She helped me with alot through her music from depression, low self esteem and bullying to even being suicidal at 17. Her music inspired me. I cried because it was surreal for me. When you finally meet someone that coached you through your struggles in life because you had no one else , it does make you feel emotional.

Yes Janet Jackson is an icon, BUT I don't understand why people cry over celebrities? It's great to love a celebrity, but crying over them and thinking they're not human is creepy to me. I have an issue with the word idol, too.
Depends on why they're crying. I cried when I met Mariah Carey last month at her show. She helped me with alot through her music from depression, low self esteem and bullying to even being suicidal at 17. Her music inspired me. I cried because it was surreal for me. When you finally meet someone that coached you through your struggles in life because you had no one else , it does make you feel emotional.
