
Yeah, you're right. Whoops! Sometimes these things happen in editing :/ It was meant to be a greater than symbol, actually. Thanks for pointing this out.
Apalapse it’s still a great and helpful video!
Why not to use the healing feature in Snapseed instead of the paid touch retouch app
Mustafa Mamuwala touch retouch is a bit more intelligent than snapseed’s content aware fill. Having both is also beneficial in case one works and the other doesn’t.
should I install touchretouch while I have snapseed??? I mean can I remove objects in snapseed?
If snapseed works well for you already then probably not.
Toolwiz is also good
Wuts the best app?
I don't think there's one "best" app, although for me I personally use Lightroom the most.
Place make more smart phone photography stuff
I want to get my hands on the Pixel 4 and try out the astrophotography functions on that phone, but besides that specific topic I do want to do more with smartphone photography, since it is the majority of the camera market at this point.
Can you make long Exposure Video for Android any mobile ! Please i Request you 😪🥺
What kind of phone do you have? I might be able to better help you in the comments instead of in a dedicated video.
@@Apalapse Samsung Galaxy j8 ! 😞 Shutter speed Problem
@@karxnnn7 I think you might be able to adjust the shutter speed within the camera app itself: www.the-photography-blogger.com/samsung-s8-camera-pro-mode-manual-mode/#:~:text=The%20Samsung%20S8%20camera%20app,are%20shooting%20in%20complete%20darkness.
I would have also mentioned opencamera.sourceforge.io/, it's an open source camera app that exposes a lot of features and has some nice stuff built in.
Cool! I'll add that to my workflow.
Thanks you man. Lightroom app is really cool and I think it's one of the must-have tools on smartphone. Well, I know that some guys had problem with getting this awesome app from google play, you guys can install lightroom via apktovi. It's worth
I really enjoy Lightroom for my phone. It's a great app for editing photos on the go. I have never had problems installing it on iOS or Android. I'm glad you enjoyed this short photography app roundup and thanks for the feedback and the comment!
1.Snapseed
2.Adobe lightroom
3.Proshot
4.Touchretouch
Thanks!
🤓👍👏👏
Thanks!
Where's Photoshop Express😂
I might include that one in another video, but TouchRetouch takes care of some of Photoshop Express' functionality.
Don't waste your money on last one.... snapseed gives u same output
Interesting! I'll have to compare the two because I know Retouch has a proprietary algorithm they use that is super good.
🤤🤤🤤🤤
These are photo editing apps, not photography apps
ProShot takes photos... I would also argue that photography also includes photo processing. Every photo taken on a smartphone is edited anyways since the phone itself applies its own RAW processing.
It’s not the best apps, it just your personal choice, lots of misleading info...
There's no way to quantify "best." The "best" photography app to someone might mean the app with the most filters, and the "best" to another might be the app with the most adjustable camera functions. I found four apps that I thought would create a well-rounded smartphone photography experience with manual controls, professional editing features, and photoshop-like functions.
