Checking this right before we're likely about to be gased in the field. Wish me luck

@nerds It got on in time and I'm still here lol

jesus christ his hands are ashy asf
They gave him gloves.... cheap bastards
Don't forget to close your eyes and hold your breath while doing this.
This is quite protective to your face.
What if you wear glasses?
Usually you just take them off. Some masks have prescription lenses available, and others have fittings to clip on prescription inserts/outserts, but both of these are a bit of a faff to deal with. A couple of masks have pockets in the sides to accommodate the arms of properly-shaped glasses frames, but these are rare. This is part of the reason for the US Army's vision requirements; if your vision is poor enough that taking off your glasses hampers you in an emergency, you're better off someplace where you're not likely to ever need a gas mask (or ballistic eyewear for that matter).
Whatever you do, do NOT wear contacts under a gas mask. The air coming out of the filter is extremely dry, and could potentially ruin your lenses or even cause eye issues.

Jonathan Hughes thanks good to know

So how does the dry air damage your eyes exactly?
@@crow9149 It can cause your contacts to irritate your eyes, which is not great if you actually need to see.
No hoods anymore?
There are still hoods that attach to the mask like an overlay.
Hoods are attached to the jacket
WTF THATS SMITH
Theres 2 this gas mask 1 of them is airsoft and 1 of them is real i don't really gonna buy that
Nope, these are real M50 respirators. Airsofters sometimes use real milsurp masks, which might be why you're confused.
Dont get the clone you dont actually breath through them like proper mask and they are plastic not rubber
@@yetanother9127 nah bruh, they are correct. There’s a fake replica out there for airsoft only. It’s made of plastic and the prop filters have fans built in
@@domp5014 I'm aware that replicas exist, but the masks shown in the video are entirely real.
@@yetanother9127 well yeah, but the OP wasn’t referring exactly to the vid...
Gp 5 masks are better these m50s are shit
doesnt GP5 have asbestos?
@@HeadBreaker-me2sk No, only old filters do, the mask itself is rubber lol
That’s fucking hilarious bruh
