Dear Brother, I tried your recipe of Javed style nihari at home yesterday with beef (3 kg) and bone marrow (1 kg). We just had it with kulchas in breakfast today. It had the best taste we could ever imagine. Texture was melting in the mouth and the beef was so soft and the flavours of all the ingrediants were inviting everyone towards itself. Very nice and a great effort. i have never tried Javed Nihari as lived in Rawalpindi, but that one does look like nihari and mouth watering, unlike other recipes you see on youtube. Surprisingly, hardly any restaurant here in UK knows how to cook Nihari, let alone proper nihari. Gotta try some day but 10 out of 10 for your hard work and sharing!!!

Awesome ! I did try your nihari before. I did buy each and every spice that you mention.. But I did one big blunder.. In last receipe you did say salt to taste.. As nihari need 7 glasses of water so my measurement for salt get over.. even though taste was awesome... In last nihari; 1-You put aata as you start cooking, 2-Peaces of meat was small. 3-Didnt dish out tarri before.. 4-We put tatetri 5-Ageeno moto Javed nihari taste way different from all the niharies in karachi, What I think they use less spices. coz they dont have that strong arroma for all the spices but few... I love javed nihari.. Even last time when i visit karachi on the flight day i went azizabad and eat Javed nihari with my father with aslee ghee ka tarka... Did you research on dehli yakhni zafrani pilao which is pure yellow and in white color..they use lot of longg. Thanks for all the hard work that you sumup in all your videos.. I know its a very delicate work... Let me know about the salth measurement with this proportion of meat that you mention..Allah aap ko healthy aur khushhh rakhay..

Thank you for your useful comments. In my first video Atta was added two times, because most of the commercial restaurants do that. But Javed does only once after they open the Daigh. After adding Aata cook it on 1/3 flame about 1.5 to 2 hours more or until Meat and Paththay can be split with a soft pressure of Metal spoon. Dish out is the most important in NIHARI eating. Agar aap is Nihari main Mirch Tez kar dain to yeh 100% javed Nihari ho gi. Dish out karne kay baad Piyaz ka Tadka laga dain to Mirch ki Heat normal ho jaayay gi.
I have tried your recipe that you posted earlier and was very impressed with the results. If you can kindly address one issue i will really appreciate that. I have to make around 45 pound of nehari. So in that quantity would the proportion of all these spices would be same or would it differ. And also i have to make the nehari in morning and serve around evening would you recommend that i should remove the meat as well so it won't break when i would reheat the gravy before serving? Walakum salam brother, 45 Lbs meat and 45 lbs bones, 45 lbs means 18 kg meat so for 18 kg meat spices will be 13 times while gravy will be 18 times based on 1 kg meat as in my Recipe card above

Ubaid Razi Bhai, Actually I used 4 kg meat, because that was for a party. But for common use for homes I used for 1 kg. and all ingredients are for 1 kg meat, one goat brain, and 4 Nalis.

Excellent instructions. Can you tell me if the nihari keeps boiling even at 1/3rd flame? Also, I think the quantity of Tez Patta/Bay Leaves needs to be decreased as it gave my nihari a bitter after taste. I had to scale back on the spices because even with the reduced spices, it was much more spicy than normal. I'll try again next week Insha Allah.
Khurram Tariq Actually you are right. I have to reduce my spice ratio also. Otherwise one day I will use only spices in Nahari. If you have a tight sealed lid then yes for your first question.

+Bread Master You are absolutely right. Did not pay attention. But you can add as much as you want. For an average plate, 3 Tbsp of Maghz and 3 Tbsp of Nali is normal.

Salam Bhai Jaan, Your time and efforts dedicated to sharing these authentic recipes are greatly appreciated. Most of your recipes are on the money and I am sure that these recipes are enjoyed by people around the world. Jisarat: HOWEVER, this particular one is way off. I grew up enjoying Javed, Sabri and Zahid's Nihari , taste which is unmatched and so exquisite hence remembered by my taste buds to this day. I unsuccessfully tried this particular recipe on many different occasions, in fact, this is the worst Nihari recipe I have ever tried. As mentioned before that being a Nihari enthusiast, I am always in search for something that could lead me as close to Sabri, Zahid, or Javed's Nihari as possible(none worked thus far :(. Humble suggestion: There is no room in Nihari for some of the ingredients that have been mentioned in this video presentation, such as Cinnamon in total, Coriander and small ilaich(in such quantity) and a few of the others along with suggested quantities. I will stop here, as I don't wish to start a debate, especially with regards to cooking in general which is not my forte, but Nihari in particular is something I know about a great deal of Muafi ki talab: I hope that you will gaze down from your lofty position and forgive this spec for the aforementioned criticism. Awesome ! I did try your nihari before. I did buy each and every spice that you mention.. But I did one big blunder..
In last receipe you did say salt to taste.. As nihari need 7 glasses of water so my measurement for salt get over.. even though taste was awesome...
In last nihari;
1-You put aata as you start cooking,
2-Peaces of meat was small.
3-Didnt dish out tarri before..
4-We put tatetri
5-Ageeno moto
Javed nihari taste way different from all the niharies in karachi, What I think they use less spices. coz they dont have that strong arroma for all the spices but few... I love javed nihari.. Even last time when i visit karachi on the flight day i went azizabad and eat Javed nihari with my father with aslee ghee ka tarka...
Did you research on dehli yakhni zafrani pilao which is pure yellow and in white color..they use lot of longg.

Thank you for your useful comments. In my first video Atta was added two times, because most of the commercial restaurants do that. But Javed does only once after they open the Daigh. After adding Aata cook it on 1/3 flame about 1.5 to 2 hours more or until Meat and Paththay can be split with a soft pressure of Metal spoon. Dish out is the most important in NIHARI eating. Agar aap is Nihari main Mirch Tez kar dain to yeh 100% javed Nihari ho gi. Dish out karne kay baad Piyaz ka Tadka laga dain to Mirch ki Heat normal ho jaayay gi.

I have to make around 45 pound of nehari. So in that quantity would the proportion of all these spices would be same or would it differ.
And also i have to make the nehari in morning and serve around evening would you recommend that i should remove the meat as well so it won't break when i would reheat the gravy before serving?

Walakum salam brother, 45 Lbs meat and 45 lbs bones, 45 lbs means 18 kg meat so for 18 kg meat spices will be 13 times while gravy will be 18 times based on 1 kg meat as in my Recipe card above

Excellent instructions. Can you tell me if the nihari keeps boiling even at 1/3rd flame? Also, I think the quantity of Tez Patta/Bay Leaves needs to be decreased as it gave my nihari a bitter after taste. I had to scale back on the spices because even with the reduced spices, it was much more spicy than normal. I'll try again next week Insha Allah.
Khurram Tariq Actually you are right. I have to reduce my spice ratio also. Otherwise one day I will use only spices in Nahari. If you have a tight sealed lid then yes for your first question.

+Bread Master You are absolutely right. Did not pay attention. But you can add as much as you want. For an average plate, 3 Tbsp of Maghz and 3 Tbsp of Nali is normal.

Most of your recipes are on the money and I am sure that these recipes are enjoyed by people around the world.

HOWEVER, this particular one is way off. I grew up enjoying Javed, Sabri and Zahid's Nihari , taste which is unmatched and so exquisite hence remembered by my taste buds to this day.
I unsuccessfully tried this particular recipe on many different occasions, in fact, this is the worst Nihari recipe I have ever tried. As mentioned before that being a Nihari enthusiast, I am always in search for something that could lead me as close to Sabri, Zahid, or Javed's Nihari as possible(none worked thus far :(.
Humble suggestion:
There is no room in Nihari for some of the ingredients that have been mentioned in this video presentation, such as Cinnamon in total, Coriander and small ilaich(in such quantity) and a few of the others along with suggested quantities. I will stop here, as I don't wish to start a debate, especially with regards to cooking in general which is not my forte, but Nihari in particular is something I know about a great deal of

I do not know that how you did cook this recipe at your end, BUTTTTTTT the procedure I shared and ingredients I revealed any body can make the same JAWAID Nahari easily.
