Food for thought: Wendigo are not only associated with winter. They are also associated with greed and gluttony. They actually have a lot to do with cannibalism. The theme of greed and gluttony can be incorporated into the Wendigo by people capturing them being those who are power hungry. It makes sense to see them in Frosty’s army due to the winter theme, but less so under the control of others.
not related to the wendigos but i have a minitheory: if you look at the teaser image with celgar and frosty, frosty's crystals on his chest are drained/deactivated. if you look at an image of frosty from tower battles, his crystals are glowing. my theory is that frosty got defeated in tower battles, got revived by xenon somehow, but is out of his prime/a lot weaker. so celgar ended up taking frosty's place as the leader of his army and made a deal with xenon to take the crystals from the gda research base in order to bring back prime frosty. based off this i believe frosty is either going to make an appearance in ch2 as a cutscene or appear as a minor boss however weaker than celgar in his current state xenon might be trying to work with frosty's army in the first place to try and gain some allies considering she is running low on forces, and that frosty's army is most likely pretty op and would be willing to help her considering she helped them

This is a good theory but this counteracts it, the reason why frosty’s armies are coming to raid the GDA in the first place is to revive frosty, xenon never revived frosty, they need the crystals to revive frosty and this is why xenon was trying to raid the GDA for the crystals, she wants to revive general celgar gaining allies in form of frosty’s armies, general celgar will go raid the GDA with xenon and the armies to revive frosty, and xenon takes a huge win because she gets allies and the GDA will be destroyed as they are loyal to frosty, ofcourse we will end up defeating general celgar and win and xenon goes and cries.

One extra detail is that one of the calamity summons the "adversary" is oddly similar to a wendigo It doesn't have it in name but everything else like the animation and the model and even the horns are really similar to the wendigos but in a smaller size There is the possibility that it was just there to recycle animations or models since they dont do a lot anyways but yet it's an interesting detail

The difference is the Awakened were trying to turn people into twitching viles, which turned into wendigoes, which turned into maze guardians. Every other Wendigo is something natural. For grim's case, I imagine he just straight up took wendigoes from the Frost people, without going through the same intricate process as the Awakened

I got a mini theory so if Wendigo's actually came from the Frostland's then it would be possible that the larger Wendigo's we see aren't actually the original but the super buffed versions. You see, I think the Wendigo's original version were from the 2023 Winter event and then at a later date they were taken by the Engineer to create the Twitching Vile and then later the Cursed Wendigo as seen in TDX Bread. However that wouldn't explain why the larger and buffed Winter Wendigo's existed, it could be possible that the surviving Cursed Wendigo's rejoined Frosty and was somehow able to undo their curse or that the Twitching Vile and the normal Wendigo have a have a latent potential to evolve into greater beasts like into the new Winter Wendigo or the Cursed Wendigo and then eventually the Overseers and Maze Guardians.

Void is an elder god calamity is a faction of demons. Void was probably aware of their existence but then he died. The Calamity faction used the void's magic and powers he left behind to control the undead and also use magic like teleportation and corruption.
We have no clue what is going on with the gods. But The void is stated to be something that is almost completely alien. Likely not having ties with anything else in TDX. This would make sense because the developers would not want there to be too much of a connection between the two games. Calamity is likely one of the largest or strongest pantheons for (lack of better word). They are opposed to basically everyone. We don’t know much about Frosty, but they seem to be opposed to the GDA and possibly calamity. The relic are tree huggers, a.k.a. protectors or guardians of nature.
