GASLIGHT it’s also a safety feature if you’re not wearing gear. The body lubrication allows protection against asphalt during the event of a slide. If it’s raining, allow extra lubrication to compensate for the wet weather. Hope this helps!
Yeah it's quite easy to spot what should be lubricated (moving part), it would be useful to tell what kind of lubes will work (more than "lube your cable with some...cable lube") and which should be avoided for this purpose.
Modern cables are Teflon coated and don’t benefit from sliding oil down into them. Just makes a mess. Bikes made in the last 20 years have sealed bearings on the wheels and the swing arm. You’re not going to “grease” swing arm bearings frequently unless you’re willing to pull the bearing out and replace it with a new one. If you’re maintaining a 1975 CB something or other, by all means follow this video.
What do I use as lubrication when I replace both tires, mainly the tubes that hold the tire? Person before me did shet job in maintaining and I'm trying to treat her right. 03 Kawasaki 636.
I have a electric motorcycle and the tires get stocked completely if I don't use it for a while...?? Where exactly should I put lubrication and wich out should I use? Thanks
I always make sure I put oil on the brake pads before every journey I use sunflower oil sometimes and make sure I oiled the brakes good atleast 1 litre on each wheel, you don't know what an experience is when you want to stop : D
In my experience, one of the most overlooked lubrication points is the steering stem bearings. Also, most manufacturers use grease sparingly when assembling so it doesn't hurt to go over and lubricate everything if you're on a new bike.
Not even close. Cars still need oil changes, trans flushes, diff oil changes. CV joint, sway bar link, tie rod and ball joints all need to be greased regularly. There's so much more maintenance on a car that needs to be done, not many do it.
Are you really taking your complaint ridden life to UA-cam? You need so therapy brother and you definitely need a bike. It’ll help you stop being a victim.
Yes! More content like this.
You should do a series on how to revitalize an old bike that’s been sitting for a while. Asking for a friend.
I mostly like to make sure the rider is fully lubed up and prepared for the intense experience ahead.

Lube the Dude.. Yes
Thanks Lemmy, I'd totally forgotten about my swing arm bearing until you mentioned it. Great reminder video
Don't forget to add some grease to the axles when you reinstall a wheel
I lubed the throttle a tiny bit and should have done so a long time ago. Way more responsive and very quick to snap back now.

I never got that either.. could you use WD-40 to clean let dry and you l white lithium grease ? Just wondering 💭
@@smalltownguy76 Cheap chain lube should do the job. Keep pulling the knob until the old stuff are out and new stuff are in.
Quick. Concise. To the point.

What did he use to clean the kickstand ?
Super info, Lemster.
Is Bel Ray Waterproof Grease safe for brake pins?
Teflyon gas cables are not supposed to be lubed right?

where do you grease a 2000 road king
Great post you guys, mention frequency/miles when doing this:)
Cheers.
By frequent what do you mean ?

i just spray my whole bike with wd 40 it makes it look clean and shiny
This may be the wrong forum to ask but (what the hell), what’s the best product to use when cleaning the undercarriage grime? Anyone ?
It's funny how often a bike is described as "in perfect condition" yet never got a drop of lube outside the drivetrain
no axle?
If you close your eyes and listen, you’d swear Kermit The Frog was commentating this video.. 🤣
I was wondering if I should lubricate my ear rings ?
Lubricate the brake rotors
Lit. 🔥
You left out the triple trees....?
No gloves? Very helpful, thanks:)

The last thing you want to do is start messing with torqued components from the factory just to grease a new bike 😂
I would like to add: Dont lube your seats and foot pegs😅
You missed the chain 🤔
ashar rfz
He made a 17min video on that. "how to Clean and lube chain"
You forgot the rear suspension linkage points! Shame on you Lemmy! I'm appalled! I'm kidding. I like the plastic bag rubber band trick.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait...................... you guys lube more than just the chain?
They have a lot of time on their hands.
And vaseline, probably.
Don't forget to lubricate your brake discs!
[don't do this]
dude.... what about BOLTs/SCREWs? The most basic question: unanswered.
why is a TWO minute lesson over 3 minutes long?
Its actually under 3 minutes minus the intro and outro.
Damn, motorcycles require so much maintenance than cars do.

Think it's just that motorcycle riders care more as its their life on the line.
@@paulh7360 well maybe also because our motorcycles are like our babies... and a car is just... well ... a car 🤪
This is too much things to handle makes me not even wat a bike
