I tried it today but it seems to have issues in the bobbin winder section. After couple of stitches it jams which leaves a mess from underneath of the cloth and I have no idea what to do. The machine support the twin needle it’s even shown on the dials but nothing about it in manual and troubleshooting.
I can’t know for sure but things are usually solved by re-threading… I’d go back to the start… make sure the needle is properly seated in its holder… re-thread and do a test. If it’s still giving you a birds nest check the tension… too lose and it’ll tangle. If none of this works test with a regular needle to make sure it’s not the machine… hope you manage to master it soon.
@@TheUnpicker the machine is ok - I used it before tested stitches with single needle afterwards and there was no problem. Only with double needle as you mentioned there was that “bird nest” underneath.
If the needle is properly seated I’m at a loss to know why it’s not working… sorry… if you really want to get into trouble shooting it I’d take off the base plate of your machine and look at what’s happening as the needle is passing the bobbin hook… make sure both needles are passing the hook at the right time to pick up the threads but honestly without getting my hands on the machine I’m stumped…
I picked one up recently for 60p, if you have a machine it is very likely that you’ll be able to switch out your standard single needle for a twin needle, I recommend visiting your local fabric shop and asking there.
