All the interior filming was done on sound stage in California, the exterior shots like the house itself and grounds filming was done at the house in Texas
Too bad the folks at Southfork Ranch didn’t use the exact same wallpaper from the studio set of the Ewing’s foyer. It seems like they could’ve just asked the production team, who likely would’ve been overjoyed to share it.
I miss seeing Dallas every Friday night i miss the old cast members of Dallas
So lucky 30 yrs ago went to Southfork, could walk anywhere, drive up famous driveway etc..but no horse trails to take out a horse on.x

My family stayed two hours away from southfork ranch before they left for California I believe back in the 1940's

THEY never filmed in house! THEY FILMED IN CALIFORNIA!..
Yes! You absolute right ! Indoor in California in the studio ,some outdoor was in Texas ,like around the house .
It does show that the interior, which in no way resembles the TV Southfork, is an example that wealth does not buy good taste. It is hideous!
