I love it, the entire composition dangles on a spider's silk where the slightest misstep could spell disaster yet every focused contribution is charging straight foreword without hesitation. Effortlessly flawless...
I love how every instrument is so important in this, you almost can't entirely focus on just one instrument because they're all so equal. No one is turned up higher or given anything majorly more outstanding than the other bandmates. It's all just one big fluid sound and I love it.
The amount of talent these people have is astounding. I stumbled across this because Ibanez shared it on instagram, (and obviously as a guitar player I will be more fascinated by the guitar) but the amount of time they had to put into this to orchestrate all those instruments must have been very consuming.
If you ever get a chance to see them live.... it will move you to tears without even noticing. Saw them on their first time out to CO in a little hole in the wall venue. Never have i ever felt so inspired or touched by the music i was hearing. I had been listening to them for like 3 years before they ever came out here, and for them to take the time to hang out with us and play hacky sack and talk about music the way they did was truly amazing. A dream come true. Wish you guys all the best of luck with the release of this new album, i always show people your music because i feel everyone can relate to it no matter what :)
this band is absolutely amazing. the guitar work is literally perfect, and very unique. The drumming is complex but it flows really well. The vocals are really different and almost ethereal, which i really enjoy, and the lyrics are great and really fit the vocalist. Pretty much everyone in the band is an amazing musician, cant wait to get the new album and hopefully see them live again soon.
went to a meet and greet for chon and they told us that they had an opportunity to write some parts on this upcoming album... they ended up not being able to, but can you imagine
It's nice to see the violin incorporated in a contemporary group like this. I am a violinist myself and I study at Berklee College of Music, so this is inspiring!
Thanks so much man. If you can, don't wait to get the album, we got 15 days left to get preorders so we can fund the album ourselves and keep making the music we love! www.littletybee.com Thanks again
This song, among others by Little Tybee, brings me to tears. I get goosebumps every time. I basically lose my mind. I dont know why. It is just so good. I play 8 string too.... I used it primarily for metal. Now, after hearing Josh, especially this song, I just bought a semi hollow 8 string and plan on putting similar, if not the same pickups in it. I also want to goto AIMM. Maybe someday.... Idk how Id ever afford it but that is my goal. Thank you, all of you. You are all just amazing.
Beyond the amazing technique they demonstrate they also show an incredible amount of restraint and tasteful songwriting. They could go full on tech death with crazy riffing and non stop notes but they opt for flow and space in the song instead. Reminds me a little of Opeth in some ways.
333jobforacowboy I agree with ur comment, this is such beautiful music. but I don't think real art exists, as art is a form of self expression and for true expression there can't be any rules or regulations, that's just my outlook tho
so who else just listened to this 15 times in a row and still cant believe how fuckin amazing this is!! like this is the most beautiful damn thing ive ever heard in my entire life!! seriously idk but the chills are realz!!!!! guys i just pledged bought both cds on bandcamp! hope everything works out for you guys!!!!
+ashitaka Same, and definitely the same when I first found out about them. I still get incredibly excited about all things little tybee. Probably more excited then I should be. I messaged them on facebook a while ago about how impressed I was with their music (and how I wish they would release lyrics) but I may have scared them because I was fan-boying too hard. (oops) But these guys are genuinely incredible. I have shown them to several friends, and all of them couldn't listen to anything else for days because it all just sounded so basic and boring compared to little tybee.
Hey Josh my band mate recently turned me on to you guys. My friend bought me a couple of your albums for Christmas and they haven't left my stereo since. So much goodnessnessnes! Keep up the amazing inspirational work! LOVE IT!
SO beautiful. I feel guilty using that word, because overuse has dissolved it, but it fits. It's genuinely disappointing to me that music like this isn't sweeping the world yet. That's a common price to pay for being ahead of your time, I suppose.
the bass player in this band might be the greatest bass player that has ever lived...like for real...there's like 4,000 people in this band...and he is not being conservative. i love it!
I understand there are a lot of instruments but can you make the electric guitar a little bit louder. I'm wearing the same headphones as them and I struggle to hear few notes when everyone is playing.,
+Semitotal i dont think they do because in other videos he uses 2 capos some times for the purpose of maintaining the same action. he wouldnt do that if he had an 8 string capo
Take off your boxing gloves If you’re gonna lay me out I want to taste the blood on your knuckles Standing here in the spot but then you never know I could be faster than you might have been told I don’t want your rage to go to waste I still have strength upon my shoulders and it’s enough to win a race When you get a bit a older You’ll see the winner keeps his pace and is not always the first out the gate I don’t want your rage to go to waste I still have strength upon my shoulders and it’s enough to win a race When you get a bit a older You get a bit older

i think that intro is the most beautiful thing i've ever heard
You are god damn right
Little Tybee is a band that would really benefit from 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound recordings.
The creativity in that guitar work is astounding.
I love it, the entire composition dangles on a spider's silk where the slightest misstep could spell disaster yet every focused contribution is charging straight foreword without hesitation. Effortlessly flawless...
Couldnt have said it better myself

Thanks so much for the kind words. It is all about putting in the time!
+Josh Martin Josh you are a literal god and pioneer

I love that violin, adds a whole new atmosphere to the song!
went to a meet and greet for chon and they told us that they had an opportunity to write some parts on this upcoming album... they ended up not being able to, but can you imagine
For Chon's last album or the one they're writing now?
+Gabe Lube this upcoming for little tybee, I wished they could have
I've never heard a band that's just so fucking full
Josh has been the only person I've ever heard use glitch tapping in their songs, even after all these years which is absolutely wild to me
It's nice to see the violin incorporated in a contemporary group like this. I am a violinist myself and I study at Berklee College of Music, so this is inspiring!
Saw them play live last night. Absolutely amazing musicianship. Everyone in the venue went crazy for the violin.
Damn wish I could see such a thing in 2020 :/
I kid you not the intro made me tear up a bit; what incredible synergy between them all!
A band of musicians with this level of talent, ability, and promise is rare. Enjoyed the song. Josh Martin and LT, "Bravissimo"!
Loving this. Looking forward to the new album. The guitarist is really something else.
Thanks so much man. If you can, don't wait to get the album, we got 15 days left to get preorders so we can fund the album ourselves and keep making the music we love! www.littletybee.com Thanks again
IF THIS BAND HAD AN NPR TINY DESK CONCERT I WOULD PEE MYSELF
the ansiety of Josh guitar is stunning
5:13 when the drummer gives his cymbal a little kiss lol
this is chill as fuck
Really nice song, glad I found it. The 8 string work is amazing
Little tybee you are such beautiful people. Love that yall wrote this into a song. I used to listen to the guitar hook on repeat all the time.
I saw this on Instagram and I just had to check it out. I was always a fan of your glitch tapping, it works really well here! I love what you do Josh!
Very cool. This kind of musicianship was more the norm when I was young, glad it's still considered important by young musicians.
Absolutely mind blowing song! Little Tybee forever!
our guitar player showed me this band a year ago and I've been hooked ever since. y'all guys never let down...love it!
Its almost not fair that your all in the same band.....your all amazingly talented.
Very good. Very rare a band puts every instrument to next to perfect use in a single song.
Bravo guys, and gals. Amazing.
thanks Tom!

You are all fantastic musicians. My buddy and I have been listening to you guys for years. This is what real art is.
333jobforacowboy I agree with ur comment, this is such beautiful music. but I don't think real art exists, as art is a form of self expression and for true expression there can't be any rules or regulations, that's just my outlook tho
real art exists but there is definitely "bad art"
*cough* popmusic *cough*
no name Pop is more about making money. Record deals can kill creativity and risk taking.
this song never gets old my goodness
Possibly the bands best performance yet. All around just lovely music.
Wow! Glad I found this! Love these sounds, and wonderful talent!
so who else just listened to this 15 times in a row and still cant believe how fuckin amazing this is!! like this is the most beautiful damn thing ive ever heard in my entire life!! seriously idk but the chills are realz!!!!! guys i just pledged bought both cds on bandcamp! hope everything works out for you guys!!!!

Miss you! Hope to hear new music from you soon!
that drummer can groove
SO beautiful. I feel guilty using that word, because overuse has dissolved it, but it fits. It's genuinely disappointing to me that music like this isn't sweeping the world yet. That's a common price to pay for being ahead of your time, I suppose.
sounds good! Josh Martin is a cool dude.
That is really crisp!
shes o amazing...she an angel when she plays..oh i love her so
This is absolutely fantastic. 100% going to preorder. Doing it tomorrow.
God I'm in love with this
love your band!
This album is going to be way too good. This music is the definition of beauty.
Also, that vocalist has incredible range. At one point he went so high I couldn't hear him anymore and my dog started howling. Kudos to you man!
I think his singing is causing your dog ears to hurt. 🐶🐩
3:27 musical bliss - could to listen to this bit on loop
Dan Johnson that’s the part I keep rewinding to!!
Amazing!!!
That guitar tone is fucking prime
Awesome song!!
I had to cross-reference the studio recording to make sure this wasn't overdubbed. Really incredibly good work.
i had to cross reference your mom...to make sure you werent gay

I'm high AF and this song was a fucking adventure! amazing
theArchive1O I was on acid the first time I heard this song. Needless to say it took me to another planet

these guys would kill it playing with Portugal the Man. anyone know if they have or not? seeing them this week open for CHON
Love how every guy with glasses has a beard and they're the ones that feel the music the most
sounds good
I need that sweater.
This man makes the guitar sound like a harp
I'm going to show this to my boss, he's gonna love it immediately
the bass player in this band might be the greatest bass player that has ever lived...like for real...there's like 4,000 people in this band...and he is not being conservative. i love it!

Браво !
So fucking good
I like that bass player
THANKS SPOTIFY
did she get a new violin? This sounds fantastic. If there was anyway I could get the sheet music for this violin part I would be hella pleased.
brillant made
how the fuck did i not discover this band earlier?
My thoughts exactly, back when I found them.
Dope
i wonder who the one disliker is i can picture him smirking and thinking how cool he is to be that guy....haha
The dislike button is there for a reason, ya know? I'll give it a thumbs up, even if this isn't my kind of music. Skilled.
I understand there are a lot of instruments but can you make the electric guitar a little bit louder. I'm wearing the same headphones as them and I struggle to hear few notes when everyone is playing.,
I have that guitar! Best guitar.
(the eight string)
Awesome. I'd love an eight string
anyone know the name of the drummer ? everyone is so amazing but he stood out to me.
Could Ibanez not construct a capo that covers all of the strings especially for this video?
+Paul Brosnan He didn't need it to.
Ben anonnimous Still, from an aesthetic point of view it would have looked better.
Paul Brosnan At the rate 8-strings are getting popular, you might see something like that soon.
+Paul Brosnan He might have wanted the low string to be open. Partial capos are a thing.
+Semitotal i dont think they do because in other videos he uses 2 capos some times for the purpose of maintaining the same action. he wouldnt do that if he had an 8 string capo
It fucks me up that the singer is the tallest. I’ve only seen him sitting down until now
Love this band.
That snare is driving me nuts though.
Amazing. Lyrics?
3:29 DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THAT EFFECT ON ELECTRIC GUITAR?
The Sprint guitar leson by Rob scallon
I wonder if the 8 people who disliked this, so far, were just having a really shitty day
One person for every string on the guitar :3
+Chad Watson Nah, bro.. Probably just Bieber fans.
what's the album's name?
It's Little Tybee :)
😎
The name of the girl with the violin, please? thanks!
María José Carmona Her name is Nirvana Kelly Scott
Aaron Garza gracias!!!
María José Carmona De nada :)
W H O A !
Take off your boxing gloves
If you’re gonna lay me out I want to taste the blood on your knuckles
Standing here in the spot but then you never know
I could be faster than you might have been told
I don’t want your rage to go to waste
I still have strength upon my shoulders
and it’s enough to win a race
When you get a bit a older
You’ll see the winner keeps his pace
and is not always the first out the gate
I don’t want your rage to go to waste
I still have strength upon my shoulders
and it’s enough to win a race
When you get a bit a older
You get a bit older
Involuntary smile
I think I could listen to an album of just Josh and Nirvana playing. I think this is my favorite track off the album (so far!).
Someone didn´t like flying while is hearing awesome music :(
The Tone from the electric guitar is so peculiar. Is he just going from guitar to amp? It sounds like he's using a slight filter of some sort
play Saturnine
This band should be renamed, "IRONIC" or the "FIXIES" !!! All they need is a Banjo and Uke and they're on their way!!!
All joking aside, even though this music or the whole hipster thing isn't my cup of tea, I'll give credit where credit is due. They do have talent and that's all that counts in the end.
lol
ZootSuitWolf this music isn’t really hipster. Lol
