This 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line shares the MQB platform alongside with the Volkswagen MK7 Golf's (GTI & Golf R), so with a good base, and without any hesitation... we get to work on it.

i did the same on skoda 1.4tsi with stage 4, so why pay more

How well does that trans hold power?
The TCU was tuned at the same time, this car was modified and tuned in May 2022
To this date, there has been no issues with the car or transmission.

No, different setup.
Is this a plug & play turbo or do you have to change a few stuff so it can fit on a 2018 Tiguan?
Utilizes factory actuator and bolts up to the factory manifold, it is a plug and play turbocharger.
So is this achievable with a 2020 SE R-Line?
Most likely not since the Tiguan r in Europe get the stronger gen3 engine from gti and golf r that can handle more power. The engines here in North America are the Gen 3b that are more efficient and can’t be brought to this state without having issues. A simple tune, cold air intake and bigger turbo inlet pipe will add some power to your Tiguan without breaking the bank.

No this is an AU car, pretty much the GTI drivetrain that we get.
@@_drewmin man lucky you 🤦♂️ we’re stuck with this ridiculous miller cycle engine in the Canadian Tiguans . What was even the point in making these 🤦♂️
@@Quik_SQ5 I meant we as in North America but yeah, we got totally shafted as per usual. I'd kill for even a 1.8 with a DSG, cause at least then we'd be able to swap for an is38 and 300+HP. Tragically huge downside to an otherwise great car, love my Tig.

162TSI has 162KW so more than 180HP, 220Hp is quoted
Sucks in canada we got tiguans with the shitty ea888 gen B , lacks power and tuning potential , or else it be in my driveway already , idk why they downgraded the tiguan , and even the new a3 with that gen b …
