@Jonontoast I absolutely see your point mate, but even with the fact that I haven't been able to catch too many Watford games with Ben in the goalie, he was pretty pretty decent in the ones that I actually have seen -especially for his age- however this still is just a challenge video, not a Prem. match. I think when he puts his 100 percent, he is again, pretty decent at worst and top 10 at best. Just my opinion.
@JonontoastI know Watford are relegated, and like I've said, he is a top ten *in my opinion* I know that's not a fact. BUT, you agreeing on which your statement came from watching this particular video makes it a bit shaky. Remember the United match from earlier this season, which they've lost something like 2/3-1 and it is because of Ben it wasn't a trashing, like 5-6 goals. And if my memory serves me right, he did indeed make save from his right side, blocked a goal from the top left corner. I know he isn't "elite" anymore (I'm not a "stan" of his either, don't think he ever was that level) but *like I've said* when he gives his %100, I think he is at the very least in the top ten keepers in PL, and that's just my opinion. If he retires, he retires. I wouldn't cry over it, it'd just be an end of an era.
(Also have you ever caught Handanovic's games at Inter? I believe they're at the same age but the mistakes and incapabilities he have shown this year, compared to what Ben did against arguably some of the best teams of Europe highlights my point)

These were some of the shots you see. But in games you will not even predict on what is coming. Jordan always attack out of nowhere with the opposition thinking of playing the ball not knowing where she came from. And Mead is always the player who will keep on running into you, whether she score or end up in free kick, or penalty if in the box. Of course her craziest goals are outstanding. Lotte is mostly center back and can score header goals from corners coming into the box. Glad you did not bring Viv, or she would've shown you what strike is hahaha

As a former keeper (college + Olympic + semi-pro).. Nobbs wrap around shot is impossible to read. Especially when she opened up her hips and still hit it across her body. Very impressive.

Ball is coming pretty slow but only Nobbs was able to control it decently. Even the finishes in the two touch section seemed more like passes. They were much better with one touch. Some great shots and goals in that section.

Ben honestly looked like he was going half speed to me until he got to Mead. Once he realized she had the placement and the speed on the ball he tried a lot harder. I was impressed with her delivery. First two I think he took it a little easier on them. They just didn’t have the pace.

Thanks for creating this ! This looked fun for those involved, but if it were filmed before the season ended, all would likely have to participate at well-less than 100% in order to fulfil contractual duties. Goes to show how much talent was on the pitch (including Foster).

I think at the beginning psychologically , being up against a male pro, it was obvious they were trying to welly it too hard , but as it went on you could see they settled and relaxed and stopped trying to go for maximum pace and started placing the ball Its a lot harder than it looks because in training they shoot against the same keepers week in week out so if your suddenly taking repeated shots against a pro keeper you`ve never faced before it takes some time to adjust
Most of the goals they scored he literally stood in the middle of the goal and made no attempt at a save
@@wyssmaster Some maybe more correct. But that was a lot of shots in a row to go full out on. He might have tired and let more in if he went hard on every stop. Plus, the girls hit a lot of bars and posts. Very close to being impossible to stop on most of those. All in all, the ladies did better than I expected.

@@sanjaykrishna2646 Lol no. That's how goalkeeping works. A goalie sometimes won't move if they can't get there in time and can't react. The goals the women did make were perfectly placed. He was trying, he just can't save them because no one can. In training, players usually miss most shots. I talked to a woman who was a photographer for a men's professional team. When she took photos of their training sessions, the men missed almost every shot.

I remember when you played for Stoke Ben. I played for the groundsman's Sunday team and also played on a Saturday. his name was "Jacko". I injured my left knee and saw the then stoke physio, he diagnosed a torn meniscus! wasnt his fault as a didnt play for stoke so i disnt matter...I was to have 3 operations before they diagnosed that I'd torn my ACL and MCL. I had 12 operations in the end! 7 on the MCL x2 on the ACL. Steve Bollen put my ACL right and Robin Gilbert sorted my MCL. Back when I first injured it in 2004 you asked Jacko quite a few times how I was getting on and he always told me...Just to take time out and ask him how I was getting on showed class and something a lot of modern day pros lack. Ben... I just want to say...a belated Thank you for that! live long and prosper👍🏻

Love it! It would be great to see you get more women's players involved. Loved it when the Sidemen did it as well. The more eyes that can get on the WSL and women's soccer in general the better!
I'm convinced some of these comments are from people who came in expecting poor standard and watched every goal thinking it was already going to be poor. Loads of sexist comments that need to be ignored, because some of those finishes were great, top bins and woodwork hits with power. Some of those first time finishes were great.
I've said this before but I think some of the finishing in the women's game is better than the men's to a degree. They have great technique and accuracy, something a lot of Prem strikers lack tbh
